Waiters couldn't seem to be bothered. Seated us but didn't bother giving menus till we asked. Noone came to take our order after ten minutes, despite the restaurant not being that busy and several waiters ignored our waving. We also didn't feel the menu was very Mediterranean. So we just got up and left.
Nice place, delicious food
Great food, super fresh!!!
We were really excited to experience Fig & Olive for the first time. Food was good but service was literally terrible. We had no idea who our server was and had to flag someone down every time we tried to order. We travel a lot for work and eat out and are not picky. Not one to make a comment on these things but TERRIBLE not going back.
Fig and Olive is a wonderful restaurant - and perfect for our evening get together - the ambience is wonderful and the service was excellent, though it took a LONG time to receive our actual dinner after appetizers. I thought the menu was somewhat limited and the main course - I had Lemon chicken was just ok.
I remembered liking this place more a few years ago...
Loved the food. Service was just average
The food is delicious. Everything we’ve had tasted great. Yes, the crostini was very good and so was the mushroom croquet and the French omelette. I highly recommend the pot au creme. Our waiters Brandon and Uriel made sure that we had a great time.
I couldn't say for sure if I would recommend Fig & Olive to a friend. The drink menu is pretty awesome and the food menu is extensive. However, it is pretty expensive (for brunch, anyway) and there was a very limited number of vegetarian options.
Out to brunch for my son’s birthday. Overall we had a very good meal. The place was packed, so reserve early. The only small detractor from a perfect meal was that the friend toast was just fired bread. The fruit topping it was perfect, though. Highly recommend a visit
Food was good. Service could have been better. We were there for brunch and arrived at 11am, when they first opened. When a server finally came, we ordered 3 cocktails. We waited and waited, finally ordering our food. The first course came out and still no drinks. Finally they came. Drinks SHOULD have been delivered before any food. Four of the five in our party were served their main course while the fifth waited an additional 5 minutes. No big deal but three people in our party ordered an entree with poached eggs and the eggs were basically hard boiled and had to be sent back. Finally, after we finished, and the food was delicious, we ordered coffee. We waited and waited and were finally told that coffee would be a bit longer because they ran out of cups and had to wash some. We cancelled the coffee and got our check.
Love this place
Menu is amazing , drinks are mixed perfectly
And our server Ignazio made the whole experience just perfect.
Not my first time there, not my last time
And try the mushroom croquets —- BANGIN!!!
Food was extremely underwhelming given reviews and our own experience at the upper east side location.. much tastier.. the $38 lobster ravioli tasted no better than a random Olive Garden dish.. service generally inattentive.. also kept pushing us to buy alcohol. We constantly explained we weren’t interested
Always fabulous food, friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere!!
Just perfect! Great vegetarian options. I’ll be dreaming about the goat cheese crustini for years to come.
Great find! Will be back!
My go to spot for great and reasonable food in midtown! The crostini’s and salads are delicious!
We love this place and it never disappoints
I have eaten in this restaurant several times, and I was always happy with the service and specially with the food.
This time I was disappointed, first I had to ask for the bread with the special tasting oils which is a signature if the restaurant.
I ordered the chicken paillard salad, the chicken was dry and tasteless it was like they took it from the freezer and cooked.
My friend salad was ok nothing special.
I didn’t want to complain in front of my friend who invited me, but I feel that is important to let the restaurant know that they should maintain their good standard.
Waiter recommended a great mushroom appetizer. I had the mushroom rigatoni and my guest had a lamburger. Both were great. I would come back and try the paella and some of the other apps.
Great restaurant....just very loud. But love their food. :-)
Ok but noisy
Nice food at a good value, but ambience is cold, noisy, and cramped (even for NY standard)
Used to really like this place. Since they expanded their number of locations, quality of food has gone down. A shame.
Ignacio was exceptional. Excellent recommendations. Amazing food! We look forward to dining again.
Excellent as always!
Went for my birthday brunch with my family on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is very food. The crowd was lively but not distracting or too loud. I would definitely come back.
Went for brunch. Space is very crisp and clean, almost to the place of stale.
Food - choices, presentation and taste - was excellent.
Service was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Will definitely go again.
We very much enjoyed eating at The Fig and Olive. The food was delicious and they did not rush us. We enjoyed the ambiance of the upstairs dining room. The Fig and Olive salad was different and quite good. We look forward to returning.
I have been to this restaurant before and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is comfortable yet upscale. The menu offers an interesting variety of tasty and healthy appetizers and entrées but someone with a large appetite may be disappointed in the size of the portions. Overall, we experienced a very nice meal. The service was attentive and at no point did we feel rushed. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Place seems to be getting a little tired. Service communicated that we somehow inconvenienced them when asking for small things like pepper, butter, etc. eh
The food was delicious and service was good as well.
Worst experience ever. It was my first time in Fig&Olive. Sticky wine glass and poor service. One of the server didn’t even ask who order what just place on table. My chicken was not cooked well so they took over 20mins cook it again. No spoons for risotto and dessert. I had ask them for few time. Very disappointed. Not planning to visit them again.
Dinner before theatre so ate early. Seated was cozy although comfortable. Food was very good, main less interesting than appetizers. Definitely one I would be confident to recommend.
The food was good, but the soup came out cold, my steak was a bit more undercooked than how I had asked it to be, and the service was a bit slow. We asked for pepper for our soup, assuming the waiter would come by with a pepper grinder to sprinkle pepper over our soups for both of us — instead he just stuck the giant pepper grinder on our table and walked away. Sometimes it’s the small things that can set everything off. Overall we enjoyed it and would try it again.
Had lunch and it was all perfect
Could eat the roasted cauliflower every day
Food & service were very good. Enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Hard to have conversation because of the noise level.
We had such a delicious meal with great service! Just wonderful!
Ask for a table upstairs. Downstairs near the kitchens smelt of bleach. A fabulous place to eat and the cocktails are amazing. Definitely recommend.
Good, healthy cuisine. Good social atmosphere, great for a date or meeting friends for a casual dinner. Would definitely come back!
