Fantastic meal - awesome night with super service. Not cheap but excellent experience and really top shelf food and drinks. Will definitely be back!

Excellent fixed menu, superb service, and a great space.

The tasting menu exceeded our expectations. There were no choices or substitutions. And just as well! The portions of all five courses were very generous. The seared tuna, the mild tasting raw scallops, the saffron fish soup all deliciously spiced and very fresh. The wine pairing of uncommon French wines was perfectly welcome. A great place to enjoy a couple hours of food adventure. Thank you staff and cooks!

It was a really special occasion for us and our first evening out to a restaurant after Covid restrictions were lifted. The set menu with wine was impeccably paired and every dish was fantastic. Playlist even matched the Provence themed menus. One of the best meals we've had in Victoria hands down. So glad they are back open. Intimate, classy, not unaffordable and super staff. We will be back very soon!

Had an excellent dinner, our waitress was very friendly. The sauces and plating were incredible with wonderful details. Outstanding menu and lots of courses, it was hard to finish each course. The details in the dessert plating was to die for. Thank you to all the staff and we will definitely return.

A super lovely and perfect dinner out, even in the middle of a pandemic ❤️

Main issue was cold steak and frites.. sent it back, returned immediately with same plate of frites.. then steak returned. So slightly warmer steak and cold frites. Wanted medium rare and got a well done steak. Mentioned it and got an apology but no offer of a different steak or meal. And did not receive anything off the bill to compensate.

I always bring clients here and this was the first disappointing meal. I am not judging it by this one experience as I know they are much much better.

The mussels and clams were tasty. The entrees sounded delish, but I would love to see more GF options for the pure pescetarian. The server was lovely, but the service was a wee bit intrusive/handsy/intense. The space was cold, so I ate with my coat on. Please accept this review as constructive feedback. Overall, Ferris' has done a great job.

Great menu, for all courses. The changing fish entree is always amazing and desserts here are incredible. I have had 3 wonderful dinners here and I will look forward to my next opportunity to dine here.

Good good; good ambiance, good service; a very good experience

The food and service were excellent! The humboldt squid and the happy hour arancini balls are favourites.

Both appetizer and entree are too salty , maybe it’s for people who prefer strong favor.

Had an amazing date night this past weekend here. We ordered seafood ceasars and the whipped ricotta and bread to start then shared the bouillabaisse. Everything was absolutely fantastic from the food to the service and the ambiance. We will definitely be back!

Ordered Rockfish - a local fish which was prepared without flavour. The risotto was swimming in a thin water - it was barely edible. The server did ask me if I didn't like the risotto and then the manager came over and gave me 20% off the meal. I did eat all of the fish so felt that was a very fair consolation.

Our server did a great job. The food was good but our entrées didn’t live up to the description. Food was fresh and well prepared, but the salmon dish just lacked flavor for all of its richness.

They forgot our order and after waiting 45 minutes they got back to us and gave us a free dessert.

Great food and service. The squid dish is the best!

I loved the buck a shuck oysters. Wish they had a better wine on the happy hour even if it was $7 to $10 for a better wine as I was not about to drink the Screw it wine with the oysters, it was cheap but I never went there. The risotto balls need a bit more seasoning. We did end up with the cab blend for $10/5oz which was okay.

This meal was sensational from beginning to end. We had oysters (perfect) and the cripsy polenta and I nearly died and went to food heaven. Couldn't have asked for a better meal or experience

Excellent value happy hour 5:00 to 6;:00 if you like raw oysters as we do. Fixed price meal for two looked interesting but we ate the baked oysters instead'

In a word -delish! Great, cozy atmosphere and wonderful staff

The restaurant was very accommodating on New Years Eve when we had an extra person show up for a reservation for 8. The service was quite good and the one hiccup in the food was corrected quickly. All told, it was a very pleasant experience.

The food at Ferris Upstairs is imaginative, varied, tasty and artfully presented. Serving portions are just right. On the night we went, the service was personal and friendly, but the kitchen was busy and we waited quite a while for our apples and main course. The food was well worth the wait!

Good setting, nice vibes, but it happens they squirreled us in a poor setting. The food was slightly above average, service was good, pleasant staff. A solid 4, but their oysters were a particular disappointment.

Absolutely delicious food

This wasn't our first time at Ferris' Upstairs. That might explain why we choose to come back for a second time. I usually frequent the downstairs in between classes, but we reserve the upstairs of fancy date nights. The service is fast and the server understands your needs, especially when one of you can't make up their mind. Insert eye roll. The food is delicious, the oysters fresh and the atmosphere is great for dates, or large parties of a celebratory nature. Cheers!

Great spot, interesting menu variety with high quality ingredients; our server knew her stuff and was articulate and friendly. The locals were there in force for dozens of happy hour oysters! If you even think you like cauliflower try the warm cauliflower salad, it was wonderful. This is a happy restaurant, teamwork evident, we would definitely return next time in town.

Have been to this restaurant many times. However this time we had two servers who clearly were not interested and it appeared they wanted to be anywhere else. Typically the service here has been outstanding. Two young women serving us did not know much about the menu, or what was on our plates, it was actually quite painful at times and we were found literally staring open mouthed mouth to some of the responses. Super unimpressed. However, the food is five stars as usual.

The chicken liver mousse was disappointing: the consistency was grainy, rather than silky. Also, the red current gelée topping dominated the gentle flavour of the mousse. The mussels were excellent, as was the café Monte Cristo.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience. Thank you to the server and staff that night. They made our evening truly special.
