Felidia Ratings and Reviews
three of us,each had the " Italian Dinner" which was
choice of appetizer and entree and then two pastas for the table followed by dessert and coffee.
I wint go into detail on each part of the service except to say you will wind up with a wonderful meal, a full belly and a surprisingly robust dessert to end your meal.
the service was impeccable and each of the staff were on top of thier game without being overbearing.
Great place for a date, a business meal or a family night out.
Fegatini and capesante were good, but the main courses and dessert were terrible. The dish labeled as veal seemed to consist of nothing but portobello mushrooms in a brown slop and the so-called calves liver seemed to consist of tasteless, presumable, liver, in a similar slop. The affogato, which is supposed to be a coffee drink or soupy coffee dessert had not so much as a trace of coffee and the panna cotta seemed to consist mainly of gelatin, with some milk, and, maybe, some, possibly artificial, vanilla flavor.
I would have talked to a waiter about this if I could have found one.
The food and wine were excellent. After the amuse bouche and our appetizer (liver pate in two forms), the main courses were far too filling. Of course the advantage of this was that we had a meal and a half to take home with us for a second dinner. The service was excellent, the waiting staff friendly and polite. and the restaurant itself was lovely and, even when nearly filled, reasonably quiet. It was our first time there, but we'll certainly go back.
Have patronized almost all of Lydia's Family of Restaurants in NYC, and like all of them this, her flagship site did not disappoint. It was everything I thought it would be. We brought European guests there and having eaten in Italy many times, they were just as pleased with their meals and recommended wines as we were.
Was hard to choose one dish so we are looking forward to dining at her Pittsburgh restaurant during our upcoming Christmas vacation.
As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed at the front door. Our table was ready for us and the service of the staff was extremely attentive. The food was exceptional as it always is and the assistance with choosing a Brunello di Montalcino was helpful. This is always my go to spot either with friends, business colleagues or just my wife and myself.
Great place for the money as well.
Felicia for 15 + years has been a favorite restaurant of ours for so many occasions. We have in the past enjoyed their enthusiastic food and wine driven professionals, guiding us through so many lovely and exquisite memorable meals. This last evening with our friends as guests proved to be an evening of uninterested bystanders acting and failing as wait staff and overly brutish service that bordered on the ridiculous. I think it is time for us to 'move on"... as it appears most of their staff has already done.
We always enjoy the food and service and the ambience at Felidia. It's a bit pricy for dinner so this time we went there for lunch to celebrate my colleagues' birthdays. Wanted to try their monthly special "Pasta Tasting" course but they only allowed us to order it for the entire table so we did normal lunch course. Great octopus antipasto, tasty pasta bolognaise, and loved tiramisu. Still a bit pricy but worth paying
