Fenicci's of Hershey Ratings and Reviews
Had a 5pm reservation for 4; we were seated promptly. Waited 15 minutes for waitress to take the food orders. Waited another 45 minutes for the meal to be served. Restaurant was extremely busy, many patrons were complaining about the length of the wait time for their orders.
I’m all about first impressions and when we first arrived through the door we were ignored by the hostess. She did not acknowledge us at all and continued to speak with a waitress. For some reason they didn’t have our reservation but were able to seat us. We were placed in a kid filled section. The charcuterie board was too expensive for what we got on it. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but I don’t think we will be returning.
We were surprised and disappointed. The pizza was very good but we also ordered wedding soup and we were disappointed. It was salty, we had no meatballs in the soup and no vegetables were to be found. I’ve eaten here for close to 50 years and I believe they’ve changed the recipe. The half carafe of wine we ordered was overpriced. We’ll come back because it is a good place to eat and we love their pizza.
Went up to the area visiting a reindeer who was in from TX. I found this restaurant on Opentable and I liked the menu and reviews were good. I have to say that this was an excellent choice. We met great people at the bar. The bartenders were knowledgeable and made awesome drinks. Dinner was fabulous. Had Chicken piccata and mussels which were amazing.
I would go again for sure. Wish it weren't so far away from Philadelphia
We were seated right away despite being a little early for our reservation. Our waiter greeted us promptly and brought us our drinks before taking our order. When our food came we were amazed at the portion sizes - they were HUGE! Needless to say, we went home with another full meal which wasn’t a bad thing. Prices were good and so was the service. Lighting was a little dim and parking was limited on the street.
It was our first time here! Our waitress was super nice. The food was great! I was surprised by how packed it was! My husband and I each got a different pasta dish, both dishes made with their fresh homemade noodles! Yummmm! I was very impressed. The service was quick, and good, and the food was excellent! We will definitely be making another trip out there to eat at Fenicci’s again!
This is a good place to go for Italian food; prices are reasonable, portions are generous and the food is definitely good enough to make this a recurring location for pasta, pizza and bolis! The bar is nice, but small and gets cramped if it's busy. The ambiance is flexible so it is nice for a casual night out, a first date, or a special occasion like an anniversary.
We went on New Year's Eve. They graciously accommodated us arriving early for the reservation. The appetizer and dessert was outstanding. The meal itself was good, but not great. We received very good service even with the extremely busy conditions. Wine list could use improvement on variety as it was limited. All in all I would go back.
Fenicci's is our go to restaurant. We have been here for many New Year's Eve dinners, and we have yet to be any but 100% pleased with everything. If you want more authentic Italian food, you better head to the homeland. You can't go wrong when you go to Fenicci's.
I grew up down the street from Fenicci’s but then it was called DeAngelis. My Uncle Charlie cooked there during the day and my dad, Ralph, at night. I had numerous family members work at DeAngelis. I was curious to see if the meatballs were as good as when I was a kid...I was not disappointed. My husband and I will be back again and bringing friends.
Even with a reservation was given a table in the bar entrance literally with a table moved around us and both bartenders bumping into my wife’s chair several times. Talk about rushed... entrees came 4 minutes after salad and appetizer which came out together. And to top it off, waitress brings check without ever asking if we wanted dessert.
Came for our annual holiday get together. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was attentive though a little disorganized. We found ourselves waiting longer than expected several times. We opted for wine and entrees without appetizers. As several of us wanted Pinot Gris, we went for the house bottle ... which was not a great bottle. Would have been better to paid up for the better wine. Entrees arrived in modest time. Didn't pay attention to all the meals, but heard good things about the crab cakes. I ordered the Tuscan Tuna special. The menu listed it at medium, but the server asked for my preference. So - great - if I have a choice I'd prefer it on the rare side of medium. What I got was closer to well. Flavor was good, but not my preferred temp. A few after dinner spiked coffees and desserts finished it off nicely. I'm sure we'll return again next year, if not sooner.
We went for lunch. The table for 6 had 4 visibly dirty chargers on it when we sat down. The server was very friendly but likely having a bad day or was un-prepared to work. We ordered a pizza and 1 entree. The server attempted to balance the pizza on both the pizza stand and a few water glasses. The outcome was unsurprising. The drink spilled on the table, my nephew, the chair, and the floor. Not that big a deal, but for the fact the server did a terrible clean up, even with assistance from us. Not sure what was going on with her coworkers, but no other staff assisted her. My nephew had a soaked chair, which we exchanged with another chair from an empty table. We alerted the server to the wet chair; however, she appeared unconcerned and nonplussed. The entree, "baked penne" was a massive bowl of watery pasta, some tasteless sauce and melted cheese, not at all baked as described. The pizza was very good.
That was the food and service.... the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was atrocious. The other tables in the restaurant were partially cleaned and were used for staging while serving other guests. The slow service and the uncleared tables were perplexing considering the restaurant was not busy. The plates were dirty; the table cloth filthy, with various old and recent stains; and the outdated restrooms were in need of a deep clean and a health department inspection. Toilet paper was all over the floor and there weren't any paper towels. The lack of paper towels was a bit a problem for the woman who was getting sick.
I could go on but my phone's battery is about to die.
The food is great—with ample portions. The service was not up to the standard of the food. We did not have sufficient place settings at our table and our server seemed put out by our requests to have enough settings for our table. Any request of the server seemed to annoy her, e.g. sweetener for iced tea.
