My sister and I brought our parents to Felix while they were in LA visiting us. Our parents are born and raised in Italy, and throughly enjoyed Chef Evan Funke’s authentic Italian menu offerings. They particularly loved the squash blossoms, which are a traditional dish our grandmother prepared for us growing up. It was such a treat to watch Chef Evan preparing handmade pastas throughout our meal, as our table had a front row seat to his pasta making room situated in front of the dining area.

Pizza and squash blossoms only tasted like salt. The $45 bolognese was uneatable. Bill was $180 for those 3 dishes, and 2 drinks.

Was an excellent experience from our table, the service, and of course the food. Picked Felix to impress my mom on her first visit to CA and it didn’t disappoint. Would come back again in a heartbeat.

This wasn’t our first time here, but after having tried Funke, Funke is beyond compare. If you have the chance, choose Funke any day. The staff at Felix were mostly arrogant and a bit rude for this level of restaurant while we had the opposite experience at Funke. While the food is pretty good, the food was not as good as Funke. Won’t be going back again.

What a gorgeous evening we had. Vicky took such great care of us, and both of the pasta dishes we ordered, different takes on Orecchiette,were smack-on-the-table good! The broccolini paired so beautifully and we were sure we'd have leftovers because the portions were so generous. Alas, we did not - it was all too delicious to leave a morsel behind. The meal ended with a perfect pear tarte and gelato to celebrate my husbands' birthday. Thanks and we will return for another special occasion soon. Wendy and Garth Hammers

Food was good, not great....also for $29 a drink they should not charge you an extra $1 for a large ice cube. Bill was around $500 with tip and saw an extra charge on the bill for $4 for 4 large ice cubes...

Service and food were excellent. Our server Kimberley couldn’t have been more nice or helpful. She contributed to the experience. Food and wine superb, with the somm picking just the right Brunello. Kudos to everyone for a lovely dinner. We will be back.

I’d been wanting to try Felix for over a year and finally had the chance. I’d say the appetizers and pizza were pretty good. The two pastas we got were way too hard. When we asked the server, he said this is the style. It felt like we were eating partially cooked pasta. You may have better luck ordering a thinner pasta - try the tagliatelle. Considering the fact this is a pasta forward restaurant, we will not be back.

My boyfriend and I had a pleasant experience at Felix Trattoria. The food was amazing. We got the arugula salad and the prawns with verde sauce for our appetizer which were equally delicious. For our entrees, we each got a pasta dish. I got the tagliatelle which was delicious. My boyfriend got mezze maniche alla gricia which he really enjoyed. The cocktails were also made well. We finished our night with the tiramisu which was nice and decadent. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Vicky was great waitress. Lively spot but not too loud reserved outdoor but table not ready and got indoor which was ok. Great flavor To the pizzas but a little soggy/floppy w the bottom crust. Squash blossoms and shrimp yummy apps. Rib eye cap some of the best steak ever had. Pear crostata delicious. Enjoyed red wine from sucky.

We enjoyed our visit but left a little disappointed. A couple notes on the food- we ordered the cacio e pepe and it was very undercooked, borderline crunchy. I understand the goal is to cook it al dente, but this was so undercooked that it was inedible. We left the majority on the plate and it was swiftly cleared without comment. It would have been nice to be checked-in with by the bussers and server, but everyone seemed too busy. We watched the table next to us eat the same pasta and you could just tell that the way the other diners twirled their noodles, theirs were cooked more than ours. We couldn’t twirl our noodles! They were too stiff! The pork chop was cooked very nicely, but it was covered in so much black currant jam that we couldn’t taste the pork, which seemed like a beautifully sourced and cooked piece of meat. We were waffling about telling our server we did not enjoy the pasta, but we didn’t feel it was a good time (did not want to disrupt a busy service).

Our server was wonderful and the food was very good. We felt the pace of our meal was rushed. There was not time in between courses to digest to be able to enjoy what was coming next. Once our appetizers were cleared the main course was in front of us. Also the restaurant was extremely cold!

I have never had a bad dish, service, or experience here. 11/10 recommended. Best Italian food in California no argument. Service is ridiculously amazing it adds the 5 out of your 4 star rating… aka 5/4 stars if I could give it!
