Lack of service, waited too long for our food. >2 hrs. Food tasting great, portion size was too small
Fia was outstanding in every way. One of my most favorite dining experiences ever
We did not get our food for over an hour. And we the first ones at the Resturant for brunch
Every part of the meal was delicious. Our waitress was great and made the experience awesome!
Great creative menu .. lovely outdoor seating. Staff was pleasant, helpful yet not intrusive . Great evening!
The food was great though it is on the $$$. Must try the grilled Spanish Octopus. Attentive staffs and atmosphere is one of the best.
When we arrived at the restaurant they put us at a table inside the empty restaurant , I asked to be moved outside, which they did accommodate. The food was exceptional. The service was ok, we had to wait for drinks and the menu was removed before asking all parties what they wanted to drink.
Beautiful setting, great food. Would highly recommend
One of my favorites!
Everything was so delicious and the ambiance is beautiful, I always love coming here.
Really delicious and neat bungalo setting. Great service. But really expensive. $20 cocktails and salads seems excessive unless you have a Michelin star or are overlooking the ocean.
This was a perfect place to have my birthday dinner! Food was amazing, staff was very helpful and friendly and drinks were top notch! I’ll be coming back!
Fantastic! Bria was amazing! Great food stunning patio and beautiful ambiance
Beautiful place, good vibes,delicious food
I will go beck again
Hostess’ were very rude to us. Told us we don’t have a reservation even though we did. Had to show confirmation of our open table reservation. Even then, after they sat us, they tried to move us TWICE by telling us the table we had was “contractually reserved for some very important people”. We refused to get up and asked to have the manager come over and he never did.
Even though our allergies were asked in the beginning of the night, and when we put in the order, we reiterated we cannot have pork, there was still bacon in our food. And it took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Terrible experience overall.
Everything was very good but very pricey
The server was nice but his service was badddd. We didn't get our bottomless mimosas in a timely manner, so we ended up with only 2 during our entire meal. I had to ask a passing busser to get them for us - it was so late. Condiments came at the tale end of the meal. For what we paid, it was ridiculous. The food itself was really good.
Really good food in a beautiful, cozy place. Love it
Food was a mixed bag - the lasagna was flavorless and it wasn’t because of the Impossible meat. Too many ingredients and too little flavor. The beef Wellington was good but the sides where bland. Worst was the sommelier who was given the assignment of opening our expensive wine but didn’t mutter a word
Too bad because the place is nice, especially the outdoor area
Amazing food, absolutely outstanding food.
amazing. Loved it!!!
Excellent service and amazing food
I’ve eaten here many times and always loved it. Last night the food was not quite up to par, especially scallops and cavatelli.
Our waitress, Laura, was excellent. However making my reservation over the phone was met with a very icy person. We ended up reserving our table on line, informed them that it was my girlfriend's bday - no acknowledgement. We were placed adjacent to the kitchen, quite loud and busy but the worst part was the smell. The aroma of the kitchen's rubber mats, (if you've ever worked in a restaurant you know what i mean) lingered heavily the entire evening. My girlfriend had the scallops which were quite good. I had the pasta alla nerano, it was ok, nothing to rave about, heavy on the olive oil and we shared the appetizer of squash blossoms stuffed with shrimp. Those were a huge disappointment - breaded and either deep fried or pan fried which was not in their description, I think. If I'd ordered that on santa monica per, I'd expect it served up that way. You really couldn't tell it was a squash blossom. The place is attractive, but again, the smell, where we were sitting - horrendous. It was a big birthday disappointment.
The hostess has the most arrogant attitude. Ruined the evening. The manager doesn’t care. They all act like they are doing you a huge favor. Never going back
place is A1. best dining experience of my life.
There's a certain pomposity about these high end foodie emporiums. When I entered the restaurant, a well-dressed couple ahead of me was being informed by the hostess that they could not bring two small balloons into the restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. They would have to leave the balloons (festooned with Happy Birthday salutations) in their car. They left and then returned sans the balloons. I expressed my surprise to the hostess and she informed me it is the restaurant's policy (so as to avoid disturbing other guests at the closely placed tables). I advised her that the restaurant's policy is offensive. This side distraction ruined the entire dining experience for me. The food, however, is very good, although not extraordinary. The appetizers are laughably tiny and served with a precious presentation.
The staff bent over backwards to honor my requests. Wish the menu offered one or two real vegan options as several friends with whom I'd like to enjoy Fia are vegan.
Outstanding newish comer on the Santa Monica scene. Finest ambience, food, presentation, and service. wine list limited and expensive, but some fine choices. A bit expensive overall, but worth it! Our special occasion birthday was honored and celebrated by staff.
Our party of 10 had a fantastic brunch this weekend. The baked goods were fabulous .. the chicken, shrimp, steak, eggs.. everything we had was superb. Lovely service and super private room. The manager, Rick, was extraordinarily helpful.. so nice! All the staff were pleasant. I rarely write reviews .. these folks deserve it and the food warrants top rating. Can’t wait to go back.
Omfg! It's was the best food hands down. Best restaurant in LA hands dow. Wowowowowwo
Lovely setting. Good good. All the servers were very nice but not around nor available. Had to ask for plates to be cleared, had to ask for dessert menu, had to ask for more water. Very long time for food to come out. The person who took the orders very sweet but we could never see nor find her
Good, service, and ambiance are exceptional. Highly recommend.
music was too loud, tho. they did move us to a private room, which was very much appreciated.
the server constantly asked if our food was "fantastic" or "wonderful" or "terrific."
I hate such leading questions and as I was hosting the meal, and didn't want to cast a pall on the evening, I simply said it was fine. In reality, had I been on my own or with my family, I would have said that the pasta with truffles didn't taste like truffles, the sommelier didn't know his wines, and that it was difficult to get the server or som. to stay in the room long enough to take our order.
I would not recommend this restaurant.
Some of the best food I’ve had in LA! The bartender and servers have great recommendations. Definitely on the pricey side but worth it!
Fia is a gem in Santa Monica. Our party of 4 chose to sit at a table in the outside patio and it was delightful. All of our cocktails were delicious, as well as all of our food with the exception of the broccoli rabe side. That was a bit underwhelming, especially as compared to the cauliflower side which was tremendous. Fia is not inexpensive but we knew that going in; it ended up costing about $150 per person. Make sure to book well in advance. Street parking on a Friday evening was easy. Great for people watching and for special occasions. Definitely will keep this on our list!
Perfect night to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Food was terrific and the ambiance made for a great evening out in Santa Monica.
Food was great, but extremely overpriced. Service was poor… it took forever to receive our food and drinks, we had to ask twice for a water refill until we had to give the water bottle to a random waiter to fill up, we requested a patio table weeks in advance and sat inside, and overall people just weren’t very nice. overall, the experience was just okay
I made a reservation for my mom’s birthday and requested outdoor. Upon arriving, they wanted to seat us inside and told us they couldn’t accommodate outdoor. We were willing to wait for the next outdoor table, but they said it would be a 40 min wait and could wait at the bar. The bar was packed and they had us stand in the alleyway and were very inhospitable. I noticed that a table was leaving and asked if we could have the table and with hesitation, we got the table. Upon sitting, our server was nice and communicative, but our food was slow to come out. Food was tasty but extremely overpriced. Overall, not a great experience and wish we went somewhere better for the celebration.
