The food is delicious. Everything we’ve had tasted great. Yes, the crostini was very good and so was the mushroom croquet and the French omelette. I highly recommend the pot au creme. Our waiters Brandon and Uriel made sure that we had a great time.
Out to brunch for my son’s birthday. Overall we had a very good meal. The place was packed, so reserve early. The only small detractor from a perfect meal was that the friend toast was just fired bread. The fruit topping it was perfect, though. Highly recommend a visit
Always fabulous food, friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere!!
Just perfect! Great vegetarian options. I’ll be dreaming about the goat cheese crustini for years to come.
Great find! Will be back!
My go to spot for great and reasonable food in midtown! The crostini’s and salads are delicious!
We love this place and it never disappoints
I have eaten in this restaurant several times, and I was always happy with the service and specially with the food.
This time I was disappointed, first I had to ask for the bread with the special tasting oils which is a signature if the restaurant.
I ordered the chicken paillard salad, the chicken was dry and tasteless it was like they took it from the freezer and cooked.
My friend salad was ok nothing special.
I didn’t want to complain in front of my friend who invited me, but I feel that is important to let the restaurant know that they should maintain their good standard.
Waiter recommended a great mushroom appetizer. I had the mushroom rigatoni and my guest had a lamburger. Both were great. I would come back and try the paella and some of the other apps.
Great restaurant....just very loud. But love their food. :-)
Ok but noisy
Nice food at a good value, but ambience is cold, noisy, and cramped (even for NY standard)
Used to really like this place. Since they expanded their number of locations, quality of food has gone down. A shame.
Ignacio was exceptional. Excellent recommendations. Amazing food! We look forward to dining again.
Excellent as always!
Went for my birthday brunch with my family on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is very food. The crowd was lively but not distracting or too loud. I would definitely come back.
Went for brunch. Space is very crisp and clean, almost to the place of stale.
Food - choices, presentation and taste - was excellent.
Service was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Will definitely go again.
We very much enjoyed eating at The Fig and Olive. The food was delicious and they did not rush us. We enjoyed the ambiance of the upstairs dining room. The Fig and Olive salad was different and quite good. We look forward to returning.
I have been to this restaurant before and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is comfortable yet upscale. The menu offers an interesting variety of tasty and healthy appetizers and entrées but someone with a large appetite may be disappointed in the size of the portions. Overall, we experienced a very nice meal. The service was attentive and at no point did we feel rushed. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Place seems to be getting a little tired. Service communicated that we somehow inconvenienced them when asking for small things like pepper, butter, etc. eh
The food was delicious and service was good as well.
Worst experience ever. It was my first time in Fig&Olive. Sticky wine glass and poor service. One of the server didn’t even ask who order what just place on table. My chicken was not cooked well so they took over 20mins cook it again. No spoons for risotto and dessert. I had ask them for few time. Very disappointed. Not planning to visit them again.
Dinner before theatre so ate early. Seated was cozy although comfortable. Food was very good, main less interesting than appetizers. Definitely one I would be confident to recommend.
The food was good, but the soup came out cold, my steak was a bit more undercooked than how I had asked it to be, and the service was a bit slow. We asked for pepper for our soup, assuming the waiter would come by with a pepper grinder to sprinkle pepper over our soups for both of us — instead he just stuck the giant pepper grinder on our table and walked away. Sometimes it’s the small things that can set everything off. Overall we enjoyed it and would try it again.
Had lunch and it was all perfect
Could eat the roasted cauliflower every day
Food & service were very good. Enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Hard to have conversation because of the noise level.
We had such a delicious meal with great service! Just wonderful!
Ask for a table upstairs. Downstairs near the kitchens smelt of bleach. A fabulous place to eat and the cocktails are amazing. Definitely recommend.
Good, healthy cuisine. Good social atmosphere, great for a date or meeting friends for a casual dinner. Would definitely come back!
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
We will definitely come back.
Food was superb !
Fabulous food and great service! Highly recommended for a fun lunch in mid-town.
Great food and service, but so loud that difficult to have a conversation
This is my third or fourth visit to this location. While the food is good, it is a bit like a factory at lunch-which has its positive and negative impact. I had a very disappointing experience, however, in that I left a small shopping bag (totally my fault,I get that...) and when I called several hours later I was assured that a manager would call me back within 15 minutes. I received no call and when I called back the next morning I was advised no one had seen the bag. My issue is with follow up. If a restaurant advises you that they will check and call-I have an expectation that will actually happen.
It was poor.
This was my first dining experience at Fig & Olive, and I CANNOT WAIT to come back. The food was absolutely top notch, the vibe in the restaurant was excellent, and the service exceeded expectations. I came during restaurant week, and I am eagerly looking forward to coming back soon and exploring the whole menu. Five stars for this establishment!
Two friends and I went for Restaurant Week, and it was such a great experience! The food was so good, and service was great. It was a great spot to go with friends because we could talk and not have to scream over other patrons or loud music. The lighting is a bit dark, so my pictures weren't the best, but the overall experience was lovely - especially the rosemary plants! The rosemary plants make the restaurant smell divine.
First time at Fig & Olive. It was delicious. Service was excellent. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. I will go back for sure.
It was restaurant week so we gave this place a try for lunch. My friend liked her vegetarian dishes but I did not. I opted for the potato and leek soup thinking that was a safe bet. There were a few-maybe 5 small diced pieces of potato and the most unappetizing muddy brown “soup”. I really tried to like this and tried about 7 bites and gave up. It was the oddest tasting soup I’ve ever eaten. The first bite tasted like mud and then after that it had the oddest spice taste that I could not wrap my brain around. I then got the salad which was fine-mixed greens nothing special. I added $9 for the grilled chicken that was so over done and dry. So my $26 special lunch ended up being $35 plus tax and tip for basically a bowl of lettuce and a fig. The tables were ao close together you felt like you were sitting with the person at the next table. Don’t go here for private conversation. Service was good no complaints and they were attentive. I would not return.
The food was excellent and unique. The atmosphere was nice. We were there for brunch during NYC Restaurant Week and mostly ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. The waiter may have been new but he got part of our order wrong and then others brought the wrong dishes to our table as if they were given the wrong table to bring out the dishes and drinks. When we got the bill, it was confusing and was $8 over what it should have been. To the waiter's credit, he tried to explain the bill but then took the $8 off of the final bill.
