Rooted in the local farm-to-table movement — a place where seasonality and culinary tradition are celebrated in tandem.
One part Hawaii and one part Brooklyn. The atmosphere shares a brasserie feel with a laid-back island sensibility—a celebration and homage to all of our favorite things we enjoy eating and drinking.
Crafted with brick & reclaimed wood, our urban Hawaiian farmhouse features an open kitchen, lush plant wall, brick walls, and lots of natural light in a historic Chinatown building. The bar mixes classic and modern cocktails with artisanal flare with a well-curated wine list.

Great food, service, and location. The venue has an urban appeal and is quite a popular spot in Downtown Honolulu.
We loved the food and the cocktails were delicious. Would order everything again. Liked the outdoor seating option for COVID unfortunately along bus route so it is loud.
Service and drinks were great! Our bartender was amazing. The food was not very good. Fish was dry and the pasta was hard. I really think they had an off night.
I’d recommend sitting at the bar.
It was very interesting seating on the sidewalk for lunch as the foot traffic on Hotel St. is like no where else in the islands! I server was adorable! Food very good and the drink delightful!
A rare situation, Lunch at Fete. Unlike most restaurants on Oahu Fete is usually packed both inside and outside. Fete’s lunch menu is back to its prepandemic way. Lots to choose from. Their regular hamburger might be the best on Oahu. Freshly ground mix with a great texture( not too smooth) and an awesome taste. We also had the Korean Chicken Sandwich which is going to be my new go to special. Great coating, a truly assertive sauce on a great roll. Add a super dry French Rose and you have the best lunch on Oahu. Oh! A staff that has the true Aloha spirit.
Fête consistently delivers imaginative, innovative, ingenious cuisine. Chef Robynn combines French, Née American, and Hawaiian styles and flavors into her recipes. Outstanding!
Fete used to be really good, but we just went for Restaurant Week and it's really gone downhill. They served us burnt (I mean BLACK!) sourdough toast with our fete spreads. The worst part is they tried to hide it by placing the burnt side down!! Then they substituted our cannoli for 2 mini sugar doughnuts swimming in syrup...boo. I gave them 3 stars because their carbonara was ok.
Server was very energetic and knew the menu items well. She provided good recs and since she knew it was a special occasion she gave us a little ice cream to celebrate the bday along w our restaurant week desserts with a candle.
We went to Fete for their special tasting menu during "Food a Go Go Hawaii restaurant week." Hands down one of the best restaurants in Hawaii. Each dish, of the 3 courses, were extremely well done - visual presentation was stunning, amount for a tasting menu was generous, and the perfectly seasoned dishes were unforgettable. the starters -the Spread still lingers in my mind - home made sour dough toast with the most flavorful caponata - wow, I would go back for that dish! Salad was peppered with colorful radishes and so fresh. The carbonara entree was so perfect, esp because it was not heavy. dessert was like malasadas perfectly light and lightly sauced. Excellent meal with the best waitstaff, Josh. Knowledgable and personable and never pushy. Hats off the chef and for supporting local farmers.
Wonderful service. Great ambience. Fabulous food.
We enjoyed our dinner here! Our server was so nice and made great suggestions on the menu. Wish we ordered a dozen of the deviled eggs. Our table ate the basil ceasar salad, Chaz burger, twice fried chicken and hanger steak. No leftovers.
Serious flavors in a decidedly relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Drinks were on point. Would most definitely recommend.
Excellent all around! Celebrated a birthday at Fete. Will definitely be back.
Everything was amazing. Specials were very good. Incredible and well curated wine list. Hostess/ Maitre'd could have been nicer and maybe be more jovial.
Fete was nice, they were very accomodating. The bartender was fantastic. The food was good. Inside, it was very cold. Outside was alright.
This was an outstanding dinning experience! Bailey, Fête’s newest addition was very sweet and personable! Her suggestions were on point and her extensive knowledge of the menu was very helpful. Food was amazing as always. Cocktails and wine were delicious. Very happy as always!
It was awesome
Friendly service and excellent menu. Wide selection on the menu without going overboard. Fresh and local.
Wasn’t sure about this place but very happy we (3 adults and 2 kids seven and Uber) tried it. Really loved the food and the service was great!
Olive oil cake was amazing!
We went to Fete for a business lunch and had the grilled cheese sandwich, the Ono sandwich and the Korean chicken sandwich. As is usual for Fete, they did not disappoint in delivering unexpected tastes in what could have been just another good meal. Instead they surprise you with something listed on the menu as common and long-standing as a grilled cheese sandwich, and give you something that wish you could call another name because this is like no other grilled cheese sandwich that you have ever had before. Something that crispy and chewy and rich tasting at the same time should not be relegated as common a name as a grilled cheese sandwich. It’s like calling Tiger Woods a golfer or the Vatican a cathedral. They are, but they are in a class by itself and deserve their own pedestal.
You can never go wrong with the fresh fish special at Fete. Tonight, the chile rubbed mahi was one of the best fish dishes I have had. And sitting outside is fun and safe.
We had a wonderful meal dining-in with all the proper safety precautions. Mahalo for the fantastic service!! 🤙🏽
Brunello available by the glass. Delicious! Ciopino, house made bread and Ono club sandwich. I love this place.
Great service and amazing food. We loved the use of local produce.
The food here is consistently good and the staff is very friendly and efficient
Let me start by saying my group and I were here celebrating my wedding weekend, so a server would have to try hard in order to bring down our spirit. And try he did. As we were seated he came up to us very angrily about an empty cup- literally empty and aggressively reached over the table to throw it out. When our food came out, he dropped some of my onion rings, and just stated “i dropped some onion rings”, since I clearly saw him, and didn’t bother offering to replace it. The food here is good, but if you’re in Hawaii, there are PLENTY of places that offer good food and also kind hospitable service. This guy wasn’t even our waiter, and to note, our waitress was actually fine. She also seemed pretty annoyed by her coworkers general attitude. I definitely would not recommend this place to family or friends.
Hi! We have been wanting to try Fete! We had a lovely time at the restaurant, just a few small adjustments & it would have been a a different experience. We had a reservation at 6pm, but we were running a few minutes behind. We called & the hostess appreciated the call & said it would be okay. When we arrived (15 minutes late) we were told we could not sit outdoors since we were late. I really wanted to sit outdoors or in the vibe of the restaurant. We were taking upstairs to a cool-ish library area. Unfortunately, the idea of being moved so far away (which we were worried about immediately) affected our service. Our waitress said hello, but it took over 30 minutes to get drinks. More than that, she went on ( in great detail) about each of the 4 specials. It was only annoying because she had 4 tables she was doing that with. Way too time consuming for a waitstaff to explain 4 specials. It should be 1-2 “specials” period. About an hour into service, it all evened out. It was a nice dinner & lovely service the second hour. I think the library is just helping for the COVID regulations, but it needs service improvements. The food was delicious. We may attempt another visit & be on time!
Hopefully it will be a 10/10.
Our server was such a gem. She was very attentive to our needs and very informative on many selection. We had a wonderful dinner.
Outstanding mushroom salad and lamb entree. Friend said mahi was excellent. Robyn doesn't disappoint, consistently great results.
Covid actually helped to make restaurants enjoyable again. Less noise because we are spaced out. Clean. And service is great.
Great food as well as creative cocktails with very friendly and attentive services.
Excellent food and service. Sat outside, neighborhood is economically diverse including being on the bus route. Still a very pleasant experience
Wonderful food! Had the 2 seafood specials, mahi and red snapper. Beautiful presentation and amazing flavors. Highly recommend!
Service and food are really good. Great value as well especially compared to other Honolulu restaurants.
Amazing as usual. The mahi was cooked to perfection and the burger is my daughters go to.
Nice farm to table selections! I only eat in restaurants with sustainable food and this was a good one!
Good service and nice vibe. Really enjoyed appetizers but entrees were disappointing. Korean beef was very chewy and I had to leave half on the plate. My wife’s shrimp was also overdone. We were expecting better execution from this place especially since the chef was present in the kitchen. Would perhaps try again but wish it were better the first time.
A 77th b’day celebration. Cocktails, wine plus incredible food. As always! Fete had come to be our “go to” for celebrations if all kinds. Always have a great time, fantastic food with a superb wait staff! Robyn & Chuck, you really rock!
Overpriced and undercooked burger. Fries were separate. So, I paid about $20 for a meal that I could have gotten in Kalihi for $7 with better flavor. The ketchup was made by the restaurant and was not very pleasant. When I asked for salt for my fries, they brought kosher salt, which is pretty big and not ideal on French fries. They never brought my original drink order, and I just wrote it off. I had to continually ask for water to be refilled. Pretentious place and not worth the price.
