Sunday brunch included live Jazz music and typically excellent food and cocktail choices. Wines by the glass are over-priced, but everything else was great!
This is my second time at Fig and Olive. Unfortunately, the service was as terrible this time as it was my first. We were constantly having to flag down our server. One of our orders was wrong and the item missing wasn’t brought out until the entree was completely finished. This place is beautiful and has so much potential but I don’t think I will be back.
Ambiance and food were great, some portions could have been a bit bigger for the price but overall quality of food was great. Great place for a special date night
Celebrated a friend's birthday at Fig & Olive. We had an excellent server who provided great recommendations. We enjoyed our cocktails and several courses of food. Since it was her birthday, she was able to choose a dessert that they provided complimentary. Overall, we were very pleased with the meal. It didn't come cheap. I expected it to be pricey and it was. I think it might have been a little over-priced for a few things. It was a special occasion and I'm glad we dined there. I would return for another special occasion.
It was a very nice evening. The wine steward did a great job helping us with our selection.
Came here for Sunday brunch. Elegant interior, very nice dishes, attentive, courteous service. Nice experience
Fig & Olive was fantastic! Our waitress did a great job decanting the rich Cabernet Sauvignon we brought with us. We had the Iberian Jambon for an appetizer, which was amazing. The lamb chops were seasoned and cooked perfectly. This was my second visit to this restaurant and it held up to my original impression. I will return!
Excellent food and service. Modern vibe. In a lovely area.
Food was great & ambience terrific
Service was very uneven. Great décor and very good food.
I spent my birthday at Fig & Olive last night with my husband and 2 children. The ambiance is incredible. I loved the decor, lighting, and music. Food was excellent. However, service was slow. It took us 10 minutes before we got our beverages. It took the server even longer before he got back to us to take our entree order. It’s a weekend, I get it, which is why I didn’t bother to flag him down. The server was very nice, never seemed to be paying attention to our table. Let’s just put it this way, our menus were still sitting on the table even after we left and he didn’t even notice...
Loved the meal. Alittle expensive for the entire experience, food. service, venue, etc.. but overall good.
Overall very good. The service was outstanding and our service was fun!
Food was good. Server was average - not very engaging nor friendly.
Dinner at Fig and Olive isn't an inexpensive proposition, I cobbled together a fabulous "tasting" menu with their crostini and sharing plates, allowing me to sample a wide range of goodness. My husband ordered the Chicken Tajine main dish and we were both very happy with our choices. We shared the apple tart for dessert and it was perfect. It was nice to eat something where you taste the fruit, instead of sugar. We lucked up weather-wise and enjoyed dining on the patio. We will definitely return to Fig and Olive!
We love this place! Great service/ambiance
Proposal and it went amazing, MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF!
The food was not up to par. It’s was nothing like I remember it being at NY location when I went. Really disappointed.
Our server was completely inattentive and seemed he had better things to be doing than to even come by to ask if we wanted another drink or more food. He just never really checked in at all.
Great restaurant and a great location with really good food and great service. Peter our waiter was very attentive and professional.
Excellent All Around!
We made a last minute decision to eat at Fig & Olive and I have to say, it was a great experience. I did reserve our table through Open table. The service was excellent, the drinks were amazing and the lamb chops I ordered were phenomenal. All in all it was a great dining experience and I would highly recommend eating here.
Great food and the outside dinning was lovely!!
Excellent service and food!
The waiter seemed preoccupied and forgot to place Mt entree I had to take to go
Amazing time. Excellent food and service. I had the risotto and it was excellent. They had nice indoor and outdoor seating. It was in a great area and had a wonderful ambiance. Perfect for entertaining and getting together with friends.
Great cocktails service wonderful food super would highly return atmosphere outside was wonderful inside was great too
Great ambiance, good service, pricey food & drinks - food was not bad (some better and some mediocre which is expected) but nothing spectacular that justifies the hefty prices.
Should have just went to Maydan. Meh
Had a great brunch with friends. Food was very good, as was the service. The live jazz band was very pleasant
Cheese and charcuterie was ok but a bit overpriced at $25. My wife was disappointed in her bouillabaisse entree. The broth was served luke-warm with the fish and prawns overly salted. The dish was suppose to contain fingerling potatoes but it came with squash instead. My daughter had the salmon which was good. My order of mushroom rigatoni was cooked well but sparse on the mushrooms. Service was fair. Quality of food did not justify the cost. Will not go there again.
Very average food. Will not go back.
Beautiful restaurant, great service and fresh, delicious food. Highly recommend. Loved the atmosphere.
I used to be a big fan of Fig & Olive, however after this last dinning experience I cannot say that I would return.
Classy and modern atmosphere. Dining outdoors is also a pleasant experience. Some service has been a little slow, but servers are generally very thoughtful and knowledgeable. Food is fantastic.
My wife and I were looking for somewhere to sit outside to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful meal at Fig & Olive DC. Because we wanted to sit outside, I can't speak to the noise level or the comfort of the seating inside but the outside tables were lovely and we had a wonderful meal. We both enjoyed our specialty cocktails very much, split an app and both truly enjoyed our entrees (I had the paella and she had one of the risotto dishes). The atmosphere inside looked really cool as well, lots of very comfortable looking seating in a very relaxed, chill environment but, as I said, we didn't stay inside since it was a beautiful night. The City Center area is also very cool which makes it even more appealing to head down and check out an evening at Fig & Olive.
Excellent flavor pairings you wouldn't expect and a good variety!
Michael! Michael! Michael! The restaurant was extremely loud, think we heard 1/2 a doz MJ songs within our first 30 minutes there. It was definitely hard to have a conversation. We could barely hear the wait staff. The food was pretty good but I couldn’t say it was particularly special. We waited quite a long time for our app. At least 30 minutes. We had to ask about it twice. Cocktails were good. I think we would have enjoyed the restaurant more on a slow Wednesday rather than a busy Saturday. The restrooms also reflected the bustle.
Delicious food, great service, and centrally located-good for both date nights and group dinners since restaurant is large but also has cozy tables available. Gluten "friendly" meals are available and I did not get cross-contamination. Highly recommend the Sea Bass, and the tomato/ watermelon/ burrata starter. My only reason for 4 stars overall is that it is pricey. That said, I will dine there again. It's rare to have a restaurant hit on all other elements.
Sloooow service from the moment we sat down. Four requests to get condiments. Four requests to get additional bottles of sparkling water. All of which were finally acted upon by bus staff and not server because he essentially disappeared once orders were taken. Unimpressive.
