Ferraro's Restaurant & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant is extremely overrated. I was there on Monday evening, the place was almost empty. And I decided to sit at the bar. The service was very slow, nobody paid any attention to an additional client. Waiters were chatting amongst themselves or with other visitors. I was not even offered a glass of water! I ordered a lobster risotto. My risotto came al dente. If you tried undercooked rice before you would understand my feeling. And I decided to not take any risk to order a desert. There are a lot of great restaurant in Vegas, don’t waste your time and money for this place.
Went to celebrate a birthday dinner. However waiter seemed annoyed that we didn’t order an expensive bottle of wine. We did order drinks. Food arrived promptly, however waiter’s demeanor never improved. After we ordered coffee/tea and just prior to the bill being presented, he realized that our visit was to celebrate a birthday, he showed up at the table with a tiramisu desert with a candle. Too little, too late. Won’t bother returning to this restaurant on our next visit to Las Vegas. Too bad.
The place is not impressive from the outside, located to the east of the strip in a strip mall. However once inside the ambience is semi-formal, warm, comfortable and quiet enough for conversation. The wine list is impressive. Great Italian food and we had great service from our wait staff. It will be on our list to return to it next time we are in town.
We frequent Ferraro's often, and have for a few years. We have NEVER had a bad experience. The food, the ambiance, the staff, everything is just perfect. Whether you are a local as we are, or visiting from out of town, Ferraro's is a MUST. Gino and his family have made the experience the best it can be at their restaurant. Also Eric, the server, is probably one of the best servers in the business!!!
We felt like the Italian royalty from the moment we walked in and the maitre’d pulled the chair for us to sit down and placed the napkin on our lap. The service was fantastic. Walter, our waiter, was very helpful and extremely attentive, but never rushed us. We had our cocktails with our appetizer and then ordered our dinner. We shared the seafood pasta and the Dover sole and they were heavenly. I’ve never had better Dover sole and the presentation was a work of art. I wanted to take a picture but didn’t want to look like a silly tourist. Now I wish I had. The owner came over and introduced himself which was so nice. Walter’s co-workers were always there filling our water glasses, making sure everything was fine. A birthday tiramisu and cannoli with a candle came for dessert. It was perfect. In the background there was live music. The evening was a wonderful dining experience and we can’t wait to go back.
Even though we live in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the best Italian restaurant, we have been to. The food is outstanding , and well prepared. Gino, the owner, always comes by our table to say hello. Our server, Walter, is outstanding at attending to our needs. Always friendly and willing to make suggestions .Highly recommend him. They sell their own homemade marinara sauce, also called Sunday Sauce. Which is outstanding. You can buy the sauce, which comes is two sizes, We always buy the sauce and bring it home. Would highly recommend this restaurant, when you are in Las Vegas.
We had an early dinner in celebration of the restaurant's anniversary last Saturday. The four of us ordered from the anniversary menu. Service was quick; yet very friendly and spot on. Sadly the special menu was disappointing. The appetizer and salad that we ordered were both superb...best part of the meal. My husband and I ordered the veal "piccata" and the veal "marsala". Both preparations of the meat were tasty. HOWEVER, I found it very disheartening that the anniversary menu was less than expected. There was no pasta/starch or vegetable served with the meat. And, sadly, the dessert was minimal and tasted a bit aged (very small square of tiramisu coupled with a mini cannoli with very very hard shell). Had we known we would have preferred to order off the regular menu. Sadly, we will probably not return to this restaurant. We have enjoyed dining that this restaurant for several years; however, our last couple of experiences have been disappointing.
The Osso Buco was very good. Service was okay. Biggest complaint is the terrible pours for liquor and wine. She used measuring cups at the bar and MAYBE got a jigger and a half. Similar for the wine at the table. For the money spent i would have expected more.
We had a fantastic authentic Italian meal at Ferraros. From the service, to the wine, and the food! Amazing burrata, trippa, rabbit and Oso bucco, all reminded us of our amazing meals while traveling in Italy. It was all topped off by an unusual, and delicious pistachio dessert.... To die for! Ferraros will be a regular place we visit every time we come to Vegas.
Found Ferraro's on the internet in Vegas's top ten restaurants. Took a try and fell in love!! Everything about this restaurant was superb ... the food, ambiance, staff. It was a most enjoyable dining experience and well worth repeating on our next visit to Vegas. An absolute MUST!!
