Lots of brunch menu options,. The food was delicious, the ambience is beautiful, and the service was very attentive. Bonus was the amazing jazz band during Sunday brunch!
While the food and drinks were great as usual, having to wait an hour to get a table was rather disappointing. They seem to know how to take a reservation just not follow through with the time of the reservation.
We had an 8:45pm reservation. We weren't seated until after 9:30 and didn't receive beverages or bread for the table until after 10pm. Food was decent but not worth the hassle or wait.
We have been to 3 different locations of Fig & Olive. The food at this location in Meat Packing District was delectable. The service is very good too. The only complaint I have is the noise level, which is just too loud with the background music. It may help if the music is turned down a bit, especially the place is packed on Saturday night.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service & food. Loved the ambiance.
First visit and would surely go back. Cocktails were great and everything we ate was delicious.
The place is beautiful, the food is great, but it is cold. We were reminded rather tersely that we needed to close our tab before going to our table. The service was fine, but abrupt, not smooth. No greeting or check in or excuse me. The dishes appear and disappear - literally in front of your face. The food was good, the service cold, functional, mechanical.
Accommodates large groups and very helpful
We always go to Fig and Olive when in NYC. Great food, nice atmosphere. We split most dishes , which keeps the cost moderate.
Nice atmosphere. Food was fantastic. A bit pricey
Love this place. Food is always very good. Nice wine list. One of my favorite restaurants in the city.
Nice place, great atmosphere. Food - good, but nothing special.
They messed up my order twice. I finally gave up and traded with my friend.
Great lunch with a friend. A bit pricey. But overall it was good.
New menu, food was not that good and tiny portions. Drinks took for ever to arrive and appetizers came almost at the same time as the entre
First time and it was great! Loved it all. Summer menu is yum! Salmon app was wow!
Brunch. All great. Band was super talented but too loud for the room - I had to strain to hear what my table mates were saying.
Food good and our server very polite however the service was slow and they forgot our crostini appetizer which is one of the reasons we chose this particular restaurant. We will go back despite this.
The ambiance and decor is a twist of modern minimalist with a vibrant energy. My boyfriend and I called to let the restaurant know we were stuck in traffic and they shared each table has a 15 minute grace period. When we arrived at 9:40 for our 9:30 reservation, we had to wait until 10:10 to be seated. We didn’t mind the wait as we sat at the bar, enjoying the Raspberry Mojito and Rosalini cocktail watching the delicious crostinis be made. We ordered 6 crostinis- burrata, manchejo, Gorgonzola, mushroom, goat cheese and prosciutto and we shared the fettuccine marscapone shrimp with a side of brussel sprouts.
Even after waiting more than 30min past the reservation time, there was no table available and we were offered the communal table.
Defeats the purpose of making the reservation.
Staff was friendly but seemed to be attending too many tables at the same time and were not able to pay proper attention to any.
Really poorly managed restaurant.
My girlfriend and I had a nice time at this place. We will definitely be back. We have come before too. She really enjoys, especially since she used to come here with her family awhile back. Altogether a really nice experience and hope to be back soon.
Brunch outside was lovely, the service was very attentive and courteous. The food was delicious and presented well. We enjoyed the complimentary truffle fries! Bonus!
The food was amazing the drinks were unique and delicious! The waiter advised us when we picked something he didn’t find as favorable which I appreciated his candor. The Hamachi Crudo tartar was outstanding!!!
We fell in love with Fig and Olive last time we came and this time reminded us why. The food is still spectacular, the drinks lovely.
Terrible experience. Seated 20 minutes late despite having a reservation. Inattentive service. Small portions not worth the price.
A wonderful spot for lunch. Reasonably quiet yet very welcoming and lovely ambience.
Finally a good place for lunch where it's not necessary to read the lips of others at the table.
The salads were delicious and a good size.
I would definitely come back.
We liked it. Food was good. We started question the service quality at the beginning. However, it was nice to have finally a waitress who knew what the proper service etiquette is, once she took over. We would come back.
Overall a pleasant experience. Sat at the bar which the bartenders were helpful in giving me his recommendations in what he liked. I actually took his suggestion of the fettuccine pasta dish which turned out to be very tasty! :)
Seven main before we had even finish appetizers. Crammed table.
Awful and extremely loud jazz??? Dou. Really loud so couldn’t talk and dreadful music. A saxophone version of the Star Wars theme? Not a restful brunch.
Their jazz brunch is lovely
Excellent pasta and risotto. Service was great. Steak was boring and restaurant too noisy.
Overpriced- not worth the price. Also found DJ music to be too much on top of already noisy environments- especially while trying to have conversations over dinner.
Had family visiting from the Uk, and first we made a reservation in STK, which we decided to forgo based on a very awkward table (freezing day, empty restaurant, so their obvious choice was to give us the window seat with no heating), and less than enthusiastic greeting. At the end we realized they did us a favor because Fig & Olive made our night from start to end with their outstanding service and food. I can’t say enough how great the waiting staff was (made us feel welcomed and had us laughing all night), how delicious every bite was from appetizer to mains, well crafted cocktails and a great wine list. Very successful night!
Excellent food, ok service. Noise level too high, although the restaurant was almost empty at 5pm
Very good - prix fixe menu was very good
Celebration of son’s marriage and my birthday
The filet mignon! Omg amazing! And my friend loved her raspberry mojito!
My only complaint was that, while the servers were truly excellent, they interrupted our conversation multiple time during each course to ask if we were done so that they could clear our plates away. We felt a little pressured to eat more quickly and to leave sooner than we may have wanted. Otherwise, everything was top notch!
My wife and I have eaten at tons of restaurants all over the New York City area as well as many other states and countries around the world. We went to Fig & Olive to celebrate her 50th Birthday. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals we both have ever had. Every morsel of food was fabulous from the Crostini's to the apps to Beef and Chicken entrees as well as dessert. Elevating the experience was the impeccable and attentive service from the host and our waiter Bobby, a Welshman with a terrific personality.
I couldn't think of a restaurant I would recommend more.
