The food was fantastic! The service was slow and uncoordinated. We would return. They need to up their service expectations.
Lovely delicious! One of our go to favorite spots!!
So many better restaurants in NYC we just found this adequate.
Even better dining experience than we remembered from ten years ago - an absolute favorite for us in Manhattan!
We were celebrating an event - 3 women - and our waiter was so patient and gracious. Thank you for letting us linger for nearly 4 hours! Everything was perfect. Good. Service. Everything. Thank you!!
It was a special reunion and I had guest coming in from out of town and they were really impressed. Just what I wanted. Food was great and service was excellent and left us alone while we were talking and took our orders when we were ready. We had a great time.
I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable experience!
Great food and extra friendly service.
Would definitely good back again. Wonderful and creative small plates, and excellent service.
Great food and good wine selection. Recommended for an informal business lunch or a catch up with friends at lunch time.
Great food and amazing service as always!
Have been to this location many times pre Covid and was always satisfied with food and service. Post Covid terrible service and aloof front of the house. Attempted to flag down waiter several times who didn’t even respond. Had to flag down front of the house several times to just get our order taken. Server never came to check on table at all. Upstairs wasn’t open either. Terrible terrible terrible service all around. Was not even offered an apology for the terrible and aloof service. Rather front of the house blamed Covid. Run your operations better and train your servers better. Will not return to this location.
We enjoyed a nice lunch with friends while visiting NYC. We had the crostini (choice of three from a diverse offering) and shared the tuna tartare as appetizers. As main courses, we shared a whole branzino "a la plancha" (delicious!) and the Nicoise salad. Nougat glacé as dessert (nice surprise). Good wine list.
Fig and Olive continues to provide a great mix of flavors for every meal! We stopped in for a quick lunch and were treated to a great meal. Combine this with the excellent service and attention and it makes for an excellent culinary experience every time.
Great food and extra friendly service.
Great for lunch quick access in the heart of midtown really good food and service
Loved the food…horrible service. Took over 30 minutes after being seated to have anyone come to our table. Forgot one of our side dishes…but brought it after we were finished eating our entree. I know places are short staffed…but the manager was walking around aimlessly without ever jumping in and helping staff assist customers.
Service good. Food good but overpriced. Not anything special here.
Great location for a business lunch.
We had a few "bumps" and the staff - especially the runner - did a great job of fixing everything.
The food and service was great but the noise level overwhelming
Great food and extra friendly service.
It was relatively empty due to COVID19 so service was quick and attentive.
Got in just before covid closures and felt bad that restaurant was so empty
What a wonderful way to end the day. Wine and apps were perfect and delish but the Chocolate Obsession took the cake (literally).
Manager of restaurant refused to put paper towels in bathroom in the middle of a disease outbreak, suggests we use the air dryer. Disgusting.
Excellent food choices great ambiance and perfect service to celebrate our golden anniversary!
The noise level in Fig and Olive was deafening! We were seated downstairs in the back of the restaurant and you couldn’t even have a conversation without yelling. I hope they supply their waitstaff with ear plugs because if you had to work in these conditions very long, your hearing would be impaired. That said, the food was good. My husband and I shared several small plates and they were all very tasty. Service was good, although it was difficult hearing what our server had to say. Maybe if we would have been able to eat upstairs, it would have been better but there was a large party up there.
Pre-theater dinner, and we experienced an aggressive up selling waiter. But the food was good and the vibe was lively.
I need to say this.
The waitress was very kind and good.
The women who was supposed to seat me upstairs was rude and actually horrific!!
I am a restaurant person , who is on private lists for reservation!
I have never been treated this way , ever.
I asked to please to be seated in the front area.
You had many many tables open.
I also had a reservation!
She told me NO , you can go downstairs and speak to the
My answer was I am not walking all the way down stairs to ask for a table.
She did not care. How do you have people like this working in a upscale restaurant!
I walked downstairs and the women said of course you can sit up front. She then walked me upstairs and seated us.
I eat in your restaurant frequently!!
A bit appalling.
I felt you should hear this from the customer.
She should not be working there.
Really great. I didn’t like our seat. Servers had to reach over to get wine bottles. Happened twice so not terrible. Just don’t sit in front of that wall. Food was really great and so was the Mediterranean mule
Absolutely loved this place! It's not often that I add NYC places to my list to return to - with so many options - but this one is on it. Excellent brunch and I want to come back for dinner asap. So good!
It was our last meal in NYC before the shut down. We stayed at the Omni across the street and always have one meal here. Always good and always fun. This was no exception. Look forward to returning from our home in Virginia. We are native New Yorkers and never away this long. Hope all who dined there that night are safe and well.
Wonderful as always!
We have been frequent patrons. Food not up to past standards. Food was disappointing.
While Fig and Olive is a chain in a couple major cities, the food is creative and authentick. This location is nice, with a comfortable environment and attentive service.
Waitstaff was exceptional. It was a Sunday evening so it was relatively quiet. Food was very good. Portion was fine.
Great service. Food is a bit overpriced.
This is my favorite NYC eatery and it never disappoints!! Beautiful restaurant, nice people and great food and service!!
We were skeptical at first because the reviews were some good and some bad, but wow our expectations were surely surpassed! The food was soooo good. The service was great. The ambiance was fun, lively, slightly trendy feeling. I felt almost like I was back in Italy, it was great.
