Good food and good service, but loud, noisy dining room. No coat check means cramped tables and chairs during the winter season.

Noisy, busy, happening place with good food and professional service. Not for romance or nuanced conversation.

We really enjoyed our wonderful lunch which was healthy, cooked to perfection, and delicious! I always feel welcome. My favorite lunch spot in midtown!

Fig & Olive in LA is seasonal, fresh ingredient driven and vibrantly flavored. Unfortunately, their midtown NYC outpost is a tourist trap where seemingly sophisticated ambiance is meant ti compensate for criminally over-dressed salads, sodden condiments and olive oil that tasted almost of lead. With tables too close together, conversation is tricky over the din... and most disappointing of all, my reservation noted that the meal was a business meeting, yet they felt fine putting myself and a writer for NEWSDAY at a tiny table in the middle of a very active traffic flow.

When you're serving the tourist trade, repeat business is not important. So perhaps that explains service that was attentive, then not around. Rushed, but not always there when needed. Perhaps more a function of being packed, because the waiter could not have been nicer.

Pricey for what it is, there are better options.

Great meal again. The manager ensured a quiet corner table, even with a company holiday party in the dining room. MIchael was our server and he made great recommendations and paced the meal well. The restaurant obviously looks at and pays attention to special notes in OpenTable as they brought my wife a tasty dessert with a birthday candle at the end of the meal. It's a very nice restaurant for any occasion as well as special occasions. We'll be back.

To be honest, we were disappointed with this dining experience. We had dined at the Fig and Olive on Lexington during our last visit to NYC two years ago and had been very impressed with the service and the food. The server was quite attentive and helpful, and really made us feel special. This was not the case at this location, where we felt rather overlooked amid the hustle and bustle. On both occasions we were celebrating my birthday. The first time they acknowledged the special occasion with a free dessert. This time around however there was no acknowledgement even though the reservation booking service asked if a special occasion was being celebrated and I indicated it was a birthday celebration. Why bother asking one to indicate a special occasion if the restaurant isn’t going to acknowledge it in any way? The food was good but not outstanding. I would still recommend it for a casual meal but not for a special occasion.

We choose the menu set by the restaurant. Starters and main course very good. The dessert, especially the one that has fruit, leaves to be desired and should be improved (in our opinion!).
The price is fine.

We had a wonderful lunch today for our anniversary while in the City. We arrived earlier than our reservation and were happily accommodated. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Loved our crostini choices and our pasta and chicken club dishes!

A real gem. It's fun to eat good food that is both delicious and unique. Yes, they put either figs and olives or both in most dishes.

Not the experience we hoped for after reading the hype. Booked for a 60th birthday celebration which wasn't even acknowledged. Waiter was impatient and rude and food barely warm. A prawn on the crostini smelt off and the waiter just shrugged it off with no offer of another dish .

The restaurant is in a convenient location to 5th Avenue, the staff was very friendly and informative, and the food was excellent. If you want a quiet spot, this is not it, but otherwise this is a great spot. We will definitely return to eat here.

The DC location is preferred for atmosphere but menu, food, execution is wonderful here as well. We were seated upstairs so the decor not as nice. Noise level very high and tables crowded particularly rough with winter coats, holiday bags etc. the food and service made it still a very good meal.

This restaurant never fails. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Three of us availed of the lunch prix fixe. Good value and very generous. The ala carte chicken salad was a lot and could be shared.
Service was excellent inspite of the crowd. A bit noisy but it was very busy that day.

Host was rude; bar was packed; restaurant was packed and super loud. You couldn't hear the people around you. The servers struggled due to no space. They also took a plate my friend was eating off of... that still had food.

The waiting area was so overcrowded that I couldn't even get to the desk to cancel my reservation. We just walked out. There should be some better means of crowd control - maybe only let in people whose names are on the reservation list?

Crowded place, thanks to Open Table we could book for the same day (within 1hr).
Nice ambience, a little bit noisy yet effervescent!
Service is pretty good considering the crowd.

Have had many meals at Fig and Olive over the years. Actually out first date was at this location. Food is great and Service is good. I booked to celebrate our anniversary and added comments in my reservation. Was very disappointed that no acknowledgement was made of our celebration weather verbal or when we ordered dessert. I disrecretely alerted the hostess on the way out as this was a surprise for my partner, he response was oh I am sorry brunch is very busy today.

I Loved the small toasts! They were really nice to us. They gave us 3 free toasts out of nowhere and the host greeted me and my grandpa with a conversation in Italian. They could of come to our table more often but other than that it’s the best place ever. (written by my granddaughter, Azalea)

Came for a girls' night after seeing the tree and Christmas windows. Such a cute table, with beautiful holiday decorations. The food is excellent and the drinks are delicious. I recommend the burrata and beat appetizer and the Mediterranean Mule to drink.

The food was great, but the service was amazing. We were 30 minutes late to the reservation due to traffic and a mix up of the reservation times. We lost the reservation, but the maitre d' worked hard to ensure that we were seated quickly. Even though it was the holiday season and on a Saturday night, we were seated in 20 minutes. Since we were late, we only had 45 mins to eat and get out in order to make our show at Radio City. We notified the waiter and he made sure that our food came out quickly and the check was ready to go. Happy to say we made it to the show on time with 10 mins to spare. All the staff are top-notch and really appreciated their service.
