Food was over -cocked and lacked attention to detail disappointing
Very good food and service. They were very crowded so reservations are recommended. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice place in midtown.
Very good good; quiet enough upstairs; love their signature crostinis!
Great place & vibe. Good food & a great wine list. The crostini’s were outstanding.
The food is terrific. My only complaint would be that the entry way is extremely crowded during check-in.
A bit noise
This was my second visit to Fig & Olive. I don't live in NYC and was looking forward to coming here again. I really liked it the first time which was two years ago. This time not so much. The branzino was small and overdone, the shrimp salad had way more greens than anything else. Disappointed. So many good restaurants in NYC, won't spend my $$$ here again.
This is a consistently good restaurant. Our waiter was outstanding and offered many options for plant based items for the vegan at the table. However we also had a young man who just wanted a hamburger and fries. He came away happy with having had their hamburger. The portions are well sized, salads were filling with protein options. It is a loud and lively crowd so if you want a quiet conversation go very early or very late. Only recommendation would be to put W/C on bathroom door.
Birthday dinner for a friend and every dish was DELICIOUS. I literally want to order everything on the menu. Thank you for the amazing food and service, Fig and Olive!!
It was a good dining experience. Our server was exceptional. The only complaint is our table was right next to the area where the wait staff work and drop off plates. The tray and stand was directly behind my seat. We had to move our table away from it.
Went for mother's day brunch. There were some nice touches (giving mom's roses), accommodating a request for hard boiled eggs when its not a menu item. But generally the food was lackluster and food was very slow. We sat for nearly 45 minutes before our appetizer crostini came out- which also seemed to have been sitting for a while. Toast was not warm and a little soggy. Toppings were fairly bland. My $22 salad also was composed of some pretty wilted greens (though it did have a generous amount of cheese). Everything comes with figs- like, everything- my salad, my dad's lamburger, mom's side of spinach. I'm a fan of figs and don't mind terribly, but it seemed a bit contrived. I wouldn't return or recommend.
From the olive oil tastings to the dessert sampler, as well as a wide variety of menu items, we had an unforgettable dinner in midtown. We had to extend our reservation 3 times because of travel delays but the staff was accommodating and we were seated almost immediately on a busy mother’s day eve.
Will surely look forward to eating there again in the near future.
The food was okay but was way overpriced. I know it’s in midtown Manhattan but for the cost I expected the food to be outstanding.
the food was good, but our waiter was rude and upset that we didn’t order immediately, even though the restaurant was empty at dinner time on a friday night.
Quick service, great menu and food. A little loud but not too bad.
Was there for dinner during the week and sat upstairs next to several 5 and 6 person tables so the noise level was energetic. Excellent attentive service as well as good food (baby lamb chops for one and fish for another prepared exactly as ordered). Only complaint was an extremely stingy wine pour. Had to ask for additional wine to compensate the $20 per glass of wine charge. The manager complied. Good for lunch and/or dinner. Be aware that there is no elevator to the second floor so the climb might be limiting to some patrons.
Delicious, consistent, accommodating and valued experiences! Totally will return next NYC adventure:)
Great food. Fairly priced. Enjoyable very consistent as well
We arrived early and full menu would take more than 30 min to be delivered. We had to go with the appetizers, which were delicious.
One of my favourite spots in NYC. The food is always very good and the staff are friendly and professional, a great atmosphere makes it ideal for personal or business meals.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Good for a business dinner or drinks with friends.
My salad had way too much dressing.
The figs were dry and old.
My coffee was cold.
The waiter could care less.
Very disappointing experience.
Was there a few months ago and it was wonderful.
As always awesome. Deserts were out of this world
Wonderful meal after an afternoon Broadway show with my parents. The food was fantastic and the restaurant was beautiful. Try the crostini!
Nice place. Happy to have a window seat. Food was good. Price was typical NYC prices.
I should clarify that my guest and I would not recommend Fig & Olive for brunch, but we have been there several times for dinner and became devotees. That’s why we were so surprised when the brunch experience was so drastically different...and bad. Service was pleasant but neglectful. If we wanted anything, we had to flag him down. More importantly, I have an onion allergy that was attended to in the first course, but not at all in the second. The grilled onions were hidden underneath the lettuce and eggs so I noticed them only after taking a couple of good-size bites. Of course, the waiter was most apologetic and brought me a new plate. Fine, but the salad was without dressing and the hollandaise was on the eggs when I had asked for it on the side. In short, my order got screwed up twice. Again, we had to wave our arms to find him and to get the check. Then we had to track him down to pay him. Now, dinner has been a 180 degree experience! Great service. Great food. Downstairs is more vibrant than upstairs where we were for brunch, so ask to be seated there. Very disappointing.
Amazing and sophisticated place to bring a close friend or family.
My husband and I went to Fig and Olive in West Hollywood and loved it! so I was so exicited to be in NYC and try this location which was just as excellent as the one in LA. Service, ambiance, drinks and food were exceptional. One of my fav restaurants!
The food was good, the service was not.
Our server was impatient and had a habit of rushing off before we finished speaking.
I ordered wine with my appetizer and another wine with my entree but the meal was rushed and the entree arrived half way through our appetizer so I canceled the second glass of wine.
We chose to go elsewhere for dessert.
Cheerful clean atmosphere. Excellent service and choices of food for all types of eaters. An easy, great restaurant on all levels.
The food and service was amazing!
Best experience!! Atmosphere, waiter, food, etc. highly recommend!
Wonderful spot for a business lunch. I went here with two of my colleagues and the atmosphere was perfect and the food was very fresh and delicious.
Food and vibe were excellent but service was disappointing. Took long time to get waiter’s attention for ordering our for. And waiter charged my friend’s credit card was charged double.
A convenient midtown location for a relaxed business lunch.
Everything was good. Just very pricey.
Tra quelli che abbiamo provato a parità di categoria è senza dubbio il miglior posto di NY. Staff gentilissimo e cibo buono e ben presentato. Da provare i crostini e il salmone.
I could not have been more pleased with my experience. The octopus carpaccio was life changing, the drinks were phenomenal and the service was top notch. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the city to try the rest of the crostini & more of the fabulous dessert menu.
Excellent food, great service! Love this restaurant, will be back!
