The service was severely lacking, but the food was fantastic.
As USUAL, the Fig & Olive experience was WONDERFUL!! My girlfriend and and I enjoy The Sunday Jazz-Brunch!! But there are NO bad experiences at Fig & Olive!!
Most unwelcoming unhelpful host. If they want repeat business they would do well to change their hosts. The wait staff and crew were fantastic.
Amazing food and service, would recommend in a heartbeat
Excellent food, great service, nice fun crowd.
Met a coworker for dinner and the service, food and ambiance were all great.
We love Fig & Olive. It’s our absolute favorite place for date night and/or to celebrate birthdays!
The beef carpaccio and chocolate pot de creme are exceptional.
Great food presentation, taste and atmosphere. Staff was friendly.
I've been this place for business meetings before and every time was a good choice, so I decided to go with my friends and like I thought, no regrets of the restaurant pick.
Its one of those places that you want fancy x tasty food x price x service.
I would def. recommend this place and would def. come back for friends/business meetings as well.
Great customer service. Great food. Great neighborhood.
I really like the ambiance and service while i was eating there. I am definitely going back again.
Excellent food and service. Great place for a friends brunch or business meeting. I visit Fig & Olive every time I’m in NYC!
Loved the live jazz music at brunch
Our family's go to place for birthday Sunday Brunch. Love the jazz music and how Fig and Olive have become our party of our family's tradition.
Excellent as usual , the ambience and music was great on Saturday
Great food and wonderful service. Because of rain and traffic, we arrived 15 minutes late but were seated quickly and the wait staff was very accommodating and friendly. Fun place to people watch too! The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable even for a family dinner on a Saturday night.
Wonderful risotto. Love the crostini. The space is beautiful.
Great place to stop for lunch when exploring the area. The food is excellent (the cauliflower in particular was outstanding)
The place was beautiful! loved how each rooms was decorated differently. The food was good. My daughter was not too happy with her meal, saying something was not cooked long enough or too hard but all in all very good she said.
The one negative is the waitress had a very sloppy nail polish job on her nails. Half of the nail was not polished. For such a nice place to eat I would think a requirement would be to either have all nails plain or all polished. She also was a bit slow on asking if we wanted our check then slow on getting it from our table.
But beside those things it was nice, it was my daughters birthday and I called ahead to ask for a candle and cake or something and they remembered, which she loved. Next time I go I would ask to sit in the room with all white table cloths.
Second trip to Fig & Olive Meatpacking and was just as impressed as the first time! This time around I had to try the signature Crostinis... had the Burrata and Shrimp ones and not only were they very tasty, but it was more than enough for lunch... I even brought two home!
I took 7 friends to this restaurant--I've been here many times, but this one missed the mark. The waiter messed up two of the ladies' orders and had to re enter their salad orders after the rest of our meals were already delivered. We all waited for their two meals to come out of the kitchen which made our meals cold by the time we ate them. It was a 20 minute wait for the last two dishes to come out and this restaurant wasn't even busy! This could have been remedied in so many ways--the waiter could have offered them a free cocktail while they waited or he could've offered them another crostini or whatever--But he offered absolutely nothing. A very meek apology was all we got. We were fully charged for everything even though it was pretty much a disaster. We ordered drinks and appetizers and left a 25% tip as per our usual standard. So undeserved. Never again.
Hi. I would "recommend" with a caveat because it seems, compared with prior visits, the food was just not up to par as usual. The mushroom croquettes have always been a staple of ours; this time, they were very "mayonnaisey" and bland; the fig and olive salad, usually a large and healthy-looking dish, looked sloppy and "thrown together and was drowned in dressing; I added salmon this time and got a tiny overcooked "filet" (piece). The Hamachi crudo was a real mess; the complementary citrus was just too much for the sashimi and it tasted to be honest, just awful. Separating the fish out from the rest helped but that's not the point is it? :) My friend's cauliflower was overcooked (some were actually burned) but neither of us made a big deal out of any of this (for example, returning any dish, which we probably should have) although we did make one or 2 comments to our server. Our thought was that the chef that night was just not with it and we would still receive the same substandard food had we asked for replacements. Oh well. I'm taking the time to negatively feedback because overall we do like fig and olive and have been there many times. True, the DJ music can be overwhelmingly loud at times (hint hint) but that said, its usually a good evening. This time it simply was not. GM.. and CHEF: are you listening?
The restaurant is beautiful and the food is always fantastic. The crostini starters are a must - especially the burrata! Wait staff gives just the right amount of attention. A favorite spot for brunch and dinner.
Front reception polite business like however not eager or effusive.
Great brunch, with an excellent fixed price lunch with a variety of choices for each course. Delicious carrot and ginger soup, served fresh! Extremely attentive service and live music to really top of the day!
Horrible too noisy
Loved the interior - waitress informed us the restaurant featured in Sex and the City as a brunch spot. Food was fabulous, loved the location and the service second to none. Not the cheapest but was certainly memorable.
The food here is very, very good. Which, if you’ve read anything about Fig & Olive, probably isn’t surprising. Their cocktails are also delicious. The ingredients are fresh and extremely high quality, the flavor combinations are nuanced and sophisticated, and there’s something on the menu for everyone. We had very good service, and the staff and kitchen were very accommodating when we told them my partner couldn’t have gluten or dairy. They were able to make risotto without cheese taste amazing (I had some of her dish). The decor can really only be described as tastefully swanky. Our only complaint was the music, which was decidedly less nuanced and sophisticated than the food being served. I think they can hit the young, hip demographic while playing a selection that is as high class as the rest of what they do. It certainly won’t deter us from returning, but will limit the kind of occasions we come for.
This was my third time eating at Fig & Olive Meatpacking and it did not fail to impress! My fiance and I brought his parents for dinner and they LOVED it! They especially loved the unique ambiance and interior design which gave an overall trendy, but still relaxed feel. The food was consistently delicious with a very large menu. I got the salmon with cauliflower and greens which came with an absolutely delicious sauce that really elevated the creativity of the dish. Another favorite that night was the truffle risotto which is always a winning choice. I would HIGHLY recommend Fig & Olive Meatpacking for really any and all dinner occasions from date night to dinner with family or friends to birthday celebrations. It always delivers high quality service, innovative Mediterranean food, and a really fun and beautiful dining environment. I can't wait to go back!
Always consistently good food, atmosphere and music. One of my go to spots
Enjoyed our visit with friends here. Service was attentive and the food was excellent.
Love the atmosphere and vibrant food. The Appetizer Tasting is worth going for and the Mushroom Croquettes were excellent!
Very fair experience for the price. Would not repeat for a special occasion as it seems to be a hectic place.
We eat here often! Open Table NEVER tells a patron when menu is prix fix!! Big problem! We don’t do prix fix. Service was awful, food was like eating in a factory! Complete wast of money, Great way to ruin a wonderful occasion!
Thanks Open Table. This is something you always do!!!
Really nice place with good food.
It was not my first visit and it definetly will not be my last.
I always love to go to fig and olive. Great food, always consistent with their quality. Ambience is great.
Atmosphere was energetic but food was disappointing. Our waiter was very nice but seemed to have too many tables as he kept apologizing for being slow to get to us. I think there are better options in NYC to eat good food.
