Felidia Ratings and Reviews
I had my birthday party in one of the private rooms last year and returned for a more intimate dinner this year. Both experiences were really positive. I’m a huge fan of Lidia’s. This restaurant is one of the best in NY. I recommend doing the tasting menu when you go. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We went for lunch during NYC restaurant week. The food was fine but the preparation not special. If you want special, you have to order from the regular menu. There is a prix fixe lunch, slightly more expensive than the restaurant week price, which is available all the time and includes entrees that are terrific.
Our server was very good and the surroundings very pleasant.
Good experience! Very good service, food showed creativity! Very tasty! Nice portions. We weren't rushed in anyway. That's the way I like to eat. I hate when the wait staff brings out plate after plate without a breather. I like to enjoy a bottle of wine!
The only negative feedback I can give is the wine list is very extensive and only a hand full of wines under $100. Plenty of really good wines available that don't break the bank.
We had a wonderful experience as always. I did make a note on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but when we ordered dessert there was no candle in the order which surprised me. I would have expected a detail like that not to be overlooked at such a fine dining restaurant, especially one I have been to several times.
Restaurant has nice décor. The service were not attentive, we had quite a wait to order for the food, and to get drink refills. We had to flag down different waiter each time we needed or wanted something even the waiter wasn't busy and he had time to chat with other customers.
Visited Felidia for dinner with a colleague on recommendation during my business trip. The place was very impressive. Lively ambience. Food was amazing and authentic, with great wine collection. The service was outstanding and waiters were extremely friendly and attentive. Will definitely recommend and return.
The restaurant is an expensive, upscale venue from which I would expect excellent food. Reviews were excellent and so I had high expectations. Unfortunately what I encountered was outlandishly overpriced lackluster food. I was also surprised by how loud the restaurant was. Outside of that, the service was excellent with everyone from the maitre d’ to the wait staff doing their best to make the experience enjoyable.
Although Felidia was a bit of a walk from public transportation (the weather was inclement), it was worth the trip. The food was excellent, service attentive without being obtrusive, and my friend and I could converse without shouting (a first for this Restaurant Week). The restaurant always has 2 prix fixe lunches which are slightly more than RW, but still a good value considering the quality and preparation of the food. Will definitely go back.
Pricey but OMG goooood!! WE opted for the Italian tasting menu which is a huge amount of food. Each diner chooses his appetizer and entrée, the table chooses two pastas to share, and then there's dessert. Rating for service would have been a 5 but there was some delay in the return of the wine steward after we had settled on a bottle of wine based on what we had chosen for entrees. Great but expensive spot!
I was very impressed by how attentive and friendly everyone was for a busy upper East side restaurant. There were no arrogant airs in any member of the staff. And of course, the food was superb! Had the grilled octopus and carpaccio for starters, and the ossobuco and bass for dinner. My husband liked the bass, and my ossobuco was to die for! We had a lovely time overall for a last minute reservation on a Friday night! Impressive!
From the moment of arrival to our departure this was a 5 Star experience. The food was incredible but it was matched by the level of service from all of the staff, especially Hassan and Pepito and the young person from Montenegro.
To top off a fabulous evening, which was marking Rita's 70th Birthday and our 46th wedding anniversary, Lidia was there that evening and took the time to have a lovely chat with Rita.
We highly recommend Felidia's!!!!
