Fresh food in a very out of the way little place. This is where the locals eat. The food was freshly prepared, but not as tasty as we expected from a local neighborhood restaurant. The chicken soup, served in a huge bowl, was the best part of the meal ... hearty and very delicious. Enchiladas and Carne Asada were okay, but not great. Green salsa was excellent. The ambiance is pretty much non existent in this little street-side restaurant.
The portions here are generous, but the prices are so low it's hard not to overorder. The tamales and tacos are fantastic, as is the homemade salsa. We liked the guacamole, but I'm pretty sure it has milk in it (beware if you're lactose-intolerant). The shrimp fajitas have great shrimp, but the veggies in it seemed like a random assortment of frozen vegetables (green beans, peas, carrots, broccoli). Overall, I'd go back.
