Terrible service and poor communication
Server wasn’t really friendly , I saw her reaction when I asked another server for what I asked her … regardless we gave her a 20% tip . But we definitely felt rushed . Food was tasty . The location is beautiful!
All the reviews I have read were right. This restaurant is a charm. Sitting outside with the heat lamps on was cozy. We all said we couldn’t believe we were in Morristown - it felt like we were transported to somewhere in Europe. The food was yummy and our waitress had a great sense humor which just added to the experience. Loved the avocado ganoush. We all are something different (chicken shish, bronzini, lamb chops and lamb special)
Can’t wait to go again.
Outdoor space is absolutely beautiful. Service was top notch - our server, Sue, was awesome. Food was delicious. We ordered the lentil soup, eggplant medley and beet/goat cheese to start. For entrees we had chicken shish and the lamb special. Both were extremely tasty and unique. We will definitely return.
Atmosphere is great. Food is mediocre. For the price, they need to make improvements.
We had the fig salad which was oddly sweet and drenched in a cinnamon dressing.
Falafel were hard and dry
Meatballs were overcooked.
That said - the outdoor patio area is magical, byob is great and our server was lovely.
Lovely ambiance and very good food! Great outside dining venue with plenty of heaters and blankets available. BYOB which is nice too!
The garden patio area is lovely. We requested to be moved inside because it began to rain suddenly. Unfortunately the inside experience was much different. The windows weren’t open and the blinds were down, so it seemed enclosed and dim. The noise travels, so a large crowd of women enjoying some kind of gathering overshadowed our entire brunch. They were extremely loud and at one point we’re singing aloud as a group. The service was incredibly slow. I did feel bad for the staff, because they seemed torn in multiple directions because of the sudden change in weather, but still we waited for far too long for coffee, food orders, refills, and the check. The food was delicious, but the mezzes were much better than the egg dishes. Extremely small servings of home fries (I had about 6 pieces of potato in total) and the side salad on the same plate was warm. By contrast the avocado ganoush and eggplant dish and warm pita were excellent. I’m willing to try again and write this off as an off day.
Staff extremely accommodating when rain came offered to move us inside food is delicious with mouthwatering presentation
Beautiful set up, amazing food, great service. Totally recommend
Brunch was pretty good, the atmosphere was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.
Really enjoyed the outside dining space. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was great! It’s a great place for date night or for dinner with friends.
We had an awesome night at Fig & Lily for our anniversary. The staff was kind and the ambience was fabulous, especially during COVID as it is all outdoor seating!
Thank you for bringing us the nice Anniversary Figs for dessert! A nice touch!
We had a fun and relaxing girls night. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! The outdoor seating area is beautiful!
Such a fab atmosphere! They def have a napkin issue there - as in lack thereof. Lol. The food was amazing.
Always a great experience.. The food is delicious and service is phenomenal.
Great atmosphere and food! We sat outside in mid-October and the weather was perfect too!
Beautiful location. Good food. COVID level service that should be expected in this climate. Waiter was great. Everyone else is clearly inexperienced and food coming out of the kitchen super slowly. But it was a beautiful day and the outdoor courtyard is awesome. Good music. Just expect the COVID frustration that you find anywhere.
The ambience was great but the food was truly disappointing. Never knew a branzino could taste so bad. The fig salad was overdressed , soggy and very sweet - tasted weird ! Thankfully they served the shrimps separately and they were grilled well .
The only dish in the meal we liked was the fried calamari .
I wish the food could match the ambience !
The apps from lunch menu (fries & phyllo). Pasta was good.
Cute place, great food . Nice outdoor dining setup .
Food was so good but the service was extremely slow. Waited close to an hour for our appetizers (that was only the garden platter), our entrees came out quickly after and then we were rushed out at the end. A 1.5 hour dinner turned into 3
Sat outside with a party of 8 on a perfect fall evening. The patio is so pretty with super large orange umbrellas that kept us dry from a little drizzle. Food excellent as always! Group shared appetizers and each ordered a main course. Four people in our group had never dined there before and were impressed with menu and quality of the food.
Great food & a lovely outside courtyard. Highly recommend.
The outdoor seating area is delightful (heaters and blankets are available), the staff curteous and attentive and the food is great, if you like mediterranean food (which I do!). This was my second time there and I would recommend to anyone in the Morristown area. I will be back!
Fig & Lily was recommended by a friend so we expected it to be very good.
Exceeded those expectations in all categories.
Just to set expectations on pricing, be prepared to spend as it charges NYC prices.
We knew that going in, but others may not
Poor service (took long time to get stuff) but otherwise great
I came to Fig & Lily Garden to celebrate my 35th birthday and I had a fantastic time. Our waiter was so kind and very patient with my party. Food was good. Highly recommend the octopus and polenta….extremely flavorful! The music is more of a piano lounge vibe which I was surprised by and not really a fan of. The decor, both interior and exterior, is gorgeous. Overall, a great dining experience.
We went to celebrate my dad’s birthday and had the best experience. The food was delicious! We shared many appetizers and loved them all. Our server was fantastic! You can’t go wrong eating here!
Very nice. Food and atmosphere very nice. Lovely waitress.
Good Mediterranean food. The 'Garden' was a nice place to eat (we had a beautiful evening to dine). Service was slow, but that may be intentional, as they want you to enjoy the ambiance of the eating experience. Our first time there, and would go back.
Wonderful experience. We sat outside and had a delicious meal.
I absolutely will be back. Lovely outdoor ambiance, classy but not pretentious. The staff is very accommodating and also attentive. The only reason I gave 4 stars vrs 5 is the apps lacked a bit of flavor. Calamari, Falafel, etc were not seasoned...
I had the luncheon version of steak and linguine - the steak was tough and overdone. The service was mediocre at best. I had been there before and the food was much better but was disappointed in this visit.
We had dinner outside on a Sunday evening; the setting was soothing, with quiet classical music and tasteful lighting.
Service was superb, with George, the manager always attentive.
The food was excellent; I would call it gourmet Mediterranean with tender beef and lamb, delicious eggplant dishes, and marinated chicken that just melted in my mouth!
The Baclava was to die for ( you just have to order it!); I would give 5 stars to all the appetizers and entrees.
A little pricey, but an oasis of fine dining in downtown Morristown .
(they have heating lamps and shawls for a cool evening; a nice touch)
We had a gathering with friends - I had no idea there would be live music! Food was excellent, atmosphere was excellent! Highly recommend the lamp chops!!!
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Fig & Lily Garden. The restaurant has unique Mediterranean cuisine. I recommend this restaurant
It was our first time at this restaurant. We ate in the garden and the weather was perfect. The menu has a lot of interesting items and the two appetizers and two entrees we had were delicious. The service was also good. and the prices were reasonable. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is the entertainment. I am 69 years old and I found the "lounge singer" doing Sinatra and other really old tunes to be too old fashioned. The music that was on speakers before the singer started was fine, as it was background, but this singer strolled through the tables, making him difficult to ignore. The restaurant would be better off with the singer.
Great ambience , avg food for the price.
So glad we found this place for brunch! The ambiance was amazing and the food was so good. Staff was sweet and attentive. This is going to be our spot from now on.
Good for a one time visit but plates are too small for the price they charge
