We love this place! Great service/ambiance
Proposal and it went amazing, MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF!
The food was not up to par. It’s was nothing like I remember it being at NY location when I went. Really disappointed.
Our server was completely inattentive and seemed he had better things to be doing than to even come by to ask if we wanted another drink or more food. He just never really checked in at all.
Great restaurant and a great location with really good food and great service. Peter our waiter was very attentive and professional.
Excellent All Around!
Great food and the outside dinning was lovely!!
Excellent service and food!
The waiter seemed preoccupied and forgot to place Mt entree I had to take to go
Amazing time. Excellent food and service. I had the risotto and it was excellent. They had nice indoor and outdoor seating. It was in a great area and had a wonderful ambiance. Perfect for entertaining and getting together with friends.
Great cocktails service wonderful food super would highly return atmosphere outside was wonderful inside was great too
Great ambiance, good service, pricey food & drinks - food was not bad (some better and some mediocre which is expected) but nothing spectacular that justifies the hefty prices.
Should have just went to Maydan. Meh
Had a great brunch with friends. Food was very good, as was the service. The live jazz band was very pleasant
Cheese and charcuterie was ok but a bit overpriced at $25. My wife was disappointed in her bouillabaisse entree. The broth was served luke-warm with the fish and prawns overly salted. The dish was suppose to contain fingerling potatoes but it came with squash instead. My daughter had the salmon which was good. My order of mushroom rigatoni was cooked well but sparse on the mushrooms. Service was fair. Quality of food did not justify the cost. Will not go there again.
Very average food. Will not go back.
Beautiful restaurant, great service and fresh, delicious food. Highly recommend. Loved the atmosphere.
I used to be a big fan of Fig & Olive, however after this last dinning experience I cannot say that I would return.
My wife and I were looking for somewhere to sit outside to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful meal at Fig & Olive DC. Because we wanted to sit outside, I can't speak to the noise level or the comfort of the seating inside but the outside tables were lovely and we had a wonderful meal. We both enjoyed our specialty cocktails very much, split an app and both truly enjoyed our entrees (I had the paella and she had one of the risotto dishes). The atmosphere inside looked really cool as well, lots of very comfortable looking seating in a very relaxed, chill environment but, as I said, we didn't stay inside since it was a beautiful night. The City Center area is also very cool which makes it even more appealing to head down and check out an evening at Fig & Olive.
Excellent flavor pairings you wouldn't expect and a good variety!
Michael! Michael! Michael! The restaurant was extremely loud, think we heard 1/2 a doz MJ songs within our first 30 minutes there. It was definitely hard to have a conversation. We could barely hear the wait staff. The food was pretty good but I couldn’t say it was particularly special. We waited quite a long time for our app. At least 30 minutes. We had to ask about it twice. Cocktails were good. I think we would have enjoyed the restaurant more on a slow Wednesday rather than a busy Saturday. The restrooms also reflected the bustle.
Delicious food, great service, and centrally located-good for both date nights and group dinners since restaurant is large but also has cozy tables available. Gluten "friendly" meals are available and I did not get cross-contamination. Highly recommend the Sea Bass, and the tomato/ watermelon/ burrata starter. My only reason for 4 stars overall is that it is pricey. That said, I will dine there again. It's rare to have a restaurant hit on all other elements.
Sloooow service from the moment we sat down. Four requests to get condiments. Four requests to get additional bottles of sparkling water. All of which were finally acted upon by bus staff and not server because he essentially disappeared once orders were taken. Unimpressive.
Service was a bit slower than usual and not as friendly .. come here regularly so have basis for comparison
Went this time for Restaurant Week. Good food and excellent cocktails. I'd forgotten about this little jewel. Won't wait so long to return next time.
delicious brunch with a great atmosphere and a live jazz band downstairs
The cheesecake was delicious!
Excellent service and food. Will return soon to try their brunch as it has been highly recommended.
Service was horrible. Took forever for food to get to our table. It was a 2.5 lunch. Too long.
It was my birthday and I mentioned it on the open table confirmation. My daughter also called them to inform
of our special occasion. It was absolutely ignored and none bothered to acknowledge it. No candle either.
The food was good however I struggled to see anything special in terms of presentation or taste.
Very disappointed overall. Not a BT celebration that would expect from a restaurant that prides itself in delivering memorable experience of elite cuisine.
Great Restaurant Week experience!
My god. This place is AMAZING! Beautiful sexy and the food is delicious. I would love to go here at least once a month just for fun. The drinks were great and my entree was delicious. They cooked my steak very well done when I asked for medium and they quickly changed it and it was so delicious and to my liking. Our server was amazing too.
Although i requested one of the lounge tables ahead of time, we were seated in the upstairs farthest back room which is basically the vibe of a Hilton breakfast buffet room...nothing special. It also reeked of fish because the tables were so close I could only smell the food of the people next to me. We asked for a new table but the only other option was outside, it was better sweating our entire meal than smelling someone else’s fish. Our waiter was rude about my mother who is GF and DF when she simply asked for him to mark this on the menu. A spider dropped down from the umbrella above us. Oh and the host who brought us to our 2 tables was SO awkward, could barely walk his pants were so tight and mumbled. It felt unprofessional and disappointing. Won’t be back but had been many times before and enjoyed....too bad.
Went for dinner for restaurant week with a larger party. They were very accommodating and we were seated right away with water and drinks short after. The food was delicious but we did have to waive our waiter down for more drinks. Otherwise, we had a great time and would come again.
Fig & Olive is a really cool space and it is well run and the staff is really nice - I don't think their prices match the quality. It is a cool spot maybe for some crostinis and happy hour drinks. Otherwise, I think there are better options in DC for a better price. It is a solid choice, but you definitely pay a premium.
It is what it is. Solid and consistent.
Excellent tuna carpaccio starter but chicken tagine was a tasteless humble of ingredients tied together by nothing
My cousin and I attended DC Rest Week. The menu options were great! I enjoyed the carpaccio, salmon and cheesecake. Great service and loved the ability to discount the valet parking with a validated ticket.
Excellent quality dining experience all the way. Loved their truffle risotto!
Great selection for restaurant week. Loved the tuna carpaccio!
