Devon the bartender made our experience!! The DJ was great but we were waiting 15-20 minutes even after our reservation.
Fantastic!
This place was swanky and very tasty. Sit in the chair and couch section it’s much more comfortable. I would highly recommend!
It was an absolutely horrible experience. We opted to dine at the bar. The server couldn’t have been less interested in helping us. He served water in a wine glass and then never refilled. It took 30 min to order. Once finished with meal it took 20 minutes to get his attention so that I could pay and leave
Enjoyed the DJ and over all ambience a lot
We ordered appetizers and main course. It was all brought out at once, during the appetizer time. Had to send the meal back to keep warm until we were done with first course and first glass of wine.
Always good food and service. It was great value this time as the brunch menu had specials.
Can’t wait to dine here again!!!
I’ve dined at Fig and Olive multiple times throughout it’s time in Chicago. I was there at their opening event and frequent it with friends and family. Most of my experiences leading up to this one were positive. The staff is very friendly, the food tasty and the vibe just perfect. The waiter who served family and I during this visit was extremely rude with no excuse. He rarely was available, spilled water over the table when he poured, didn’t ask if the food was good - actually stated “food is good” as he did a drive by comment drop, not waiting for any questions or comments, he slammed drinks on the table or left them in the corner without letting us know what was being delivered or delivering it in an appropriate manner. He was extremely rude to the point my family and I were in disbelief. It wasn’t an extraordinarily busy night or a large table. I’m not sure why we were treated in such a way.
I made a reservation for 2 for a birthday. There was no available table on the first floor where I expected/wanted to sit as it is very lovely (the reason this restaurant was chosen). I was taken up a long flight of stairs to the second floor and I asked if it looked the same as the first floor. I was told yes. It is not--not nearly as nice. To top that they wanted us to squeeze into a tiny table for 2 between two other tables. I said no and asked for a nicer table that was set for 3. The manager was asked if we could have that table and he said no. So, we ended up sitting at the bar on the first floor. The bar is nice but not what we expected. No one seemed to care where we sat. So...an expensive restaurant that didn't seem to care much how its patrons felt...
The food continues to disappoint. I love this adult bar restaurant, the bar lounge is fantastic. If Fig and Olive could get back to carrying about the food quality- I could get back to supporting them weekly. And I know too many chicago foodies who feel the same way I do.
You can always count on great food in a beautiful setting at Fig and Olive. This time we sat in the lounge area which was so nice for a girlfriends cocktails and bites. Our waiter was the best!
The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, all of my most favorite dishes with my most favorite things! Marscapone, burratta, truffle everything! Thank you!
Everything was amazing and perfect!
Yes we would recommend FIG & OLIVE! The food was delicious, a little pricey for quantity, but it was delicious. Service was wonderful.
Date night out for funny time!
We've dined at a Fig & Olive in NYC - this one is very different - much bigger and glitzier. We were there for "datenight" and had hoped to spend some time over a nice meal. The food was good (not great, but quite good). But we felt incredibly rushed - just over 30 minutes from the time we walked through the door to the time we paid and left. In that time, we ordered, they served drinks and 2 courses. In fact, the first course (carrot Ginger soup - a little bland) came out within 2 minutes of ordering. It was very mechanical - get in and get out. If we're in a hurry, we'll go there again, but otherwise, we're looking for something a little more relaxing.
Food always amazing the service for us is the best. We usually sit at the bar with Hugo being our bartender and server! He is always not only professional and knowledgeable but FUN!!!! Makes us keep coming back when we visit Chicago!!!!
Loved it so much the first time, we came back with friends. Great food, ambiance, and service.
Really nice place to look at the premium shopping street of Chicago.
Always a treat to dine at Fig and Olive. Professional staff and excellent food.
Food was great! Server was awesome!!
Took an hour and a half for lunch - longer than expected for a business lunch
Had a great lunch. Service was great, view out the windows was great. A very enjoyable lunch with friends.
Food and service is always exceptional!
Even though we live in the neighborhood and Fig & Olive has been open for five years, this was our first time there. We loved it. It is a beautiful restaurant with great food and a friendly, attentive staff. We dine out a lot, so when we say our experience was excellent, we mean it.
It is pricey and a little noisy, but overall a very nice experience. We look forward to returning -- particularly in the summer when we can dine on the terrace.
Really disappointing. Food was really terrible! They need to up their game...riding on their laurels!
We have been here multiple times and we always like it. The only reason I gave service 4 stars is because there was a delay between plates and nobody said anything about it, but still we had a great meal.
The crostini are great as is the whole branzino.
Excellent food , great ambiance , extremely bad service !!
Everything was awesome...Craig was the first person we met and talked to at the bar and he was very knowledgeable and professional...we had a wonderful experience!
Food could be better
They advertise Mediterranean food but it is very far off the mark. The lobster salad was 2 on a scale of 10; all the plates were at the very least mediocre and lacked taste. The service was medium we had to continually ask the waiter for things we ordered. The shrimp cocktail sauce was tasteless. The drinks we good. All in all I wouldn’t rate the Resturant as 4.5 star as Open Table did, the rating should be more like 3 stars.
We waited more than a half hour past our 8:00 reservation time. Then they tried to cram the three of us into a table barely big enough.
Food and selections were terrific. Portions were perfectly sized to not feel overstuffed. Crostini appetizer selection was great. And Danilo was just an outstanding waiter.
Birthday celebration with friends.
Awesome atmosphere. Very modern and chic. Great food and service. I went for brunch with my husband and parents. Will definitely go back to try out the dinner menu and have a cocktail on the third floor rooftop.
Great night
Overpriced and not tasty food. Service was good but the food didn't make the cut:,
Everything was pristinely coordinated! Lovely lighting and atmosphere. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long while.
