   We were one of the 1st ones on that day so I can't really judge ambiance. There were three other tables that showed ul after we did but it was still overall quiet. However I suspect it does pop after certain time. The stuff was friendly the food was very good. It's so nice to have what taste like authentic haitian food with really spice and (not as much heat) but enough to taste the flavor. Meatballs on point. Sauce delicious. Plantain nice crisp. My husband had the fish and enjoyed it. The Ox-tail was good (three pieces at market price-so I think u have to figure that out on how much u love oxtail). I don't drink but hubby had a drink and he thought it was very good. I would most def come back. Would try other plates.

   Great food, excellent service, ambience was excellent, music perhaps a tad loud, but a great choice fir lunch before the ballet matinee.

   My first experience here a few weeks ago was much better. The food was excellent. I reordered the meatballs, and today they were overcooked and not as flavorful. The spaghetti tasted good, but it needed more sauce. Thankfully the oxtail was just as good as last time. We were given a menu with item prices different than what was on the bill. When we double checked the online menu, some of the prices were significantly marked up from what they were a few weeks ago, so be aware of that. Service today was slightly better than before, about a 7/10. Overall, I’d stop in again if I’m in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

   I attended the FETE for the first time, I reserved a “Hightop” seat but wasn’t sure if that where I was seated, as there’s no description of seat chart, there was another area of seating up a small flight of steps. The staff were very friendly. I will say the dress code on website indicated “Business casual”, however there were patrons entering wearing street clothes and sneakers. For a restaurant-lounge area in downtown Boston I was also surprised there was a security screener doing pat downs and using the security wand, this made me wonder if I’m in safe environment. I’m going to leave a separate note for the FETE restaurant itself regarding the food, but I do feel the pricing is based off its location rather than its quality.
