Always a nice treat when visiting NY. Thank you
Large portions. Quick service. Good basic diner food.
Wonderful … one of our favorites go to place!
Honestly, I’ve been at the restaurant plenty of times and love it, but this time the server made our experience very uncomfortable.
Everything was great up until the appetizers. The wine and the appetizers arrived fast on the table. We had 2 managers checking up on our table, making sure everything was great. Then we were left with our empty plates for a while and our server was never to be found. We asked a bus boy to clean our table so we can get our entrees, he said he will be right back and never saw him again. We finally got our entrees and after we were done we told the manager that we would like dessert and champagne bc it was my birthday. Our dessert came, no utensils, no champagne until minutes after. The table next to us got a dessert with a candle which was kind of ironic bc we stated it was my birthday as well. At the end, our server told us that we can’t go yet because we haven’t paid (it was a QR receipt) but I showed him the email with the receipt. Minutes later he told us that there was an issue to their system and he didn’t see that. Anyway, overall now a $400 dinner experience for sure.
Went to Fig & Olive for lunch after going to the Whitney. Food was very good, as was the service, and it's a lovely space to sit in and enjoy conversation with friends. What brings my rating down is that it is very expensive for the food offered (even taking into account recent Covid-related price increases). But, for a once in a while visit, I can recommend this restaurant.
It was great!
Excellent food and service. Fig & Olive made our evening exceptional.
Great good, server seemed inexperienced and not very attentive. Secondary servers very efficient
seems staff was off, we received appetizers before our drinks and some mains before last appetizers. Then they were clearing table before we were even finished and had to beg for sauce that was supposed to come with pork. Food still good, but maybe they had an off night staff wise.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with enthusiasm and treated well. Our server, Nedra, was warm, thoughtful, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent. All the staff was friendly and engaging. It is clear that everyone at the restaurant is well trained in service and is focused on providing an exceptional guest experience. After the pandemic shutdown, it was a real treat to dine here and to be tested so well.
Usually everything is great. But this night staff was definitely off. Drinks took at least 35mins to receive after ordering (each round) and the restaurant was almost empty. And food allergies (some physical, some religious) were ignored. I'm sure by accident or inexperienced staff/chef but as a result, and after waiting so long for the meal, a couple of courses were inedible for half the party . A bit disappointed in the evening, although the manager was nice and did apologize. Def an off night... Next time I'll make sure to go not on a Tuesday.
Food great. Service good. Very loud, but there was a baby sleeping at the table next to us. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Wonderful staff greeted us and promptly verified vaccination cards.
Our server was professional and helpful and made the evening flow seamlessly. Food was excellent!
It is a bit pricey, but the food is amazing. Get the mushroom flatbread and crostini.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! Fig & Olive is always consistent and delicious.
Strange waitress who visited frequently but didn’t remember our order , good overpriced crostini, terrible entree with pasta undercooked and virtually un-spiced , waitress then was unfindable to get the check
I came here for my sons birthday and had not been here since the pandemic. Everything was as I remembered, excellent. I feel that the lighting may have been a little low, but the food was superb and the ambience was really nice. I feel like this is a place where you expect the best and you get the best. I will come back again.
Our waiter Rocco was great, he helped make the Brunch experience even better.
Sublime! This was undoubtedly the best meal I have had in a very long time. We had visited Little Island and walked up the street to Fig and Olive. Our outdoor dining experience was so pleasant on a warm October evening. We were promptly seated and very shortly our server welcomed us. He was so pleasant, entertaining and knowledgeable. We couldn't believe it when he told us later in the evening that this was his first day there. He recommended the bouillabaise (my fav) which the chef was debuting. Smart of the chef to have the staff taste the meal so they could speak from experience. My cocktail - the signature Fig and olive - was delish and refreshing. Enjoyed it with a mushroom and leek flatbread. The flavors were distinct yet subtle enough not to overwhelm one another and the hint of honey finished it perfectly. Rocco (i believe that was our server's name) checked in with us regularly but did not hover or rush us. He let us know that the bouillabaise would be finished at the table. When it arrived we totally enjoyed the presentation. It was swift, not overly dramatic and fun. And then we tasted it.........I died and went to heaven....or at least to Nice. The different fish were fresh and firm and so flavorful and the seasonings in the broth were perfect! They blended to create an amazing flavor. I didn't want it to end. Chocolate mousse that we shared topped off a perfect meal. Again, so tasty yet not too overpowering or too sweet. The hint of heat was also a nice touch. Can't wait to return.
It’s not as it used to be at all , they let us make a res on Opentable table 4:45pm once we got there they said they will open at 5pm , we sat at the bar restaurant almost empty no one came to seat us , when we went to the the front desk to ask for our table at 5:10 pm the hostess Said “I can seat you but your server in on break “ .Ordered the bulgur salad but it was quinoa at least tell us in advance , Tuna app was good so is the hanger steak
Server not knowledgeable at all he’s just an order taker.
Lleve a mi nieta de 12 años, me piden la carta de vacunacion completa y id,y despues me quieren sentar en el bar,la comida regular,y muy caro, muy ruidoso
The food was delicious and the server was wonderful! Great brunch! We ate outside but the room was beautiful!
The food was surprisingly disappointing and our waiter was condescending. The menu has changed and all dishes now seem to include hot spices like harissa or chili, which I can't tolerate. Sadly, one of our favorite restaurants is now off our list of places to dine.
Fantastic. Great food. Beautiful restaurant. Great cocktails and amazing service. One of my top 5 in NY.
Food was great. Service was insanely slow- it too 30–40 mins to get a drink after ordering, food took a long time also. Overall, - bce place, but be prepared for slow service
excellent brunch! Superb Bloody Marys!
Excellent food, atmosphere, and amazing service!
Really poor service and average food
Wonderful food and superior service
It was a while since I had been to Fig & Olive. My previous experiences were excellent. This time, the food was subpar - the charred octopus was tough and lukewarm when served, and the lamb chops were extremely tough as well. I wasn't thrilled with the wine, either, but that was my choice (my preferred one was unavailable). On the other hand, cocktails and crostinis were excellent, as I remembered them.
Amazing food! Amazing service
Our waiter made my birthday celebration an extra special event - even sharing that he had the same birthday. Food, drinks, and service were excellent.
The service was poor. It was four of us. Two people got drinks and two had to wait 10 plus minutes. Same with the entrees. Desert was worse. The three who ordered desert each got it separately over time. When I mentioned it to waiter he did bring us a complimentary drink but the poor service added an hour to our brunch. Two of the diners had a plane to catch.
Great food. Good prices. Terrible service. Multiple drink orders never came. The server would disappear for 20-30 minute intervals.
Very great food & outstanding service. We love dining here :)
Love the jazz band that was playing on Saturday. Decor is really pretty and the food is great. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
This is one our favorite restaurants and they never disappoint. We had a variety of crostini to share. My daughter had the lemon chicken, which was good, but not very interesting. I had the duck which was very good, while my husband had the paella, which he liked. Of course, I also had to have one of their matador drinks, which I always love. We'll be back!
