The is an average-to-below-average Italian place. Service leaves a lot to be desired, which could be overcome with stellar food, but rubbery calamari, bitter marinara, and out-of-the-box pasta do not a great Italian meal make. The ambiance is dark and dated. It isn't a quaint, historic experience as the owners tout, unless they mean that it was redone circa 1979. Again, bad service or bad food could be overcome with an amazing interior, but all together, this adds up to a recommendation to eat almost anywhere else.
The food was great and the portion size was big. The biggest surprise was when the bill came. We had a party of 8, 4 apps and drinks, and the bill was under $200. I do not know how you can beat that. We'll be going back there when we are in Hershey again.
As usual it was amazing. I must say I missed the warm Italian rolls. Rolls were ordinary poppyseed and cold.
The overall experience was good but the seating was crowded, dark and dingy.
Excellent food with a fabulous staff to support them. Every person from the hostess, to the waitress, to the people cleaning tables all went out of their way to make this an enjoyable dinner.Highly recommended. Even though this was our first visit, we will be returning again - an often!
We arrived early to have a pre-dinner cocktail. We found no room in the bar/lounge area. There was no area for waiting without be in the way of the wait staff. After being seated we tried to order a bottle of wine from a very limited wine menu. Our server then told us after some time that the bar was too busy and she would "eventually" get the wine. We then ordered our meal. Server appeared pre-occupied and not focused. Salad was delivered promptly but then magically entrees arrived almost immediately like some entrees might be pre-prepared. Had to ask for rolls. One entrée was not correct from what was ordered. Sausage was overcooked. Sauce had a burnt taste to it. One guest in our party did order dessert and said it was very good. After completing dinner and having to ask for check we waited 45 minutes. Then we were advised that the computer system was down and we would have to "wait until it came back up". After waiting longer with no communication from wait staff, we provided a credit card number and able to leave. Would not recommend this restaurant if you are going while an event is happening in Hershey at the theater, and if you expect food quality better than chain style food.
Service was EXCELLENT! The food was unlike any other Italian food I have had in the area. Very fresh and flavorful. Was a great place to start our evening before a show at the Hershey theater! Thank you so much
This was a great restaurant. Service was on point, appetizer was great, timing between courses was perfect. Dinner selections were amazing. We will definitely go there again.
We were part of a party of 12 people for dinner. The service was excellent. The food was served in a timely manner. My entree, Lasagna, was good, but I have had better. The stromboli was excellent. The wine list could have been more imaginative.
Overall, an enjoyable experience by all in our party.
Our party of four ordered four different items and we were all extremely happy with our meals. Our waitress was very friendly. We will definitely go back!
After we were seated we waited a long time for a waiter or waitress. When I finally asked a waiter at another table for a person he quickly just stepped in & provided excellent service! The penne was a little cold, something I've never experienced at feniccis before but the good was still delicious!
Amazing. Food was great!!
Wonderful service and delicious food. We had the crab dip appetizer, tortellini, and lasagna. All of the items were delicious. Signature cocktails did not disappoint.
Our meals were excellent. Service was top notch. I would highly recommend Fenicci's.
Pretty standard, would not recommend for a special occasion. This was our first time there and it looks like their menu probably hasn't changed since they have been open. While this is not always a bad thing, they could make some good changes to the dishes they have on the menu. Everything on the menu you could probably make better at home. It was overall okay, just nothing spectacular.
Great food, as always!
Not sure how it happened but I made a reservation via OpenTable but when we arrived at the restaurant they did not have it. They were very accommodating and we were seated promptly to a window table. Our server Erin was very friendly asked us if we had dined with them before. This was our first time so she told us the history of the restaurant as well as explained the menu items to us. The house dressing for the salad was delicious and we could tell it was house made. Our dinners arrived promptly and were very large in size. Overall, a great dining experience.
Everything was very satisfactory, except the baked potatoes. Both of ours were brown inside, one more than the other, which happens sometimes when potatoes are baked ahead and kept hot. I tasted both, and they were certainly edible even if they weren't appealing in appearance. We decided to eat them rather than return them to the kitchen.
We started eating at Fenicci’s in the late 1990s. Probably go there 40xs per yer(2x) this week. Medium priced venue. Something to eat for everybody. New specials frequently. Often never get past specials. Will be back in 2 weeks with business guests.
Had never been here before. Decided to give it a try after Hershey Theater. We were seated on arrival and our server came very shortly. We got drinks, an appetizer, salads and entrees. My daughter got a dessert to go. I would say that everything was delicious. Our only problem was figuring out where to park, but we found the free parking garage that’s only a half block away. Overall a wonderful dining experience
This was my second time at Fenicci’s and my mother’s first as a post theatre dinner. The service was great...our waitress was quick and very friendly. The food was fantastic. Best bruschetta I’ve ever had. I ordered the crab tortellini alfredo and my mother had the portobella crab...both were absolutely delicious.
I love the creativeness of the ravioli du jour, as well. My last time here it was shrimp scampi ravioli and it was so good that it’s the reason I chose Fenicci’s a second time.
We received prompt, friendly professional service. Everyone's meal was delicious. Seafood in particular was very fresh, well-seasoned, and with ample portions.
We had our grandson with us, and were in town for the Disney on Ice Show. The hostess was very courteous, and was prompt to get us to our seats. Our waitress, and I'm sorry I don't remember her name other than server # 208 from the Check # was absolutely fantastic! She immediately corrected a simple mistake from the kitchen, and interacted marvelously with our grandson Eli !!!! This was our fourth time being there and you can guarantee we will return many more times! Even got some refrigerator art for finishing all of my lasagna LOL !!!
The waiter was great! The crab dip appetizer was really good. However, the main course came way out to fast, which we both had their "chef's choice" lasagna. It was hot on the outside and cool on the inside, hardly any cheese, layers of noodles with nothing in between. I've had better lasagna at a family restaurant although the mushroom sauce was good. Our desserts, the tiramisu and the strawberry/chocolate/pistachio ice cream ball in a chocolate shell were delicious and their drink of the evening, "The King's Cup" was phenomenal. My friend had a little trouble with the wine she was served as the second glass did not taste like the first. She was told that it was a new bottle that was opened and that's probably why it tasted different. Now, she's a wine drinker and knows what she's tasting but the waiter insisted and then brought the manager over to confirm their case. So, she settled for what they had given her as she didn't want to argue. I do believe she was given a different brand of the cabernet she was drinking. So, I don't think we'll be going back there. Hershey has alot of great places to eat at!
We went with a sizeable family birthday gathering for our Granddaughter's 18th birthday. Made reservations, and table was ready exactly on time. Appetizers were excellent. The pork belly nachos were just wonderful. House wine was very good and plentiful. Italian entrees were very good. Service was excellent, especially for a larger group. That's the good stuff. On the other hand, based on my sample of one plate, STAY AWAY FROM THE SANDWICHES. I had an Italian "grinder" sandwich that was absolutely inedible. The meat tasted like it had been left open in the refrigerator for days - dry and bitter. The lettuce was spoiled, and covering it with melting cheese did nothing for it. All in all though, we had a most enjoyable evening. I would certainly recommend the place for almost any occasion. Again, the service was a highlight - really first-rate.
Overall, great experience! Excellent service - food arrived quickly, cooked perfectly and generous portions. We were all able to enjoy leftovers the following day. We will definitely be returning!
Often visit Fenicci's when attending a show or symphony at the Hershey Theatre. The food is always excellent and wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Either Phil, the owner, or Bill, the manager, will usually stop to chat and make sure everything is to your liking.
Great historic dining spot in Hershey! Locals love it, tourists are welcomed. Great nightly specials and great bar menu!
Easter Dinner, we eat here regularly but the service this evening was not up there par. The food was good and the ambiance is fine for a family meal. Great when the weather is nice and you can take advantage of the outdoor area.
Good service and great menu. Food was properly prepared and delivered in a very timely fashion.
Birthday dinner for my mom
We went here once because we heard very good things. The first time, the hostess was snide and we waited 20 after our drinks that never came and we decided to leave. This time was completely different and we are glad we have it another chance. Most excellent!! Great food, generous portion me and our server, Ben, was attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back
It was a great experience overall, my daughter had the Butcher's block pasta, it was great and the aged ribaye was juicy and delicious, highly recommend trying it. Service was great, make sure you have a reservation if your going during busy days/hours.
The Menu selections are really good, something for everyone. The quality of the food is superb and the service was awesome. It is not cheap, but the value is definitely there for the price. We were seated right away at our reservation time and everything came out of the kitchen in good time and was all great, The Pastas, Risotto, Seafood all were first class. Portions really generous as well. you will not be disappointed with this restaurant!
Very good experience, Staff outstanding will return for future meals
Dee Dee was an amazing server and the food was phenomenal!
Food was OK. Maybe onslaught of after Hershey theatre. Meatballs were delicious; fresh veal was tough.
Food was excellent, but service was extremely slow. I would have expected slow service at dinner time, but our reservation was at 2:45 pm. We didn't finish & get out check until 5:10 pm.
The food was great! Was very crowded and loud. Overall I would recommend.
