Beautiful, wonderful restaurant. Amazing steaks but my favorite was the chicken liver pate with very good toasted bread. The service was very good.

Poor service and unimpressive food are the reasons for the poor review. My first dining experience at Feller was about a month after they opened and it was great. Something has changed and if they plan to stay in business they should take this review seriously!

Dinner menu is in 3 sections: First, Middle, Main (separate dessert menu). As I write this on a Sunday af, the dinner menu posted online is not the same as the dinner menu we were handed two nights ago on a Friday, so my comments may not be relevant to the choices you get. Our party of 2 had smoky deviled egg (1 egg cut in half, dotted with finely-chopped pickled beets) as a First, green spaetzle with roasted bone marrow (velvety, swathed in butter, extremely rich) as a Middle, and Tatanka (bison, parsley root puree, mushrooms in butter, huckleberry sauce) and Stringer Sorting (salmon, baby potatoes, maple syrup glaze) as Mains. The person eating the bison rolled her eyes in happiness, and is still talking about it 2 days later. The salmon was fine, but was a remarkably small portion of fish set on roasted small potatoes. One of us had three (!) glasses of rosé-colored, Slovenian pinot grigio, a very happy surprise; the other had a Manhattan cocktail, which was perfectly fine if unremarkable, served (as seems to be trendy everywhere these days) with a block of hand-chopped ice that filled much of the glass. The bartender was gregarious and informative (how I know the ice was hand-chopped). Portion sizes varied widely. I got one small deviled egg, but I saw bacon-wrapped dates with 4 on a plate and mushroom toasts with 4 thick slices of bread buried in mounds of topping. Everything we ate or saw others eating was rich, seemingly the chef's 'there's nothing that can't be improved with butter or fat' approach. It was fun to indulge, but we'll eat lower on the food chain for a couple of days to recover. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. There were plenty of servers available, all seemed happy to be working there. The service merited at least a 20% gratuity, in our opinion. One third of our bill was alcohol; next time - when we are not celebrating a birthday - we'll drink less.

The Feller is a lovely restaurant. We were a group of 12 and the restaurant was not busy, but we waited quite a while before offered coffee or beverages - probably 15 minutes. They also asked me if there was a special occasion, which I had indicated in my online reservation that it was a family birthday. They asked me the same question at the table, but they didn't offer anything. I was wondering why this question is asked if they don't acknowledge it? The ham on the eggs benedict was one very thin slice and the biscuits were very small. The food was very good, but portions not appropriate for the price. Our wait staff was very pleasant, but the service was slower than we have experienced at other restaurants. I am not sure we will go back.

Autumn was awesome! Love this place. The girls had the salmon and say it was the best they've ever had. The guys went with the Game. One of had the Venison Pasta special and the other had the Feller burger, both were worth writing home about and returning for. Great ambiance, great location, great everything! We'll be back.

We went to Feller’s for my birthday. Food was enjoyed by the entire family. We had the fritters and deviled eggs as starters. Lots of flavor. Our daughter had the burger which was right up there with the top burgers we’ve had. My husband loved his pot pie and my wild boar dish was served on top a delicious sauce. We’ll be back soon- with friends!

We will return. The food was delicious; I highly recommend the bison stroganoff, the salmon, and the Harvest salad. Desserts were great too, and the coffee!

Pretty nice new place in Stillwater. A bit pricey, but the food was good. Not a lot of choice and it is a rather unique menu of items. I loved my Bisson Tenderloin selection, but the jury is out on the Salmon between my wife and granddaughter. All in all it was enjoyable evening out.

Since you have opened there hasnt been too many weeks we didnt make it there for dinner...sometimes even twice a week! Love having the Fellar in our town. Love the food, the wine, all the wait staff, and the atmosphere! One of my favorite places for dinner in Stillwater.

Feller’s is a great addition to the date night or friend get together scene. The cocktails were wonderful and they had a nice selection of beers. The ambiance is suitable for either a large group or a more cozy table. Service is friendly and the food was very good.

This is our third visit to Feller. This time, we stayed at the Lorah Hotel for Valentine's Day and had dinner at Feller, sitting at the chef's counter. We did our usual--we meandered our way down the menu, sharing dishes along the way. We always have the Forager's Crostini because it's fabulous. We had the quail pot pie and the boar bacon wrapped dates. Very good. We had to order two entrees, because we wanted both their halibut special and the Feller burger. Ordered a great bottle of wine to go with it all. We'll be back!

Restaurant was cold and our seat got blasts of cold air everyone the door opened. Our server was very friendly but not as attentive as we would like. We waited a long time sometimes for him to reappear. Food was tasty.

The bison tenderloin was outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. Service was slow or non-existent (although they did comp our glasses of wine because they forgot to serve the bottle we ordered until we were almost finished with the meal). Servings we small and this was more of an issue due to the relatively high prices. With that said, I would absolutely go again and I would recommend to a friend.

We live in Stillwater and this was our first visit for Valentines Day. Waitress was awesome. Food was very good as well except our steaks were over cooked:( Taste and presentation was very good just a bit more well done than we'd asked for. No problem I'll make sure to emphasize a little more next time. This place i think will be a real asset to what's already a fantastic mix of very good restaurants in the downtown area of Stillwater. We'll definitely be back to try them out again soon!

We made a reservation with a note that we were celebrating a special occasion. There was no mention of the occasion by the staff. We were sat at the table closest to the door, on a cold evening. The server was awful. We felt rushed from the moment we were seated. There was no eye contact from the server and no effort to welcome us or care about our experience. She dropped a plate on the table while clearing the table which not only startled us, but the tables around us. There was no apology for doing so, only a comment on how difficult it was to pick up these plates. We were not asked if we wanted more wine, despite our glasses being empty. When it came time for dessert, we chose to leave and walk down the street to another restaurant. We will not return to this location - which was the location where we were married. Truly disappointing.

Terrific server, personable and knowledgeable of the restaurant fare. Food was tasty, gourmet even for lunch. Bartender was also very personable, and took the time to come to our table and ask us how we liked our wine. I’d definitely return.

Great vibe and layout, flavors were excellent - especially the bison stroganoff. Will be back again even though it is a 45 minute drive from the Western side of the Twin Cities. Worth the trip!!

Birthday dinner celebration with family! I have dietary restrictions and Chef Sam did an amazing job making sure my dinner met my restrictions. Food was fabulous! My husband and family members also loved their dishes. Great, warm, pleasant and cozy atmosphere with a great view. Service was friendly and great! I had the bison hanger steak, delicious 😋 My sister also had it and if she would of been at home she would of licked the plate. She loved the sauce on the bison. My brother-in-law had the brind pheasant breast , awesome 👏 Hubby had the bison stroganoff, excellent 👏Appatizers , group tried the Quail legs and fire baked cheese-amazing👏Wines 🍷affordable! Overall great experience!

We were disappointed with the atmosphere. It was not warm and cozy. The table we were seated at looked like it was made out of formica and had cheap looking chairs. It was not a very inviting approach to what is supposed to be a higher-end restaurant. There was an uncharge for premium spirits in a mixed drink. We have not encountered that before. How much extra can it cost for an ounce of liquor in an already expensive drink? The food was good and we were able to modify our choices to accommodate a vegan diet.

The food was excellent; every bite was blissful. The service was good not great. Our server didn't know much about the menu and admitted to not having tried all the dishes on the menu. Our cocktails before dinner were also excellent although they took a bit long to receive --we could plainly see the the bartender was texting instead of mixing. I realize that there were few diners a that time but that's not cool. Our menus should have been thrown away the evening before because one was water damaged and the other had an aioli stain. We shared the pheasant for our third plate but were not asked to split the portions or given additional plates. Otherwise---Outstanding place. Love the seating and the chairs. The light fixture in the foyer needs dusting--sorry but I am a retired restaurant manager.

We loved our four course experience at Feller. Our waitress, Brianna brought joy to our dinner experience. Food was very flavorful and unique. Gorgeous building design and decor for a beautiful dinner environment. Recommend you try it out!

Terrible experience. 48 dollar steaks were over cooked and grisly. The salmon was dry. The burger was mediocre and the fries were dry. We brought out of town guests expecting a great experience. We were embarrassed. We were also seated right next to a big table and a party where a band was playing. It was so loud we were yelling to here each other. Overall all terrible experience. Will not return.

Fantastic experience from food to ambiance. Only suggest would be to improve the valet service. May need to add someone during busy times and not leave customers looking for someone to get their car because the valet is on break.

My husband and I recently ate dinner at Feller. Wow! We haven’t enjoyed a meal as much in a long time. Very creative appetizers and delicious pheasant breast for our main. So yummy we complemented the chef. We will be back soon!

This restaurant is definitely doing a few things right and still needs to work on a few other things. Pancakes are terrible. The French toast is awesome! The bloody Mary’s are pretty bad but the martinis are great. They definitely need more gluten-free options. The breakfast sausage is amazing but they could improve their bacon.
