Our favorite date night spot in the Meatpacking District. And an AOC sighting too! Thanks for another five star night of perfect courses, invisible service, and a feeling of extended family from everyone at Fig & Olive.
We had a reservation at 2:00 pm. We arrived around 1:55 pm and waited in the reception area. At around 2:05 another group of 3 arrived and were immediately seated. At 2:15 another group of 3 arrived and were seated a couple of minutes later. We were seated a couple of minutes later. The food was at best mediocre. Service was just ok. Very busy and loud atmosphere. I will not go back. Not recommended.
We were sat late for a reservation, it took 10 to 15 minutes before we even got water and an hour later before we got food
Great everything! Every Sunday they have a live jazz duo at this location and their music is great...but the food is ALWAYS fantastic, varied and super yummy
Great service, ambiance and food was amazing! Had a wonderful girls night out.
I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. We waited a while to be seated; however, the staff was very welcoming and offered us complimentary champagne. There was a DJ which added to the overall vibe of the location. The short ribs were slightly on the salty side but generous in portion. The paella was spicy and the portion was minimal. The food was flavorful but not necessarily my preference. The lobster risotto was delicious; probably the best plate ordered. The Rosé sangria was delightly sweet; just how I like my drinks.
The food was amazing! The service was great too, the waitress surprised us with a courtesy champagne glass for our anniversary and was very polite and professional. The only thing I wasn’t to pleased with was the hostess, when we came in no one greeted us. There was no one in the front desk and once the hostess arrived she didn’t even say anything I had to tell her I had a reservation.
Food was outstanding for my second time in 2 months. Service could use a little more white glove attentiveness for the prices, in defense it was a Friday in meatpacking, But overall great food ( chateau Briand) and ambiance.
Great dinner; in all ways exceptional
We frequent fig and olive but first time in your location. Service here us disappointing. Food was cold.
As vegetarians, it’s always great to enjoy a good meal because meat is so ubiquitous.
3 of us - brunch - mushroom rigatoni, egg white omelette and fruit plate. Crustini appetizers YUMMY.
Plan to have a leisurely lunch in a noisy but fun atmosphere.
Greeter also great guy.
The service is always spotty. We were ignored the entire time. Super frustrating.
Only problem I had is that they didnt inform clearly in advance about a fixed menu. And i had to wait 50 min for my table, although I did made reservations.
However nice manager and he tried to solve it.
I can only give Fig and Olive a 2 rating based off of their Valentine’s Day fixed menu. Usually the food is great here but what they selected for this special menu was horrible. For $189 my boyfriend and I received a bottle of wine, a small individual salad that was served for 2.They didn’t even bring out bread and olive oil. We then waited between 45 min to an hour for our entree to come which was Branzino that was fileted at the table by what looked like one of the bust boys who to his defence was looking for the hostess to help him. Leaving the branzino full of bones. The hostess was seating people and busting tables all while her long hair was out swinging all over the place, she wore leggings and a vest with her arms exposed and this is the (professional person) that was also helping to filet the branzinos. So not professional!! The dessert was a hot mess as well, awful. So needless to say DO NOT go to Fig and Olive Meatpacking for any holidays where the menu is prix fixed. Not to mention we were looking forward to the original menu and were surprised that this menu existed, we were never told when we made the reservation. It’s a rip off service was scarce and the food was not what they usually prepare. It was cheap and not well put together. Not worth the money or disappointment.
I was unaware there was a Valentine’s Day pre-fix menu and they required us to both order from it
Always a great place to go for any occasion...like a stress-free trip to the Mediterranean!
Great ambiance, great food and drinks , waitress was also great ! Perfect Sunday brunch location !
Love the restaurant and the food. Just wish the tables weren’t packed together so tightly. It was a bit cramped.
Food was pretty good. Service was ok not great. Ambiance similar to other Fig & Olives I have been to in California, Westchester County NY, and other NYC locations. It was quite crowded and the tables are tight but it has a good vibe, lively mood. I would recommend it to others depending on the occasion.
Love the unique dishes. Crustinis were especially good for sharing.
The food and atmosphere was excellent.the restaurant is a little loud and the service could have been a bit better.
Great place! The food was delicious! Service was great. I loved the DJ playing beats but not loud where you can’t hold a conversation. Definitely would return!
Went for Winter NYC restaurant week 2019. Chose this restaurant because they offered vegetarian options, which is rare to find for many RW prix fixe menus. The potato leek soup was very good. Unfortunately, the second main dish pumpkin risotto was undercooked. It stuck together on my plate in clumps and was unpleasant to eat. I couldn't even finish it. The cheesecake dessert was very well presented and rich.
This restaurant has the best appetizers with the flavorful, varied crostini toppings and the delicious mushroom croquets! I feel lucky too that the location near my home is so spacious and pretty (compared to the restaurant in the east). From the main dishes, I recommend the whole branzino for fish-lovers! Definitely worth repeating over and over again.
Beautiful space. Flavorful we’ll prepared foods. Services on the slow side but not too bad. Overall very good lunch experience.
I will definitely be going back. The service was attentive but not overly so, our meals were delicious and satisfying, and the ambience was lovely. Truly one of my favorite recent dining experiences in NYC.
Atmosphere is excellent, host stand was very accommodating and professional. The food and drinks were great! The server was good, but not excellent. Although her service was good, it was not to the standard I would’ve expected for an establishment of this caliber. I would still come back for another try on the service!
Another delightful meal! Went to RW lunch which I often do because choices are good and it is always an oasis whether in winter cold or summer sweltering!
Had the delicious mushroom croquettes, black paella, and house white, all delicious! Also love the focaccia with olive oil sampler, blood orange was divine. Will pick up a bottle next trip!
Food is consistently delicious however, the service is consistently slow despite the seemingly over staffed dining room. Every time I dine during lunch, I have to ask someone to find my server to order and clearing takes forever. Such a shame because the good quality is fantastic
Delicious as always!! The menu was creative and each dish we had was fantastic. Cocktails were great. Can’t wait to go back!
It’s a nice place, the waitress was friendly and the food was good. The bus boys were always ready to snatch my plate at any given moment, which meant the restaurant wanted us out asap. It was still early dunner and many tables were empty so it was not clear why they so desperately wanted us to eat and leave. The food was good, I loved desert and the main course. The place is pretty abd the lighting is well planned. The bathroom was very dirty which was strange for 6 pm on a weekday.
We've been dining at Fig & Olive basically since it opened and we have always had a wonderful experience. We love the decor and the imaginative turn with the food Staff have always been professional and courteous.
This is just a great place.
Pleasant surroundings and excellent service. We went for brunch which has a so-so menu. Nothing outstanding and not a pancake in sight. My steak was over cooked. The $17 cheesecake was the size of a mini-muffin. Glad they are watching my waistline for me. Bloody Mary was overly spiced. Thankfully we were seated far from the live jazz ensemble so we could talk. This place is convenient to the Whitney Museum and I would otherwise not seek it out.
The service was horrible, not really worth to recommend or come back
Absolutely gorgeous brunch spot! Food is delicious.
Very good restaurant enjoyed the food, service was excellent and room is fabulous. A little loud but is not an issue.
My wife and I had an outstanding dinner during restaurant week. Thank you.
Not ss good as usul but maitre de is excellent.
