Not a good experience! Could not read the menu and when the server explained she was very hard to understand. The food came and was not good. We had several different things to eat and we all thought thinks where bad. I was surprised the main dinning roam was so quiet, then I took a look around and saw it was so almost empty! Would not recommend

My friend and I were expecting good food and great service. However, both were not granted to us. Unfortunately, we received great food with horrible customer service. When we arrived the water glasses had dirt stains on them so we asked for clean glasses and fresh water. Then once we got them the waiter never refilled the our water or the drinks we ordered, and he also decided to leave the glasses that were dirty on our table. Please keep in mind we are seated at a bistro style table. My friends fries were cold. I couldn’t enjoy my sandwich because I didn’t have enough water which made me leave half of my sandwich and fries on my plate. Lastly, while we were experiencing horrible service, the other tables that our waiter had, had everything they needed and he even decided to take pictures for them when requested. Nonetheless, I will never return. I will watch my fingernails before I give Fig and Olive any of my money.

We went on a Wednesday when it was considerably less crowded. We ordered the salmon and lamb which were both good and portions were filling as well. For dessert we ordered the flourless chocolate cake and cheese cake. The food was good but the drinks were average. The service was quick as well. But it felt a bit expensive compared to what was being offered.

The food was delicious. I had one of the house specialty drinks, and I would highly recommend it. The seafood risotto was lovely, and my dessert was excellent. The servings were a little on the small side. It was very tasty; I just wish there had been a little more of it. I would highly recommend it! Lovely atmosphere and highly professional service.

Very good food and atmosphere. However, service was poor. Wait staff was slow and disappeared for long stretches of time. What could've been a great experience was negatively impacted by substandard service.

Compliments to the chef. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Atlantic salmon entre and the lamp skewers small dish. Nicely strong dirty martini made by the barkeep.

We've eaten there 4 times in the past. For the most part, always enjoyed our meal. About a three year break since we were there last. This time around, not so much. Food seems to have gone downhill. Wife's entree was too salty. I had the lamb which was a bit tough. Two large chunks. We will probably not return.

Unfortunately, service was not great. Despite being largely unoccupied, our service was slow and patchy. Server completely missed putting one order in and plates were brought out at rather random times. Also the menu was very divergent from what was posted online so that there were few vegetarian options.

Great Spring night in DC and we were seated outside. We had two cocktails, both were excellent. We tried three app sampler. The burrata was so good we ordered a full appetizer. For dinner one of us ordered the branzino and the other got a salad and pommes frites. All were very good. Overall, a great experience. We would go back.

I was surprised that I wasn't WoWed by this restaurant, as it has high reviews; and my friend's co-worker spoke very highly of it. The best parts might be that it's located in City Center and has outdoor seating available, and has a relaxing vibe inside. However, soon after I was seated, I saw a fly, and there was a little bug on my water glass, so that's when I wondered if this was an omen. The food was good, but nothing stellar; and my dessert was a whopping $15, but definitely nothing to write home about -- except at how overpriced it was. Sorry, Fig & Olive, I will not be returning!

We had a team dinner (8 people) and the service was excellent. The food was wonderful as well. Great options for small plates to share before indulging in the delightful entrees. Desserts were generously portioned and quite delicious. Would go back again for either an more intimate meal or another large group experience.

The food is always good, always consistent, so F&O remains a top spot for lunch meetings - business and pleasure. The sunny atmosphere is great, as is the outdoor seating. Service this trip was a little slow and one of our salads came without dressing, and getting some on the side took some effort. However, all good once it arrived.

Service was terrible. We had a reservation for 6 of us for brunch. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. It then took another 20 minutes for a server to appear and 45 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. Food was fine although the French Toast was an incredibly small portion for $18. Definitely would not go back.

The host staff was very accommodating and understood that we were running late. But I felt like our server wasn’t personable at all! Not nice, just cold. It was so dark in there we had to use phone flashlight to read menu. They were out of various things on the menu- including the special. They they had a list of 5 things to make our own appetizer platter but the option was pick 3 or pick 6 but there were only 5 but server just said repeat an option so I thought that was a bit odd… The menu to me was underwhelming and nothing stood out on entrée side so just ordered 2 more appetizers bit I feel like the price point is a bit high.
