Hawaii Magazine Best New Restaurant Oahu 2017!
Rooted in the local farm-to-table movement — a place where seasonality and culinary tradition are celebrated in tandem.
One part Hawaii and one part Brooklyn. The atmosphere shares a brasserie feel with a laid-back island sensibility—a celebration and homage to all of our favorite things we enjoy eating and drinking.
Crafted with brick & reclaimed wood, our urban Hawaiian farmhouse features an open kitchen, lush plant wall, brick walls, and lots of natural light in a historic Chinatown building. The bar mixes classic and modern cocktails with artisanal flare with a well-curated wine list.

Kalbi too fatty to eat.... had to send back.
Twice cooked chicken should have been called twice burned. The neighborhood is extremely sketchy ....
On the bright side the waitress was fantastic.
One of the best restaurants in all of Hawaiian Islands, must go!
One of my all time Honolulu favorites- Fete is truly outstanding, from service, food, and all around good vibes. Never had a meal, or tried any dish here that was anything else that brilliant. A go to for all occasions.
Wonderful anniversary celebration at Fete. Staff made us feel really special.
I've been to Fete frequently, and I'm always impressed by the service.
Had a great experience at Fete! Food and drinks were both quite tasty... had the basil Caesar salad, best salad I’ve had on this trip (and I’ve had quite a few), we also had the cabornara, which was delicious! And thankfully we saved room for their desserts- the olive oil cake was moist, and their rocky road ice cream was very, very, very good!!
Would highly recommend... looking forward to trying their other dishes in the future!
The ambiance and food were great as well as the staff. It is always nice to have great service and Fete delivered.
Dined for lunch at the bar. Steak Caesar, lemon zucchini risotto, smoked ono club, Mexi Ahi and grilled baby carrots were all fantastic. Ezra at the bar was great!
great food and staff. best meal we had in Honolulu
Nestled in the more rustic area of Honolulu you feel almost shuttled to the 1950s entering Fete. You’ll be well received and treated with white glove service (minus the white gloves and formality). The drinks are top notch, and the barkeep knows a thing or two about settling the spirits. The starters are superb and different than what else you’ll find on the island. They do a fresh take on toast, cheese (gouda) and honey that makes one salivate writing a review. The carbonara was spot on with the right amount of spice and packed with flavor. The Korean Shortribs were cooked to perfection, but the ribs were a little short on meat and my selection was long on fat. Sides were so good they outshined the main dish!
WOW!😜amazing dinner, ate the Korean short ribs. The rice was so delicious. The staff made you feel like family. For the quality, prices are reasonable. Anytime of day, make sure you book in advance.
The Korean fried chicken sandwich was so yummy! And the house made rocky road was amazing. The whole staff was so friendly and accommodating
Reservations for two five days ahead. Only bar seating. That worked out well. Sitting next to each other was better for conversation. The acoustics are not optimum. Fabrice, the bartender, is terrific! The wait staff were also exceedingly accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed even with a full (pandemic size) house. Every table was taken and customers were being turned away w/o reservations. Service went smoothly. The unique quinoa and avocado appetizer and scallop salad were delicious. The only disappointment was the kalbi ribs. They were tough and un-chewable. Thus the loss of fourth star. A fifth star could be added - If that kalbi dish is perfect on the next visit.
They have a delightful and delicious cocktail menu. The ahi club sandwich and potato strings were delicious. The Fete spreads were so good with the homemade bread!!! My favorite restaurant with a Hawaiʻi and Brooklyn blended culture.
Love this place. So good.
Absolutely loved the cuisine and atmosphere. Very laid back, but with exceptional service. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Fete is great, we had a great meal. I ordered the white fish and it was delicious.
Everything was excellent, good specials. We ate in the kitchen which was spotless, good to see. Excellent wine list. Ono and fried chicken sandwich both excellent...Ono was perfectly cooked. Ice cream sorbet, excellent. Very unpretentious. Service was terrific.
Located in Chinatown fete is an energetic restaurant providing farm to table cuisine. Perfect for foodies if you like simple yet flavorful dishes. We ordered the basil Caesar salad which was divine! Sitting at the bar was fun. Thumbs up and I would definitely go back again!
So far our best meal (by far) on the islands! Food was outstanding, the cocktails were fantastic, and the wine list was truly impressive. Well worth needing an Uber/Lyft to get away from Waikiki
Excellent service and food. As usual, the burger was great and partner's prawns were highly rated. But fantastic server made our lunch.
First, don’t let them stick you in the library. Staff has to go up 3 flight of stairs each time you need something. Slows down service level to the point that after waiting 10 minutes after we finished our 2.5 hour dinner we walk down the stairs and paid the bill. Don’t order the beef, waitress said it needed to be cooked a certain way so it wouldn’t be so tough because it’s grass fed. Well that didn’t help, supper tough. I’m from Texas and we eat grass fed beef all the time and it’s never tough. Get a better quality meat and you won’t have to make excuses. I know it’s hard but making customers walk up 3 flights of steps and doing this to your wait staff creates a terrible experience for both.
Chuck and Robin run first class restaurant with delicious innovative and varied cuisine. Nightly specials always worth trying. Great service and cocktails served in a New York village atmosphere with old brick walls and wood floors.
GREAT food, excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Fete!
Great food, music and very accommodating staff!
Excellent service. Most foods were simply delicious but some were overly salty. Good drinks! Loved the Fete Shmear and Quinoa.
Food was great! There was something for everyone as some of our office staff members are vegetarian.
Excellent dining experience even with being outdoors in Chinatown at night. Clearly farm to table quality, with local ingredients shining, wonderful uku entree allowing the fish to stand out even with a corn coulee sauce. Special shout-out for an eclectic and well-paired wine list, which scours the globe, includes different white varietals, and acknowledges that rose wines and local food really do sing.
During our two weeks on the island, Fête was head and shoulders above the other restaurants. Best dinner meal of the trip.
Great place with awesome food, our party of 2 sat outside in the afternoon sun and it was quite splendid. The vehicle traffic wasn't very loud or disruptive, and there wasn't too much pedestrian traffic either. The service was great, wait staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and attributes of the various dishes. We would highly recommend to anyone seeking a delightful meal that is delicious and filling.
We had a wonderful dinner at Fête. Food and drinks had wonderful, innovative flavors. The service was outstanding as well.
The food was really tasty! I was worried that because this was more of an upscale place that portions would be tiny, but that wasn't the case. I got plenty of sourdough bread for my spreads. Two whole appetizers were enough to fill me up. Fête is also very accommodating to food allergies. Tip: Try to get indoor seating if you can. It's fairly warm outside until the sun sets, and (this isn't Fête's fault but it's a consideration) the local homeless population can occasionally be loud and distracting. Indoor/bar seating would probably be preferable.
We went because we saw Fete featured in Honolulu magazine in the "cheap eats" feature - specifically the Korean fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great - but so was everything else there, including the hip upscale ambiance and range of dishes (my wife particularly loved the chowder with corn and clams plus multiple ginger teas) and wines. Two thumbs up from us.
We started our lunch outside but moved in because of the homeless people, one of whom was naked. Inside was much better and the service was stellar!
Probably our tenth time here. It's one of those places that you keep coming back to. They make their own everything. From the soda syrup to the ice cream. Pastas are refreshingly different. They use locally sourced food.
Chef’s Panzanella Ono special was absolutely AMAZING! We shared the beef ravioli special as an app and that was super yummy too! Our server Josh made such great recommendations and made the entire experience so great! Thank you! We can’t wait to go back again!
We went to Fete for our 22nd anniversary dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious.
The food was excellent and the wait staff was top notch! Love this place!
Another perfect experience. Mexi Ahi, beef ravioli, twice fried chicken. All dynamite!
The steak that we ordered was very dry.
