   This is our third time dining since the opening of Felina Steak and each visit has been excellent. The service, drinks, and food were all great. The meal was properly paced and our appetizer(calamari), pasta(ragu), and pizza(pepperoni) were all delicious. I would highly recommend a meal at Felina Steak - South Orange.

   Did not have a majority of items on the menu available on a Saturday evening by 8PM. The steaks they did have were overcooked significantly. Would never return

   We went there on a Saturday night with another couple. Our service was great and prompt. We had oysters (yum), Caesar salad (very meh), branzino, salmon and chicken Milanese which were all delicious. Our cosmos tasted like there wasn’t vodka in it and after sending back, they still were overpoweringly sweet. It was noisy and while the jazz musicians were talented, it only added to the loudness of the large venue. Better than a blasting speaker system though! Overall, I would recommend and hope they stay in business for a long time!

   Overall, our dinner at Felina was just fine - but not worth the cost. They’ve taken some strong liberties in pricing their average wine list. We ordered a $20 bottle of Zinfandel, yet for $18 I could’ve gotten a better bottle that Wine Library. They appear to be pricing their wines at 4 to 5x retail (when historically the multiplier should be 3X). Service was attentive but unskilled . We received our appetizers before our wine arrived which to me is a problem . We weren’t done our appetizers when our main meal came, which is also a problem. Dinner Plates were cleared too quickly (but I know that’s the trend as some people just hate to look at a near finished plate). We were in and out in 75 minutes, which is embarrassingly quick for a full meal. The evening just lacked any kind of real enjoyment. Upon reflection, I’m probably being way too generous with three stars.

   I ate at the previous iteration of Village Hall. I did not have good experiences back then. This time it was very good on all levels.

   Beautiful restaurant, great food, and great service. It was my friend’s birthday and they brought him a beautiful chocolate mousse with a Happy Birthday message. It’s been a very long time since I’ve left a restaurant feeling this delighted.

    We had a wonderful dining experience @ Felina Steak last night. It was our first visit since this restaurant opened in South Orange. We had a delicious meal, excellent service & terrific drinks….. we will certainly be back to this restaurant & recommend it to everyone! ❤️
