Wow! My parents had been to Felidia’s years ago and told us if we ever got to NYC we must try it. Well, Lidia and her crew didn’t disappoint. Our pappardelle pasta with duck and mushroom ragu was delicious to say the least. We ordered one of the specials which was the chicken “a matone”. It was cooked to perfection and the roasted carrots and potatoes were very tasty with the added sauce we were given to pour over everything. The captain and wait staff were phenomenal and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening right down to the gelato and cookies. Beautiful experience...we’ll be back someday.

Over the years their food and service - for old style - and wonderfully prepared and served Italian has remained wonderful. Shawna, sommelier, surprised us by recommending a superb pinot noir...icing on the cake.

It was my first time at the restaurant, I had the minestrone de pesce it was great, the chicken liver pate was also very good, my husband had the tuna, a real hit but I had the pappardelle with duck ragout and found it to be heavy for my taste.

A noticeable decline in service. Senior staff and duty managers also need to be more assertive in dealing with disruptive diners. A table of six ruined the evening for most other diners with their excessive noise. Despite virtually all other patrons in the upstairs room being clearly annoyed, staff did absolutely nothing to ask them to lower the volume.

Food and service are fantastic. I rated down the ambiance because both times I’ve been there they’ve sat us at a badly located table when others are available. I think we look respectable and certainly spend enough, so I don’t know why the maitre di treats us so badly.
