Second time here. First was memorable and impressive- second time just the opposite. Service was inattentive. 25 mins to get drinks once ordered. Waiter rarely checked in with us. Some food was great: Caesar salad, meatballs, filet. Others were average- gnocchi way to salty to eat; fried potatoes tasted very vinegary. Ribeye for two way overpriced for the quality. Table for six was tight, and middle persons had uneven area for their plates, where two tables were pushed together. We were celebrating our daughter’s bday- they asked if we were celebrating anything special and we shared that. But never acknowledged during our time there. We were on outdoor patio, and requested heater to be turned on- they were reluctant due to adjacent table. They finally did only to turn it off 5 mins later without conversing with us. Sadly we raved about this restaurant to our family guests and it didn’t come close to meeting our expectations.

Fía has always been one of my favorite spots in LA. I was so disappointed with my most recent meal though, and I learned that they hired a different chef. The food is not the same.

Disappointed and Misled on Easter Brunch We made a reservation at Fia in Santa Monica through OpenTable for their advertised Easter Garden Brunch at $67, which was supposed to include pastries, an entrée, and bottomless drinks. However, when we arrived, we were told that this offer was no longer available. The staff mentioned that many others had made the same reservation, but the restaurant “didn’t want to bother” calling to let anyone know ahead of time. Instead, we were forced into a different Easter brunch option priced at $79, which only included pastries and an entrée — no bottomless drinks. To add that back in, it was an extra $24 and only had the option for mimosas no rose or margaritas like the brunch we had reserved for. We went last year for Easter brunch and the restaurant was much busier so it’s hard to understand the limited menu and menu cuts. If we had known this in advance, we absolutely would have canceled and gone elsewhere. There were plenty of amazing brunch options in LA that day, and it felt incredibly frustrating to be misled with no acknowledgment or effort from the restaurant to make it right. We left feeling like we had been scammed, and it’s disappointing that a restaurant with such a reputation would handle a holiday brunch this way. If you’re thinking of dining here, especially for a special occasion, think twice.

Great patio space, great vibes, excellent service that kept the drinks flowing, and delicious pastries and entrees! Loved the shrimp and grits, the wagyu breakfast burger was also incredible!! Had a wonderful brunch!

Celebrated my girlfriend ls birthday with Fia 3rd year in a row and we will be back next year! Cavateli, Shirt Rib, Brussels Sprouts, TIRAMISU are must try dishes.
