   Warm welcome, quiet, friendly & chilled atmosphere. Each course was delicious. Great efficient staff.

   After reading a few negative reviews I went with an open mind and I wasn’t disappointed the place was lovely very warm and welcoming lovely table and great service even though the girl told us she was new her service was very good very attentive and helpful food arrived and it was fresh and hot even though the fish was cod ( not my favourite) it was very succulent and batter was crispy the only comment to improve would be the bread used for my daughters sandwich was just to thick other than that it was great very enjoyable and we will return

   The place has went down hill and changed there menu to a poor selection.

   Had been looking forward to visiting and had only heard good things from people who had been but probably won't be back unless service changes drastically. The first waiter tried to take our food order before a drinks order, when we asked if we could order drinks he wanted us to order food at the same time. Not a massive issue but just found it odd that he seemed to be in such a rush, given there was only 3 other tables in the restaurant and we had only been in for a matter of minutes. When the starters arrived the young man serving us asked us if the food he had was for our table, by literally saying "is this for here?" A few minutes later a female member of staff tried to bring our main courses out during the starters and seemed confused that we wouldn't want both dishes at the same time. When the main courses did arrive the young man server held out a dish and asked who it was for, when we asked him what it was he replied that he didn't know! Upon leaving the restaurant the staff were talking amongst themselves with their backs to us so there was no thank you or goodbye. The food was decent, really let down by the staff.

   Seems to have changed chef and food not good. Shame. It used to be so good

   I would not recommend Fenwicks due our experience. To arrive on a Sunday evening for a family birthday meal and find the restaurant had such limited choices. There was no fish, only one steak pie etc etc. I wish now we had gone elsewhere. We waited a ong time for four starters. The broth was served without a spoon. Starters were ok, more than can be said for the mains. After an exceedingly long wait.............One of the strangest steak pie meals ever served in a bowl. Tasteless Thai chicken curry. A pork stew where the pieces of meat were placed on top of some weird buterbean creation. Pasta that was totally overcooked. The only decent meal was a burger! We complained and 15 % was taken off the bill and we had free desserts and coffee. Will not be back until we hear that things have improved drastically

   Second visit to Fenwick 47 and a great meal again. Food was tasty and good value. Service was friendly and helpful.Parking was easy outside venue. Only complaint was with booking system. Easy to book on Open Table but needed to amend number of persons from 6 to 7 and the on-line system didn't seem to work as table was only set for 6. Also phoned and left message on voicemail 24 hours before visit. Tried phoning a few times and just got voicemail each time. Apart from that small hiccup - have already recommended venue to a friend and will definitely be back.

   Our first visit, food was delicious, excellent service, definitely be back.

    Lovely place to eat, food was fabulous staff attentive and price was good. Only minor downside is the menu was quite limited however the food we got was top notch and over all a pleasant experience.
