Restaurant was very crowded and we were accommodated right away. Since we were just having dessert we elected to let others have table. Great service and attention

The food at Fig and Olive is very good and the service was great. Its noisy and the tables are super close so you need to be up for a "packed" sort of environment. Its great for an after work get together or a quick bite after shopping or before theater.

Fig and Olive is very nice choice for Dinner. A reservation is highly recommended for a table. There is Bar seating for Dinner on a first come basis. The food is very good, the service is excellent. This is a busy restaurant, the noise level from conversation can be high especially upstairs, but it should not be too bothersome to have a wonderful dinner and certainly is part of the energy. It has a nice wine list. The menu is varied for anyone's taste and there was a Prix Fixe menu. Dessert was excellent.

I would give Fig & Olive on 5th Ave 10 stars if I could. That is how much I loved everything about it. Just incredible!!! The food was phenomenal!!! It's the first place that I have ever been to where the entire menu had exactly my kind of cuisine. Fresh ingredients cooked with olive oil. The carrot & Ginger soup was fantastic!!! Zucchini Carpaccio was out of this world!!! The sautéed spinach with dry figs was perfect!! The paella del Mar was absolutely amazing!!! There is a very nice wine list. The desserts are something to see as well. Wonderful dessert menu. The service was great. Our waiter was professional and informative about the menu items when answering our questions. Loved the atmosphere at Fig & Olive. This is by far absolutely my new favorite "Go to" place when in the city. I am telling everyone to go and experience Fig & Olive. Can't wait to go back!!

Great place for lunch . . . great food! My only complaint is that the staff tries to rush you through in an effort to turn the table around quickly. It's hard to relax when someone is constantly at your table asking for your order or taking dishes away the SECOND you finish!

Ate at the east midtown location at lunchtime, so the place was packed and very noisy. We were seated upstairs, which was unbearably hot and crowded.

Food and service were very good overall, though we were at first served someone else's lunch. Things were a little out of control. They did offer a few gluten-free options, for which I was grateful.

However, not the place to have a conversation of any type...just eat and run. Way too loud.

Good food and good service, but loud, noisy dining room. No coat check means cramped tables and chairs during the winter season.

Fig & Olive in LA is seasonal, fresh ingredient driven and vibrantly flavored. Unfortunately, their midtown NYC outpost is a tourist trap where seemingly sophisticated ambiance is meant ti compensate for criminally over-dressed salads, sodden condiments and olive oil that tasted almost of lead. With tables too close together, conversation is tricky over the din... and most disappointing of all, my reservation noted that the meal was a business meeting, yet they felt fine putting myself and a writer for NEWSDAY at a tiny table in the middle of a very active traffic flow.

When you're serving the tourist trade, repeat business is not important. So perhaps that explains service that was attentive, then not around. Rushed, but not always there when needed. Perhaps more a function of being packed, because the waiter could not have been nicer.

Pricey for what it is, there are better options.

Great meal again. The manager ensured a quiet corner table, even with a company holiday party in the dining room. MIchael was our server and he made great recommendations and paced the meal well. The restaurant obviously looks at and pays attention to special notes in OpenTable as they brought my wife a tasty dessert with a birthday candle at the end of the meal. It's a very nice restaurant for any occasion as well as special occasions. We'll be back.

To be honest, we were disappointed with this dining experience. We had dined at the Fig and Olive on Lexington during our last visit to NYC two years ago and had been very impressed with the service and the food. The server was quite attentive and helpful, and really made us feel special. This was not the case at this location, where we felt rather overlooked amid the hustle and bustle. On both occasions we were celebrating my birthday. The first time they acknowledged the special occasion with a free dessert. This time around however there was no acknowledgement even though the reservation booking service asked if a special occasion was being celebrated and I indicated it was a birthday celebration. Why bother asking one to indicate a special occasion if the restaurant isn’t going to acknowledge it in any way? The food was good but not outstanding. I would still recommend it for a casual meal but not for a special occasion.

We choose the menu set by the restaurant. Starters and main course very good. The dessert, especially the one that has fruit, leaves to be desired and should be improved (in our opinion!).
The price is fine.

A real gem. It's fun to eat good food that is both delicious and unique. Yes, they put either figs and olives or both in most dishes.

Not the experience we hoped for after reading the hype. Booked for a 60th birthday celebration which wasn't even acknowledged. Waiter was impatient and rude and food barely warm. A prawn on the crostini smelt off and the waiter just shrugged it off with no offer of another dish .

Absolutely outstanding, we enjoyed every bite. And unlike us we drank an entire bottle of wine without being rushed by the staff. The service was wonderful, our waitress very knowledgeable and the food was awesome. We've added Fig & Olive to our favorites list!

The DC location is preferred for atmosphere but menu, food, execution is wonderful here as well. We were seated upstairs so the decor not as nice. Noise level very high and tables crowded particularly rough with winter coats, holiday bags etc. the food and service made it still a very good meal.

This restaurant never fails. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Three of us availed of the lunch prix fixe. Good value and very generous. The ala carte chicken salad was a lot and could be shared.
Service was excellent inspite of the crowd. A bit noisy but it was very busy that day.
