Too noisy. Not possible to have a conversation...Need to install sound insulation
Great server. very
I found the restaurant warm in temperature for my tastes.
I had a little trouble communicating with the person at the front desk when I wanted to change my table and be switched to a free table that wasn’t So tightly crowded with others nearby. Perhaps a bit of a language barrier
My request via opentable was ignored. The hostesses could be more welcoming/friendly/helpful. Waitstaff were great. We enjoyed the food.
25min late to seat us; waiter never came by until we were ready to order dessert. We placed food and drinks orders w two different managers. Very poor service. Food was good but a bit underwhelming (and I’m in grad school... not like I eat at Michelin 3-stars on a regular basis...). For service, it’d be helpful if they (1) looked into a better reservation mgmt system and (2) made sure they were staffed appropriately for a Friday night
Fig and Olive do not honor reservations. They kept us waiting for 45 minutes even though we had a reservation. They didn’t even apologize for it. Don’t bother with them.
This place has the best food but no matter how many times i come in here - whether lunch or dinner - the service is terrible !
Nice menu, but pricey. Food took a very long time to come out. Server was apologetic and said “buying round of drinks.” Turned out only half a round (2 or 4). Managment could have been better.
The prices are extraordinary for tapas small plate dining and only average in taste and quality. Plan on $250 per couple for an average meal in an albeit beautiful restaurant.
Good restaurant, good service, nice atmosphere. We, party of six, took the special mothers day with 5 option of apetizers, five of entrees an two deserts to choose. Everyone was happy.
The only comment is Fig & Olive is not a italian restaurant as listed in open table but a mediterranean one with some italian
All that a MAMA could ask for on Mother's Day!!
The food was fabulous! Our server was genuine and friendly. He was busy as first but always communicated with us-
He brought me a small dish of olives when I told him that I ate the olives from my son's martini.
My husband ate the sea bass- it was very good - however the portion was very small.
Perhaps it was that small because he ordered from the Prix Fixe menu-
The chocolate dessert he ordered was out -of-this world delicious.
I recommend this restaurant!
The service was very inconsistent even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Our eggs were over cooked but they gave us a complimentary dessert to make up for it. The food wasn’t seasoned well (poached eggs were too lemony) and truffle fries were swimming in grease but tasted good. It was a mediocre experience, with poor service although the servers were nice. Meh.
I wish the service had been better, since the food and atmosphere were delicious. Our party was seated 20 minutes late and then waited 20 minutes to see a server. By the time we left, we did so because we weren't having fun, not because we were rushing to go somewhere else.
Employees ... Fantastic
Food .... Fantastic
Customer Service ....Fantastic
Menu ... Fantastic
Staff needs more or better training.
We were celebrating a birthday. The waitstaff was very accommodating and made the birthday girl feel special. The food was delicious. The food is pricey but it is NYC. I would definitely return.
An enjoyable restaurant with a pleasant, roomy atmosphere. The food is always spot on an I especially enjoy the Sunday Jazz brunch.
Great food. Great service. They do a great job of making everything special
our meal was good but not great. the short ribs were a bit salty and fattier than most.
We requested bread twice and at the end of the meal were told there was not bread yet. Medium steak was pretty rare and expensive mashed potatoes were lukewarm.
Dinner is always great!!! Had the lamb dish, it was delicious and cooked just right! The crostinis are always great as appetizers. We tried all of them and all were delicious. The restaurant never disappoints!!
Fig & Olive never disappoints!! Great place with a fun vibe!
Our food, per usual, was delicious. They never disappoint in the preparation, presentation and taste of their food, however the service we received this time was subpar. Our waiter was aloof the entire time and seemed as though he couldn’t be bothered by us. We waited 10 minutes for him to take our drink order and another 10 minutes to actually receive the drink. Like I said, the food was delicious as always and we will be returning because of that, but the service this time around was very disappointing.
Our pick for the restaurant to meet up with out-of-town guests. Perfect!
It was amazing from the hostess welcoming us, to the lovely waitress, who knew I wanted the candle in the desert, till the time we left.
The food was presented in a timely way and it looked as yummy as it tasted .
It’s a beautiful restaurant with a great vibe!
Service was terrible. Took a long time for server to come over then to be greeted with an attitude that we were bothering her by asking about the wine list and proceeded to bring me the wrong cocktail. Table next to us was complaining as well.
Enjoyed the Prix Fixe lunch. The choices were varied and delicious. A quiet atmosphere which allowed conversations to be heard. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu. All in all everything was spot on!
Nice place, nice ambiance, nice food ! Service not to good.
We love coming to Fig and Olive. Everything is prepared perfectly and the food is delicious.
One of the best restaurants in NYC.
Fig & Olive has become our 'go-to' restaurant when we first arrive in NYC. We visit our daughter annually and F&O is absolutely wonderful - excellent and creative food (especially appetizers) and great drinks/wine. We ate at the Meatpacking location this time because the Fifth Avenue location is hard to get into. We are passing them along to all our friends who visit NYC.
Been here plenty of times and the experience has always been outstanding. This time not so good. I made reservations but arrived 20 mins early because we drive from NJ and the traffic was lighter than usual. I was told we could not be seated until our reservation time. I thought, hhhhmmm but I see lots of tables for two empty and stayed empty up to and after we were seated. Maybe someone in the restaurant business can explain why. Seems kind of ridiculous to me.
Our waiter sucked but I’ve been here enough times to know it’s not always bad service
Nice ambient, a little loud with normal food.
Great brunch in a great area! Will go back
The waitress was incredible when she was there but often disappeared for long periods of time.
We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated for no reason.
Food was incredible and so was vibe. Restaurant was great.
I did not line my salmon entree or Brussel sprouts. The service is very good, though.
went for dinner. very noisy. food was adequate but nothing fancy
Our favorite place for dinner with family or friends or just two. The staff from host especially Anzoo whose name I am surely misspelling and I hope he doesn’t hate me for that and hostess to the wait staff are wonderful and the food is yummy
The food here was amazing and the service was spot on! I would drive back to NYC just to go to this restaurant again!
