I don’t think anyone actually works here, but people wear Felix shirts and stand by the door looking like they have no idea what to do with their hands
Terrific classic French food - duck confit, cassoulet, foie gras terrine, frisee au lardons and basic wine list with some nice supple options just over $100. Lively crowd and friendly, super casual but proficient service.
It’s a nice place. For big groups since is a noisy place. Bathrooms aren’t as clean as other places I’ve been but nothing is perfect. I would come back.
Cute European restaurant. Food was decent although the mussels were great and were a substantial portion. We did find a hair in our food though. Service wasn’t bad but also wasn’t outstanding. Probably wouldn’t choose to go here again.
Felix is a typical French restaurant in B'way. I had a steak and my wife had a Mulee et Fritee. They were good. although my steak was not done medium rare as I had ordered it. We had a Merlot each and it was also good. The service was prompt but no greetings from the waiter. The price was reasonable for what we had. If you have anough time to go to several restaurants in NY, you may include this one.
Great location , bad food , old and dirty interior, needs some improvement to in line with trendy area .
Disappointed overall .
Honestly - one of the most authentic french bistros in NY - and I am french !
The pate and escagots are divine entrees, the onion soup is a classic -
Otherwise : try anything on the menu, you won't be disappointed!
Everything was excellent as usual
No se puede pagar con Visa!!!
I have eaten at this restaurant for over 20 years. I was shocked tonight to find that they only take AMEX and cash. They have an ATM in the bar. The food was good. Service okay. The fact that you cannot use Visa or MasterCard was ridiculous. It felt like a bit of a violation at the end as they should make it clear from the outset. Kind of ruined the night as the food is not that special
Although a smoke free environment it certainly smelled like legal and illegal smoking was occurring somewhere in or near the door. The food was fantastic and atmosphere was urban hip for a slightly older crowd. When it came to paying we were surprised to see that they only accepted cash or American Express. We both have an AmEx but it seems like a back door way of forcing the cash hand. Biggest observation it appears like a place for “regulars” as everyone that entered was known by the hostess or bartender.
First time eating at Felix and wow the food and service are fantastic. Highly recommend
The restaurant was closed when we came for our reservation!
Legendary experience. Had a great time.
Excellent food, the smoked salmon omelet and eggs Benedict were excellent. Service was excellent.
Wonderful warm welcome in spite of the cold weather. Superlative cassoulet. Great evening.
I love Felix! But had to wait over 1 hour for my table
Lovely food and service. Will be back! I truly enjoyed my diner.
Every part of this meal was good
Kind of a frat house feel
Very unfortunate experience. They only receive cash or Amex, my friends and I were intoxicated after our lunch there, service is terrible and everything is way too expensive. I will never go back.
They were not even open and ready to serve, despite my reservation. Their chef was nowhere to be found. Totally unprofessional and disappointing.
It's always fun an alive, pulsating with great energy....very good food, professional, friendly staff and the atmosphere is always chill, relaxed, energetic and always feel familiar.
It was for NYE. The food, service ...pretty much everything was amazing. The only problem was the music way too loud during the meal. Loved the music close to the countdown and after to dance but we couldn’t talk during the meal and that was not the best.
Overall it was as I expected, fun, loud, good vibes and decent food. Great place to be with friends.
A la hora que reserve estaba cerrado
While the location is good and the food was tasty, the wait service was horrible. Our waiter was rude with an attitude that we were an inconvenience. The music was so loud at lunchtime that we had to shout across the table. I will not be going back.
The food was good but the service was average at best. They also only accept American Express or cash for payment which was very strange to me and something to note obviously before you go there.
We dine at Felix every chance we get when visiting New York. The service is excellent and location perfect for your time in chic SOHO.
Two of our favorites are the mussels and salad nicoise
With going to.l, recommended for Sunday lunch with music and great people.
Love Felix!! We come here every year when we’re in town!!!
Authentic French brunch... everything was delicious... escargot, omelettes, French toast and croque madame... and café allongé. Waiter is from Nice... had a nice NY twist on classic French service! ;-)
This was interesting. I made reservations through Open Table for 10.45 on a Sunday. Why would that time be offered if the restaurant is closed? I stood outside in the rain for 15 minutes (got there at 10.35). At 10.50 I left and found another place to eat. Huge disappointment as I really like Felix food.
Fab-u-lous! This is a super special place where the Rose wine tastes like a special potion and and the experience feels like you have arrived on a magic carpet - and you are are not disappointed with the ‘magic carpet taxi driver’ for taking you there.
The service was perfectly attentive but not overbearing. The cassoulet, beef bourginon and steak frites were so perfectly cooked I ache thinking about it
It’s not a restaurant, it’s Felix!
The food might seem a little pricey but the food was awesome and worth the cost. I would recommend the Felix to anyone looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion.
My brother had set up reservations for us for Thanksgiving night, as we were in New York for our honeymoon. Honestly the food was mediocre at best and for as much as it cost was completely not worth it.
Service was even worse, from the time we sat to the time we left we received a small glass of diet coke. No offer for more nor was water even offered, although our server enjoyed some food and wine as we waited for him to return.
Would not reccomend this place for anything. Save your money and frustration go somewhere else.
A trip to New York is not complete without dinner at Felix. When you walk in you are truly made welcome, there is something on the menu for everyone and the service is very good.
