Service was horrible. Food was ok, but not great. We waited about an hour for our food to be served and it was not hot when it arrived. The bisquits and gravy should be a side to something, maybe a salad, but alone they were not a meal. The impossible burger had no flavor. The drink menu looked good but service was so bad we were never able to order anything.
While I didn't realize the restaurant was Vegan when I made the reservation, the menu seemed fine for my party of 5. No one was unable to find anything to enjoy. However, service was SLOW and that was sad because it wasn't that busy. Our "appetizers" came out with our main courses and we waited probably a half hour for our food (no explanation was offered). When it came time to leave, we asked about parking validation and were told that they had used all their validations the previous day...not sure exactly how that works, but we won't likely be back.
Great, imaginative vegan food. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend. Great place to entertain clients who want plant-based options, fantastic date night or brunch. Go!
We were very excited to try this place. Great ambiance and bar, but we ended up getting seated at a table by the window. The service was slow. It felt like it was the end of our waitress' shift and she was preparing to close out for the night so we felt a little like an after thought when she remembered we were there. It seemed our waitress didn't know the menu that well because she wasn't familiar with some staple vegan ingredients. However, her recommendation for appetizers was excellent as those were our favorite dishes, the roasted squash with hazelnuts and kale and the artichoke dip. She was also very nice. For the entrees, the mushroom stroganoff needed salt and the pasta was very gummy. The lasagna tasted like chili powder which was a little off putting. However, we loved the kale salad that came with it. We were disappointed with the mushroom pizza as we found it to be bland and stingy on the actual mushrooms. Having said all that, I would give this place another chance. They have a large and diverse menu and excellent cocktails and wine selections and the dessert looked fabulous.
Drinks and food were good; however, service was extremely slow
The food overall was amazing - almost everyone at the table got different entrees and they were all amazing! The drinks were also great and moderately priced. The restaurant itself is adorable inside. Our service was a bit slow, this may just be the vibe of the place but it left us waiting to order for a bit too long.
My girlfriend has a number of food restrictions and she was very happy when she realized she could eat just about everything on the menu
Great choices on the menu and they we're very helpful and accommodating with one of our parties food allergy concerns. Good service and fun space. We appreciated the parking validation at the adjacent ramp too.
The food is fantastic, and we love that it is a mission-based restaurant, actively promoting the impact of food consumption on the environment. Each time we've come, they've been out of something on the menu. Once, on a busy weekend, they brought our food in waves, about 15 minutes apart, though they apologized profusely, and it was great once it arrived. The wait staff is very friendly and diverse. Disappointed that they were out of the mushroom stroganoff, which is a fantastic dish. I think they're still figuring out how to balance creating enough of everything without having too many leftovers since it is all made fresh & to order. Looking forward to checking out their climate talk series.
Love the concept. Love the mission. Very slow service the few times we’ve gone. Overpriced for what you are getting and how long it takes to get it.
We went for Sunday Brunch. The buffet was amazing and so full of incredible dishes.
Drinks were tastefully balanced. Enjoyed the Big Jerf. It was a hearty dish with some spiciness.
Delicious food. Huge portions. Nice ambiance.
Great food, slow to under serviced. We were seated and after 10 minutes the host still didn’t have a high chair for us but was walking around doing nothing really. We went and found them ourselves. After 15 minutes we finally had a server greet us. Food was very backed up and seemed to take longer than an average wait at other restaurants.
Huge bonus for families - a kids’ play area. Saved us when our kid was done with sitting at the table.
Menu has changed since my first visit and we had some really delicious options. Highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower. Mushrooms were kind of gross.
Always excellent food, always impeccable service! We love Fig + Farro and it is our "go to" restaurant for a nice night out on the town. Our food was exceptional and delicious (with the exception of the cheesecake which was kind of stodgy and disappointing). Love and highly recommend Fig + Farro!! The people there are great!
Maddie our server was excellent and had great recommendations! Fun and tasty drinks with an equally delightful food menu. We shared the Jerusalem Plate appetizer, and I could eat the pickled carrots every day of my life. We shared an entree too, and my fiancé couldn’t get over the jackfruit barbacoa! Left full and satisfied.
Always interesting and delicious food, and vegan to boost, but you often wouldn't know it.
Maddie was our waitress and she was fantastic - a lot of fun!
The adult beverages were yummy and interesting. Our food was delicious. Can't wait to visit again!
The only reason I deducted a star from "overall experience" was because when I arrived, I stated that we had a reservation with Open Table. The restaurant wasn't busy at the hour we arrived and the host who greeted us did not ask the name of the reservation. For some reason, Fig and Farrow canceled our reservation with Open Table. (Open table made good on it though).
Love their mission. Food was excellent and very tasty.
Your 3% service charge is ridiculous. If you want to offset your benefits cost simply raise your menu prices. I run a business and my customers wouldn’t allow me to charge them an additional 3%. I also believe this will cause your customers to tip your staff less. Which isn’t fair to your staff members who have elected not to take the company insurance.
The appetizers are large, so don't fill up before the main course! The jambalaya was very tasy. Not very spicy (the heat came from the plant-based sausage), and I forgot to ask if the spice level was an option. My wife had the avocado tacos, which we're also very tasty.
Love their mission and the difference they are making. Execution could use some work. Service was very slow, food was just ok, and they were out of items on menu. The fried cauliflower is darn good though.
AWESOME cocktails, delicious food and the best service!! Loved it here and I’m not even a vegan. My vegan friend loved it too!
An excellent choice for our anniversary dinner. Scrumptious vegan food!
I loved it! It was so yummy and such a fun vegan place.
Fabulous creative Vegan meal!
Baby Kale salad was wonderful. Parmesan in dressing incredible.
Too bad I don't live in the Twin Cities.
Great food. Service was poor. Admittedly, they were busy, but the service was not commensurate with the outstanding quality of the food. Still, we will go there many times.
I am normaly a strict meat eater guy but went here for a change of pace date type of thing and I will say I was pleasently surprised food was amazing! Would go again in a heartbeat
First time here and first time trying vegan menu. Charming spot. We enjoyed our waiter, but felt we were a bit rushed, not by him but perhaps the kitchen. Main course came out before we had finished apps. We would have enjoyed a second cocktail before dinner, but everything came very fast. There were three of us dining and we ordered so we could sample different options. However, portion size was so large no one completed more than half their food including sharing. This seems inconsistent with the mission, and frankly is a general comment. Provide two portion size options. I’m sure we will try it again as we explore higher end plant based dining. Wish them all the success in the world.
My visit was to celebrate my birthday with my family, and I definitely made the right choice! We were there at 5pm on Sunday and the restaurant was nice and quiet, service was great, and food came out quickly.
An inspiring and delicious restaurant. One of my favs. Recently loved the Buffalo Cauliflower and the F&F Bennie (a yummy vegan spin on eggs benedict). It's my go-to place for intergenerational meals - because it is hip and climate-forward for my college-age sons and quiet and plant-forward for my vegetarian older parents with hearing challenges. Calm, spacious, warmly finished space. Even has a play space for small kids. Great food! Definitely worth checking out!
Delicious vegan entrees in a cool environment. Pesto lasagna was excellent.
It took longer than it should to get our meal. The waiter didn't offer an apology, but once it arrived it was good.
I chose this restaurant as I was looking for vegan options. Surprisingly they had all vegan food and pretty good selection . Very friendly staff
Honestly, when my partner and I go out to eat, we are generally disappointed. We go out maybe once every few months now and prefer to cook at home---this has especially been the case since we went vegan. We have come to terms with the fact that we are harsh critics and prefer cooking we can do at home. We found ourselves in the cities for a doctor's appointment, and decided we would try another place with a dedicated vegan menu (we tried a different one the last time we were in the Twin Cities, and were unimpressed). We were absolutely floored by how good this place was. Our server handled our large order perfectly despite it getting busy shortly after we got there. We ordered roughly half the menu to split, and absolutely everything was made perfectly. They also have an impressive list of mocktails, which were also delicious. I am so glad this place exists; it seems like every other vegan place tries too hard to recreate standard American dishes, whereas the Fig+Farro just makes good, vegan food. Highly, highly recommend the lasagna and the "something herbal" mocktail.
I am thrilled to have found a place I can write such an ecstatic review for. If you are looking for a vegan place to get something that isn't just a dressed-up veggie burger or wheat "ckik'n" patty, etc. but are looking for a nice, sit-down restaurant with thoughtfully prepared dishes that happen to be vegan, this is your place.
For the price point the food was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this eatery.
Creative menu. Educating people about the impact of a plant-based diet. Very pleased with the service - the waiter was exceptionally attentive. Also very pleased with our menu selections. The ambience is nice and we enjoyed a little walk on the mall after dinner. We’ll definitely be back! I want to try the lasagna.
The Ceasar Salad was all kale even though I asked the server beforehand and she said it wasn't. The pizza was to come with roasted broccoli and red pepper. There were so few veggies on the pizza that I was eating mostly bread. Very disappointing since I am a vegetarian. My husband asked if the jambalaya was spicy and the server said it wasn't. It was! So after all that we decided not to order to dessert and we went to Sebastian Joes and had great ice cream. That was the highlight of our meal.
The Beyond Meat patty melt was incredible- better than any burger I’ve ever had.
The best vegan restaurant in Minneapolis! All plant-based creations are absolutely wonderful and the mission to spread the word about the connection to the livestock industry and climate change is outstanding.
