Felly Bistro On Pass
Overall great food and service. Lamb shank was superb!
Excellent salmon and dessert - empanada with apple and ice cream. Delicious!
Our dinner at Felly's was wonderful in all respects. Our waiter Jack was outstanding, the food was excellent, freshly prepared and very tasty. It was nice to see Felipe come out of the kitchen to bring our plates & his wife Kelly (hence the Felly name combo) work the room to make sure all was right. The Beef Wellington special was amazing as was the paella, stocked with seafood & crumbled chorizo sausage. This is a very nice neighborhood byob. It will not be our only visit.
An excellent restaurant with great food and service.
We ran across this place after visiting a friend. We forgot it was a BYO - but we managed to get a bottle of wine a few blocks away. The food was good and the service was as well. I's go back if I was in the area.
We love Felly. It’s become our “don’t feel like cooking” neighborhood go to:) Very friendly staff and great food!
Nice chef owned BYOB in Queen village, Love the mussels and the grilled octopus, amazing onion soup perfect mix of onions and cheese. Excellent vegan dishes, the quinoa stuff squash is outstanding also loved the miso salmon. Varied menu offering salads, entrees and sandwiches, the empanadas are not to be missed.
Delicious food with options for many, including vegan and gluten free.
Love this chef owned BYOB Food is outstanding staff is friendly Delicious miso Salmon with soba noodles, the grill octopus was perfect tender and succulent with s nice salad. Love the mussels and the empanadas. Deserts are made on premises, the chef’s wife and co-owner is a Johnson & Wales trained pastry chef.
So good. Amazing service. And more amazing food.
I want to love this cute neighborhood place.. the food is decent but not consistent.
Really interesting food. Highlights were the squash soup, empandas and dessert. The prix fixe menu is a real deal. Service was great. I would suggest a little lighter on the salt in some dishes..otherwise everything was very good. A neighborhood gem.
Exec Ellen’s food and service. Great little BYOB in the neighborhood! Highly recommend!
A real neighborhood gem and a new destination for those visiting Queen Village. We have been twice and each visit has been wonderful. The octopus appetizer is perfectly tender and their house salad dressing is light, with a hint of spice which is unexpected and delicious! We’ve enjoyed the miso salmon, the roast chicken risotto and during our last visit the special brussel sprouts with bacon! Our daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese and make sure you save room for dessert!! Do yourself a favor and come here with your favorite wine!
Excellent food, friendly staff. Intensely flavored gazpacho, tender chicken breast in a lovely sauce, perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp with a delightfully tasty mound of veggies, glazed salmon that was moist and flavorful, and three wonderful desserts. This is our second visit and we will be back many times. It’s a neighborhood gem.
I enjoyed another terrific meal at Felly just yesterday. The service was attentive (Jack treats us very well), the food was hot and quick to arrive and the atmosphere was welcoming. The restaurant is always pretty quiet and when I’m there, which is multiple days a week, there is light easy-listening music playing in the background. The menu itself is pretty diverse with several different starter, salad and entree options. There are daily specials too - yesterday I had the surf n’ turf, YUM! I for one find large menus with tons of choices off-putting so Felly does it just right. Also, the chef owner is open to modifications so if you’d like something slightly tweaked then just ask. There may be a charge for doing so but in my experience it’s negligible. In short, it’s an amazing spot and I know the owners strive to ensure every patron has a positive and memorable experience when dining at Felly. Do yourself the favor and make a reservation - you won’t be sorry that you did.
Lovely neighborhood restaurant with great ambience. The menu has a good selection and the quality was excellent. Worth the walk from Point Breeze!
Poor service, food, value. $27 for a meager shrimp and scallop entree. 3rd entree arrived 15 minutes after other 2 entrees. Hamburger was ordered rare - it arrived very well done. Waiter disappeared. Head waiter gave us 10% off our next visit. The burger should have been taken off the bill. Needless to say, there will not be a next visit. Very poor PR for a new restaurant. We left the restaurant angry and completely ripped off.
We had heard great things about Felly and looked forward to eating there. We were not disappointed. My husband raved about his Felly salad. I loved my watermelon gazpacho. All of our selections, including dessert, were very good. The prices are reasonable. Our waiter Ted was accommodating and pleasant. I have been to a few of the newer restaurants that have opened in the Queen Village area. I would rate FELLY at the top of that overall very good list.
Sweet neighborhood BYO. The place exudes friendliness. The menu is varied enough with platter and sandwich entrees. Vegetarians will do fine here. A new Local favorite for us:)
Excellent neighborhood restaurant. Food was excellent, service was above-average, and the vibe was really, really nice. I recommend Felly's for any occasion.
Felt is brand new and still has some things to figure out. The French toast muffin and the French fries were outstanding. The berry and yogurt bowl had few berries and almost no yogurt. The frittata was nice but lacked flavor as did the fish and chips. The restaurant is lovely and has potential.
Came here for my birthday dinner, food and service were outstanding!
Outstanding food. Chef is phenomenal as is his wife the dessert creator. Loved it will be back soon.
Such an enjoyable experience. I was able to relax and enjoy myself thoroughly. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Everything on the menu was enticing. And everything we ordered was outstanding. Great dining experience. Highly recommend.
Food came out a little slow. But our sever was great and the food was yummy
Here is my "subjective review". I call it "subjective" because we all have different food tastes and preferences and economic situations. (We do not eat spicy foods and prefer BYOBs because we can choose from our own wine selection). With that said:
We made reservations for 7pm for last night (Saturday) - Felipe (the chef owner) has done no advertising and so it's still an undiscovered gem IMHO). When we entered there was no air circulation but as soon as we requested to the "hostess" that it needed air, it was turned on and the temperature was perfect. Felipe had repainted the walls and it looked nice. The building owner put in sound damping panels on the ceiling to allow for conversation and this seems to have helped a lot. (It was always a hard noisy space, even with just a few tables. )
Our server (one of two last night) was Ted, (the other is Jack) who apparently worked with Felipe in a restaurant in Bordentown. He is personable and described the specials in detail. Felly is named for Felipe and his wife Kelly
Our wine was opened and water - tap water - was brought. The menu is really wide ranging. Yes, there is a steak (mid $20s) but also a burger ($15) so it fills a wide range of prices. We started by sharing one of the two salads ($7 each), the one with arugula, blue cheese, slivered almonds and some other things. It was delicious - I'd post more by OT limits the number of words. JUST go before the word gets out!
My third visit in less than one month. Brought friends for their first visit and they were impressed. I loved my chicken risotto. My beet salad was a little less exciting but good. Service was good. They were busier than my first two visits and they maintained the attentive service. I hope the neighbors will try it and support them in their inaugural year.
Unfortunately, we were one of only two tables on a Tuesday evening.
The service was excellent, the food very tasty.
We live in the neighborhood and will be back.
Love Felly. We were just having an early Fri night dinner. We ordered the burger and the salmon burger. Both were amazing and individual in their own right. I had the salmon burger and it is a pure delight. The combination of flavors and textures were unique and beautiful. The crispy Asian slaw was so fresh and crunchy. The creaminess of the avocado complimented the tomato pickled onion. The bun was sturdy enough to hold it all together. It was served with a salad and the dressing was a creamy and spicy red pepper sauce that was delicious and fresh.
The Felly Burger was fabulous, fresh ground beef served on a robust bun with smoked bacon, gruyere, balsamic leek jam and arugula. It came with truffle fries.
We shared the special salad as an appetizer and it was amazing. Heirloom tomatoes, watermelon, peach and blue cheese. The combination was surprisingly divine. The blue cheese and peach together was a new flavor profile for us.
The service was amazing as we had the head waiter, Ted. He offered us desserts made by owner Kelly, but we were fully satiated and did not have room.
Felly is a combination of the owners names. Felipe the chef and Kelly the pastry chef.
I took off a star because I was walking to the restaurant. The East Passyunk address on the website is hard to find, because it is on a junction with Catharine and 5th which is very easy to find.
I look forward to many more delicious meals at Felly.
We had a very positive experience dining at Felly for the first time. Very friendly service from start to finish, and the food was very good across the board. Our favorite portions of the meal were the spicy squash soup, beef carpaccio, chicken in a white bean truffle broth, and a blackberry sorbet. The menu is diverse, and the setting appeals to a wide variety of diners, which is perfect for the neighborhood. We will return.
Very impressed with Felly Bistro. Our server Jack was friendly but not intrusive, the atmosphere comfortable but a little hip, the wide range of food delicious. BYO which I always prefer. Definitely going back!
Great find! The food was excellent, and the head waiter, Ted, guided us thru a great meal. We even met the chef. It is a BYO so don’t forget the wine, but they take cards so no need to bring cash.
Loved the Octopus starter. Also recommend the chicken - a cassolet (not the press chicken on the online menu). The shrimp and scampi was delicious!
Fresh, tasty, large portions. First review I ever did but I was that impressed
Nice dinner at a new neighborhood BYO. There were three of us for dinner. We started with the two appetizer specials: iberico ham with peaches, and watermelon salad. Both were very tasty, although I’d say the salad was more tomatoes than watermelon.
For entrees, I had the risotto (very good), my partner had the chicken breast which he loved and our daughter had a burger which she loved. We also shared the truffle fries. Our daughter also got (plain) fries with the burger, and when we asked if they could add the truffle flavor to her fries, then accommodated us which was super nice.
Delicious cheesecake made by owner Kelly for dessert.
My one little negative was that they cleared plates very quickly. We like to relax while we are eating and in between courses.
Definitely will be back!
The ambiance in this new spot hits high notes, but for the most part the food is under seasoned and the wait staff are friendly (a bit too much) and very inexperienced. The best dishes were an octopus starter that was beautifully cooked, and a pulled pork empanada sporting a light and crispy dough. A vanilla bean aioli was the star of a cod dish that otherwise fell flat. Prices are very reasonable. Dinner for 2 ( 5 dishes) with drinks was $60, including tip. With a bit more attention to seasoning of both food and staff, Felly could be a hit.
Definitely go to Felly! Each dish was outstanding and the service was wonderful. We started with the empanadas, had the risotto and salmon for entrees, and finished with the coconut cheesecake. Everything was delicious and carefully made.
A new restaurant with great food , great Seville, and a great decor to match. Owned a husband wife team, this new place is going to be a big hit once the word gets out. Parking is a problem - but worth the trouble.
Went for the live jazz brunch on father’s days and did not know what to expect as they were fairly new. The food was beyond expectations. I would go back for the crab cakes any day. My parents are still raving. We cannot wait to go again! Great addition to the neighborhood!
