Would love to return here when they aren’t serving a prix fixe menu. The tiny bit of pasta we were served was wonderful, but the other courses left a lot to be desired. Our mistake for not verifying if they would have their regular menu, but we were really disappointed to spend over $400 on a meal and only really enjoy one course.
It is bad experience, the waitress used mid finger to point the food, that was really rude. And they did not even know the ingredient of one of the main dishes. Bedsides, the food and ambiance is good.
Absolutely outstanding service. Attentive, timely, friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating toward my girlfriends gluten allergy and even brought her gluten free bread.
Excellent food all around. Great service. I had the Tripe and then the Liver. Great place to go for foods like this.
Always a wonderful experience in every way. Every year for 36......always special. Thank you to all
The meal was wonderful - lived up to the hype. The veal app was extraordinary.
I try and get to Felidia whenever we are in the City. This trip, I had three friends of my daughter with me and they loved the food and the exceptional service. The Sommelier was wonderful with both the selection of our wines and her integrity when she ( and I ) felt that one bottled had corked. Try the pear ravioli!
One of my BEST experiences ever! Had dinner with friends and we were put in a small room overlooking the main restaurant. Like a private party with friends. All of the service professionals were attentive and gracious. The food is superb. Such a variety of options and everything was delicious. I highly recommend it.
We loved the room, the friendly and courteous service and, of course, the food and wine. The pear and pecorino ravioli were sublime, as was the calves liver and polenta, and the seared tuna. The wine list tended toward the high end but we had a bottle of Etna red that was superb at $90. For us it was an expensive meal, and a rare treat. The dessert sampler was not up to the rest of the meal. All three were overly creamy and bland. The deconstructed cannoli was nice but the butternut squash tiramisu was rich and non-descript. The panna cotta , likewise, seemed mainly heavy whipped cream when it should be delicate and lighter. A fruit dessert would have lent some variety and texture to the plate, as would something with really dark chocolate. The little bag of cookies we were given at the end were yummy! And the espresso was very good.
Amazing service! Made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The dishes were spectacular. We just didn’t love one dessert but the rest was delicious! Thank you!
Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Food was delicious , service excellent.
The food was fantastic and great service!!!
We had a wonderful birthday party for my friend.
One of the finest dining experiences I have ever enjoyed. Every dish on the chefs tasting menu was delicious and unique. The most flavorful delicate pasta I have ever eaten. The venison cooked to perfection. And desserts that were fun, creative, and a perfect cap on a special evening. Hope to return soon.
Food, service and ambiance were perfect for our team lunch today. We look forward to returning again soon!
Impeccable service
I had the lamb shank special which was barely luke warm and shockingly dry. It was underwhelming. The banana sundae dessert was quite good. In general I was very disappointed with the food. The sommelier was great, and the service was also top notch. But I went there for the food, which was not great.
I first went to Felidia's right after it opened in the early 1980's. Despite Lydia now having a world-wide reputation and a truly diverse product line, her restaurant is meticulous in every detail as if she were still overseeing the kitchen and coming out to greet the customers. Spectacular!!
Never disappoints!
Best chicken livers ever. Great friendly atmosphere
Meeting with friends who haven’t been together in a long while
Excellent!! Every time I go it’s amazing
Great food. Great staff. Tight space where we were seated but would go back in s minute. Delucious!
Absolutely an amazing experience! I cannot believe how many gluten free options they had, the gluten free pasta was fresh and tasted just like regular pasta! They have us gluten free bread at the table and even had an amazing gluten free dessert. I am vegetarian and gluten free so my choices are so limited, I didn’t feel like an after thought at all. The other 3 guests had just as amazing of an experience.
We had a fabulous evening. Service was excellent as was the food. Very pricey so won’t be frequenters. Remember to ask for tap water if you don’t want to pay $9 per bottle!
I was so looking forward to eating here....Lidia is my mentor for true Italian cooking. We cook I. The same way. Unfortunately our food was never coming we watched people come in get seated get served and leave. Still not sure what happen, they kept giving us complimentary items to pick on, also gave us a complimentary glass of wine, our food did finally arrive, it was delicious, but lunch should not take 3+hours. No reason for delay was given, every time we asked they gave us another complimentary item...Disappointed to say the least
Wonderful food and service with a menu that invites you to want to try everything.
Italian price fix meal was outstanding. I only wish the portions had been smaller since i couldn"t finish the meal
Delicious food and great ambiance.
Never disappoints. Impeccable pastas and mains. Still standing after all these years!
First time there. Had high expectations and they were all met. The service, food all excellent. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and personable. Great experience. Will definitely go again
Lunch was a major disappointment .. this was very surprising and I am hoping it was just an off day
We celebrate our anniversary here every year. This year, the date fell during Restaurant week. We had a wonderful lunch, with attention paid to the event by various well-wishing staff, including a complementary anniversary dessert with a candle. We chose rigatoni Amatriciana and salmon "pastrami" for starters and branzino and sliced brisket as mains. All dishes were delicious, though the meat entree portion was quite small. Excellent house wine and dessert were extra (the dessert, tiramizucca, was big enough for two or more to share). My only grumble was $5.75 for an espresso. But overall, a superb experience due to the combination of food, atmosphere and service.
Didn’t bother giving us dip with our bread until we asked for dip. Gave us someone else’s check and credit card in the middle of our meal. Forgot to bring one dessert until reminded after a long wait. In asking questions the waiter was very condescending and generally indifferent to providing service. We have not gotten such poor attitude at Felidia before and we have been there many times. Very disappointed.
Overpriced and too stuffy an atmosphere. Have had much better meals at a fraction of the cost.
We arrived on a Sunday evening during restaurant week. We had a great meal but the restaurant did not provide restaurant week pricing for dinner on Sunday evenings. The restaurant was listed as participating in restaurant week on Open Table which means s a $ 42 Prix Fix dinner. The restaurant was providing a lunch Prix Fix menu but not for dinner at least on Sundays. The devil is in the details. There was a wide range of choices on the menu and we were pleased with the duck and the seared tuna. The restaurant was busy but we were able to have a conversation with no background noise. We will look forward to going here again.
Awful service. The hostess and the waiter were rude, dismissive and inattentive - and we are locals not tourists. WOW have not experienced bad service at a restaurant of this caliber before. Shame because the food is still outstanding after all these years. Won’t rush to go back after the sour puss faces I had to put up with this evening
Some would say I eat for a living. The service and attention were beyond excellent. The food, well not awesome. Flavors were okay and temperatures perfect. It was a great experience personally but not good enough for entertaining.
Exceptionally prepared and unique food. Waitstaff are knowledgeable, polite and helpful. Our favorite restaurant in New York City.
This is what a neighborhood Italian restaurant should be. Pasta and wine were excellent and great ambiance and service.
Our birthday dinner started with a celebratory Prosecco and ended with the most delicious almond cookies and butternut squash Madelines on a happy birthday decorated plate. Cacio de Pere was spectacular. Crudo de Manzo was the best thing the birthday girl had ever eaten. Mains were noteworthy as was everything we tried. Staff accommodated special diets seamlessly.
