I really like the atmosphere of Fig and Olive at 13th street. The restaurant is so spacious and elegant, and the staff are welcoming and efficient. My usual favorites are the selections of Crostini and the Mushroom Croquettes! I crave the croquettes very often, so I order them at home and in the restaurant. Highly recommended!
I usually love fig and olive. they changed there menu a lot and some of the dishes are missing or altered, also noticed the portions have gotten smaller. They also forgot my birthday candle even though they were told several times it was my birthday.
We went for dinner, I had only been to fig & olives for brunch (in the UES) and I loved it ! So I had great expectations for this dinner. Infortunately, it wasn’t very good. I had the balsamic glazed short rib. The polenta was good but the meat was terrible. Would definitely not recommend this entree. One friend had the primavera risotto which was kind of bland. Apple tart is excellent though and service is good. So overall pricey for the experience and disappointing if you are a food lover.
They have a DJ on Friday night, it’s really cool but be prepared to raise your voice.
Our experience was nice but I thought our waiter was a bit rude
Professional service but it was little too pushy... she was trying to over push every product!
The other guests in my party had great looking and tasting food.
I'd ordered the prix fixe which was good but the chicken salad was very disappointing.
This is typically our first dinner when we visit NYC. The food is excellent and the Meatpacking location is typically more sedate than the others. Highly recommended!
Great Saturday night spent there with family. Food, service and ambiance amazing. Favourite restaurant when in New York.
Great food and great environment.
Lovely atmosphere in this spacious and elegant restaurant. Terrific bruschetta and a really delicious octopus starter. My chicken salad needed salt, lovely wines by the glass. Such a nice lunch!!!
Best vibes! Absolute favorite place! Eat here 2x a week! Recommended for dinner, lunch, all occasions! Food is delicious and so are drinks!!!
Great as usual. One of those places you can always count on!!!
A consistently great restaurant for lunch or brunch. A bit pricey, however, so I save it for special occasions. The Fig and Olive Salad is my favorite - always fresh and delicious.
This Fig & Olive location in Meatpacking is one of the best brunch places. Beautiful space, open and spacious seating, live jazz and the food was great.
I would recommend Fig and Olive with one exception. The food, ambience and service are all really good, but the portions of food are tiny, which makes the food very over priced for what you get.
Beautiful interior. Good food and pleasant service. We would return.
As appetizer we ordered the Signature Crostini- 6 different flavors- it was ok, not great.
After this I ordered the truffle risotto and my wife the Wild Mushroom Rigatoni, both were just fine not delicious.
The wine was a Sommelier’s choice and it was very good.
The waitress was nice and attentive, the decor is neat.
Two of us had the skirt steak both of us said it was the best we ever had. Fun place they had a trio playing while your dining perfect background music. Only issue some of the tables are a little to close together.
The meal would have been totally without reproach had the waiter been more energetic. He did not bring the olive oil sampler tray as described in the menu, as he had to others around us, until we asked for it. We were not sure if he were trying to not be pushy or was just not paying attention to us. Very laid back. The rest of the wait staff was perfect. The food was delicious. The crostini and cauliflower appetizers were fabulous. Lobster ravioli and braised pork spare ribs were filling and excellent. We would highly recommend the dessert sampler tray.
Extremely impressed with Fig and Olive. Cant wait to go back
This was a good choice before theater in the neighborhood. I really enjoyed the crostini selection; everything we tried was delicious, as was the glass of crisp rose. Service was slowish.
Lovely lunch with friends. Great menu and wine.
Food, service and atmosphere were outstanding!
Love this place
Good food, beautiful ambiance. I do feel the crostini was not necessarily worth the price for the size. We also dined there during lunch on a week day so it was pretty quiet and not what we had expected. All in all a fine experience but not anything above and beyond.
Loved it!! The crostini selection is yummy!!
It was a nice experience but I wasn't pleased with the waiter.
A good place for an evening business meeting. Nothing’s spectacular but all very good. Some dishes are excellent, some very good, nothing mediocre. Open space keeps noise within reason and conversation is not strained.
The ambience was beautiful and staff very attentive and friendly. The menu had great selections for vegetarians and everything we ordered was presented beautifully with lots of flavor and taste . The portions were adequate and filling . Great wine selections as well we will definitely come back
I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday. I have been one other time, but it was his first. We arrived early for our reservation and we were seated right away. Our waiter and the staff were extremely attentive without being pushy or hovering over us. They all took into account my dairy allergy and provided me with the proper information for my order. For the special occasion, they brought out a dessert platter on the house and even took the dairy allergy into consideration as well. All in all, we had a lovely experience and can’t wait to come back!!
Great service and food for a late Sunday lunch sat at the bar.
Cozy place with a good jazz playing. The food is good, but nothing beyond that. Would I go again? Yes!
The bus boy and server lady kept hovering around our table, trying to take away the dishes even when we were still eating. There constant intrusion made the experience annoying. We felt super rushed even though it was not that crowded at the time. Wish they could be more polite and give people time to enjoy their meals and have conversation. Food was good, small portions though. Ambiance was great.
Such a great experience here from the moment I walked in! Can’t wait to go back
Perfect as always
Had lots of fun
Entertained an important vendor
Loved it! Had the 3 crostini’s but next time I’ll get more!! The potato leek soup was amazing.
The ambiance at this Fig and Olive was nice. It was not crowded the day we had lunch. The food was good but the day we dined there the service was really not good. No one came back after our initial order to see if we wanted something, which we did. We had to flag someone down to add to our order or get something for the table. We were really disappointed in this aspect of the restaurant.
