I have now been to Fig and Olive twice, once in Chicago and once in DC. This place is great. The food is fantastic, great drinks, great atmosphere for a night out.
It was my Bday dinner and I was certainly not disappointed. Excellent on every level.
One of my favorite restaurants. The ambiance and food is excellent as is the service. Convenient to get to by metro.
A bit pricey but you’re paying for the good stuff !
Pretty loud space but I do like the upstairs area although the noise was noticeable for a business meeting. The use of veggies was outstanding and the flavors on the sea bass were top notch! Really think the sampler dessert is a must have.
Met up with a college friend for a table for two at 7p. Walked-in and were immediately seated which is always a great start. More of a beer guy myself, but started out with Mediterranean Mule which was a solid drink; not too fruity and just the right backend alcohol finish. We started off by splitting the Fig which looks way too healthy for me but the flavors work just right. We ordered the Chateaubriand for Two which was prepared just as ordered; the mashed potato side and brussel sprouts side did not disappoint. Finished the meal off with the dessert that should not be missed....Bruleed Cheesecake! Great company, great drink and great food....great time.
Went twice on my trip to DC, loved it both times.
Very comfortable. Nice ambiance. Great food.
Their scallops appetizer and butter lettuce salad are delicious.
But Im not too happy woth the entree, the short rib is a bit though!
Nice spot. We went at 5:30 as soon as they opened the upstairs. Great ambiance. Quick service. Prices a little high for the amount you get, but great service and flavors across the board from food to drinks.
Service was spotty and inattentive. Meal portions were very small for main course taste ok but not worth price
Light, easy and happy environment
My boyfriend and I went to F&O for brunch and were delighted. The crostinis were delicious and I’d also have to recommend the steak and eggs. Fresh, quality food prepared well.
Best ambiance and great food😀
Great as always
A HUGE thank you to everyone at Fig & Olive that made my mom and her twin brother's birthday celebration so fabulous. They have not stopped raving about the food, service and atmosphere from their visit on Friday night. I will definitely be recommending everyone I know to F & O!!!
Celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. It was so nice to be in a restaurant where we could chat. It has a really great vibe.
Visited our DC location several times. Food is always top notch. Service usually is as well. One visit we did not have good service, I immediately contacted management and explained what happened. They stepped up-we went back last week, and service was top notch! Excellent location-Excellent steak-Great Service-Exactly what a restaurant should be.
It’s an attractive place with an appealing menu, but the service was a bit overtaxed that night - not enough waitstaff - and the food was uneven. Moroccan chicken was very dry and disappointing.
Fig & Olive was absolutely amazing! They were very accommodating of my request, as I was celebrating an anniversary with my partner! They made the night an incredible experience and I would highly recommend them!
My food was too salty! I almost couldn´t eat it! Plus the waitress was not nice at all
Too expensive, food its ok, not as good as the hi price. The attention was really bad have to look for the waiter.
First time here at this very popular restaurant. Nice décor, a bit noisy. My lobster ravioli was very flavorful with some nice chunks of lobster, The short rib, while packed with flavor, was not as tender as I would have liked. Would go back to give it another try.
Food was great but service was very slow and sleepy on a Sunday night.
Seafood platter was such a disappointment: Oyster shucking was such a disaster. Lobster and shrimps were severely overcooked. I honestly don't know why dare serving a seafood platter if you lack the very basic knowledge about it.
My wife and I went for a date night and had a fantastic time. Diver scallops were a perfectly cooked. The wine sommelier gave a great recommendation on a bottle of wine to pair with our châteaubrian, and the dessert tasting was a hit! Great vibes and the noise level, which can make or break a dinner for my wife, was on point. Thank you!
The manager and Denae were both absolutely amazing!
Great food and service . Modern decor. The first floor more for drinks and social gathering, the second is more quiet . It was our first time there and we will come back
Only one menu brought to table when seated. Greater had to get second menu and return. She left and my guest opened menu folder only no menu in it. Service was good but inconsistent. Manager stopped by table. I think food was just ok and way over priced. Menu descriptions didn’t have all the items in the plate. $40 for two scallops and Risotto (with ‘truffle’ oil for Truffle Risotto is a bit of a stretch). Been here many times and it’s been inconsistent. Didn’t tell manager because I was in a busy meeting and didn’t think appropriate time.
Great food overall but the poor bartender was overwhelmed. Why not have two bartenders during happy hour??
One of my favorite places in downtown DC, with a fantastic wine list!
I really like Fig & Olive and have been several times. I was a little disappointed at the lack of attention to detail through the entire experience this time around. I hope it was just a fluke.
The ambiance was lovely. As one friend put it, she felt like she was eating in a West Elm catalog. Everything on the menu looked great. My friend and I both chose the short ribs and my other friend chose the wild mushroom rigatoni and added scallops. While the presentation of the dishes was lovely, we were all a little underwhelmed by our food. My friend who had ordered the Escape to Provence cocktail was expecting more flavor. I thought the short ribs needed more salt and I was not a fan of the crispy polenta. While we enjoyed our dinner, we all left feeling that the everything was a little over priced for what we ended getting.
There comes a point when restaurants saving a buck on small portions ruins the entire experience. The salmon portion was a joke. Really?? unbelievably short sighted. I am OK with expensive but expensive without value does not work. You has 5 "new" customers that will not come back.
Love the atmosphere, but the food was not good. The burgers fell apart and were cumbersome and the chicken was dry
We had a great time at Fig and Olive. The food was delicious and the ambiance was different and nice. This was an excellent recommendation.
Great Sunday brunch again!
Really a beautiful space - we will always be back!
My Boyfriend and I went here for an early brunch. I got the lamb burger and he got steak and eggs. Our food was AMAZING and we talked about our meal for a couple days after. We sat upstairs and since it was still early, it was not crowded at all. The ambiance was great and very well lit on a gloomy day. Highly recommend going here!
The atmosphere is great, the service was well. The only complaint i have is that the short rib i had was a little cool as if it was sitting for a bit before i received it. For the price you pay for this short rib, you would expect it would be fresh off the grill and not from sitting where ever it was before it came to me. Apart from that, it was a nice time and i will be going back.
Well appointed location, with well trained staff. Service was efficient and tending without being overbearing. We sampled a wide variety of the offerings, With crostinis and the fig and olive salad, standouts. Recommended, will visit again when in area.
