We waited at least 10 minutes after being seated until our server came by. Took another 10-15 minutes to receive our drinks. I honestly felt like we were being ignored on purpose and considered leaving. Crostinis were great. I had the filet, which was very good. My husband had the chicken, and it was pretty mediocre. Overall the experience felt like a disappointment given the price point at this restaurant. Not planning to return.
The restaurant is beautifully appointed. Love the trendy & contemporary feel. Food was very good, but the cocktails were excellent! Server was attentive but not overly friendly. Great place for a girlfriend get-together😀 We sat in the lounge and really enjoyed the conversation & city vibes!! Will definitely return!
Another great business lunch at FIG & OLIVE. Nice, bright spot that's quiet enough during lunch service for business conversation. Menu is wide and appeals to many. Good portion sizes. Have yet to be let down -- highly recommend!
Food was good, but the meats (lamb, short rib, and chicken) left a little room for improvement. Great apps and drinks, and the space is very nice / classy / modern.
It was a nice evening dinner with heathy fares.
Fig & Olive is a beautiful restaurant in a great location, but the food was just OK at best. There is much better food with equally lovely ambience in Chicago.
I have been to Fig and Olive for lunch before and loved it but I had a terrible experience today. I went for lunch today and ordered a salad with salmon. It took over 40 minutes for my salad and they never brought me bread with olive oil or refilled my drink. When my salad finally arrived I only had 15 minutes left to eat before my next appointment. My salmon was totally cold and raw inside. I won’t be back

Best dinner we've had in a while, and we have a lot of great dinners in this city! The food was delicious, the service was absolutely outstanding, and the ambiance is a ten. We can't wait to go back to try more things on the menu, definitely a new fav!
The food was not as good as my first time there, and the waiter was not very helpful and actually rather dismissive when asked to compare and describe different dishes.
Was going yo concert at Chicago Theater. Had early dinner. 2nd time I’ve been here. Steak was excellent.
Service was very disappointing! Food come 1 hour after we got there. it was really good, but once you wait for. Long time it’s no longer a great experience disappointed since i love this restaurant and the food.
Alex and his staff are beyond exceptional!
The Restaurant is lovely. Food was delicious and portions are generous. Unlike past times we’ve been here, the server was not attentive. She didn’t come to take our order for a very long time. After the food was served she didn’t check with us.
Food didn’t have much flavor. We haven’t been here in ~2 years. It was pretty obvious they have a new chef since then.
It was such a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely come back again.
Quiet and relaxing for conversation
Went here two days in a row. Service was slow. This is the second day in a row I had this problem. At this time, the waiter moved things along when I asked.
The day before the service was slow AND THE FOOD WAS SERVED COLD (or mildly warm). Obviously, all of our food was on the counter too long. Big bill, subpar service would be my summary. Sorry to say.
Beautiful space, great food. Love it for Sunday brunch.
I had brunch with a friend I rarely see. We enjoyed a lovely meal & had plenty of time to visit. We were not rushed, instead, our waiter was attentive to our needs while we talked & talked. Really a wonderful experience. I recommend Olive & Fig highly.
Very nice place for a quick bite to eat, but rather expensive and drinks are not very good
Check in was a little tricky but overall service was excellent... Our server was excellent and he was very attentive to detail.. Definitely a must go.. Ambiance was also excellent..
This place was truly something special. Beautiful space, impeccable service, and authentic and great food. I will definitely be headed back!
Such a beautiful setting with attentive service for friend who has many things she can't eat. Had a lovely table by the window. This was my 3rd time and going on my 4th.
It has a very classy and relaxed atmosphere. It was so comfortable, we could have sat and relaxed there all night. Was the perfect ending to a hectic week. The food is phenomenal, as is the service. We plan to go there every time we are in the city.
A must every time we visit Chicago. Excellent food, professional service and great atmosphere. I recommend it highly.
Hostess was rude but everything else was outstanding.
Son college celebration
Great food, great service. A little pricey but very nice.
Great options for healthy and superb flavored meals. The shrimp and salmon salad was awesome. Nice bright environment to enjoy good conversation.
A little overpriced and menu had changed some from the last time I was there. I was looking forward to having what I had before and it was taken off the menu.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, very good service!!!
Our server was very professional and helpful. The food was excellent. The ambience was nice. We did not feel rushed to leave. Overall one of the best experiences dining in Chicago.
The server was not friendly, seemed kind of snobby. The food was fine. Pretty underwhelmed
I was extremely excited to try this place - the ambiance looked incredible, the food sounded delightful and its located in a great area. I was sadly disappointed with almost every aspect of the experience.
To start, our server was awful. I normally don't place much emphasis on service because one bad server should not define an establishment. But this was horrific. Between our table and the table next to us, almost every single item we ordered was wrong. The food was sub par at best.
We ordered three of the crostinis, marinated lamb chops, the beef carpaccio, and the branzino for two.
The crostinis were tasteless and tiny, a major disappointment. The carpaccio was overly salted to mask the poor quality of meat used. The lamb chops were pretty good, cooked to perfection and the only saving grace of the meal. And the Branzino - the biggest disappointment. It was overcooked and dry, the presentation was horrific. Truly an overall disappointing experience.
The food was mostly delicious. Expected a little more "toastiness" on the crostini, but the toppings were delicious. The lamb was excellent, as was the glaze on the short rib. Didn't care for the crispy polenta served with the short rib - there wasn't enough of the glaze to really give it much taste. Brussels sprouts side was flavorful, but a little chewy. Had the dessert tasting - it was excellent! Just enough of each to enjoy. The pots de creme was the best - so creamy and refreshing. The service was excellent, even though we sat in the lounge rather than the dining room. Loved the ambience of the lounge. The valet was not to be found, so parking was chancy. Overall, a good experience and I would go back.
Food was outstanding and so was the room.
Our waiter was arrogant and have my wife a creepy vibe.
Five stars with another waiter.
A great brunch spot on oak street !!! The menu is diverse enough to handle the breakfast pallet or a more robust lunch...... i had the Rigatoni Mushroom Pasta and would recommend that that entree. Had a glass Of French Sancerre wine and was totally fulfilled.....
Will go back again !! get a window seat overlooking Oak Street
What a great find!! Excellent food! We’ll be back next time we’re in Chicago
Disappointed in the service and the quality of the food. Unless you like the NYC vibe where you are considered 'lucky to be eating in this temple' then you won't like this place. Tons of attitude, very slow service (literally 40 minutes before out drink was taken, with bread coming out after appetizers) and there was a charity auction going on the atrium below us. At $300 for dinner for two I'd rather not be hearing an auctioneer rattle off the going price for a Green Bay Packer Jersey.
