First a little surprised by B rating in window. It seems construction next door has affected kitchen health.
Branzino was good but not great. Beet salad was nit particularly impressive; the spring vegetables were not fresh.
Spinach was ordered to come with branzino and never arrived.
We love this restaurant and everytime we are in New York try to visit.
This time the table was too small, I know that NY is particular on space, but this
particular table under any standard is way too small, it would be better not to have
one there at all. We could not concéntrate on our conversation, because the three ladies
next to us took over the noise factor, and they were not speaking too loud.
The food is great and everyone was very cordial and wonderful.
We will continue to visit and enjoy. Thank you.
Outstanding food and value!!! Pasta on par with Marea.
As always my 25th Time there and never disappoints. Good food and a good time. Maybe one day I will meet Lydia.
What a place. Beautiful romantic elegant Would come again
-food is exceptional, well worth money spent.
The whole experience is highly recommended
What a fabulous meal! Our evening at Felidia was perfect from start to finish. We enjoyed the Chef’s Tasting menu and all four of us loved every course. The staff was wonderful - very helpful and very friendly - and the food was delicious. I can’t wait to return!
Exquisite! Had the Chef’s Tasting Menu and it was wonderful!
The table next to us was very loud, something over which you have no control. Unfortunately it had an adverse impact on our meal.
As well my husband is a very slow eater and took unusually long to finish his first course. The waiters were hovering a bit and our second course was a bit overdone probably because of the delay. Perhaps the kitchen shouldn’t start the next course until the first is finished. The meal therefore seemed rushed.
Food and service were positively SUPERB!!!! The special grilled Prawn appetizer was delicious!! Prawns were moist, tender and seasoned to perfection. The special Filei pasta prepared with a slightly spicy rabbit ragu and carrots may just have been one of the most scrumptious, exquisite pastas I have ever eaten. The Busiati pasta dish, which consisted of hand rolled pasta served with roasted tomato sauce, zucchini and eggplant, was delectable - an excellent blending of textures and flavors.
Tilka, our server, was everything you want in a server - friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and attentive.
For a perfect ending to the evening, which was a celebration of my husband's birthday, a complimentary dish of cookies were served with a candle, birthday decorations on the plate plus a birthday card.
Great service - Somm was so helpful and passionate about guiding us through our courses.
We shared the Cacio E Pere ravioli as a starter--excellent. Then we had the Busiati and the spinach Pappardelle. Both were very good. We each had a glass of wine recommended by the server. It was a very nice dinner.
Dining at Felidia was an amazing experience . Everything was perfect and the food was outstanding .
The service, food and ambience were outstanding. This is one of the best restaurants in the US. It came highly recommended to us in Seattle from friends in NYC. The seafood is excellent as we ordered Chef Fortunato’s suggestion (didn’t even look at the menu). The detail to customer satisfaction is extraordinary. We will definitely come back again
Another outstanding meal at one of the best restaurants in NYC. It never disappoints!!
Was a fan of this place the first time i went and still am 25 years later.
I absolutely live dining at Felidia! This was my first time I sat upstairs and it was too loud for me.
Mediocre at best and very overpriced-very overrated for avarage cuisine-
Still wonderful after all these years. There are many good Italian restaurants in the City but none of this quality with this value.
Always a delicious meal! The staff is attentive but does not hover and always does something to make us feel special. The food is amazing and there is always something interesting to try on the menu along with my absolute favorites.
The food was wonderful and the service was superb.
From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The staff were attentive, polite and very knowledgeable. The food was exquisite and the presentation beautiful. I enjoyed every bite profusely and can't wait to return.
The food is next level; everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned.
Drinks are expertly mixed.
Wonderful wine menu.
Service is beyond professional and attentive.
It goes in your mouth.
We had the chef’s tasting menu. I am a fan of chef’s tasting menu. Two appetizers - both delicious, two pastas - both delicious, selection of desserts - delicious. The entree was two thin pieces of beef with a piece of burrata on top, the same burrata that had been presented on an earlier salad. It was tasty but underwhelming for the lyrics. I would recommend rather than allowing the chef to select for you, choose the Italian family dinner where you get to decide yourself what you eat. I expect a chef’s tasting menu to present the heat of the best, and the entree served this go around did not represent that. Go a la carte and you will be happy.
We went to Felidia on the Italian restaurant week. The food was great, and the service was good too. The ambience is good but nothing special. Level of noise is low to moderate, comfortable to have a conversation during the dinner. The only thing I would complain is that, although it was the Italian restaurant week, the waiter didn’t say anything when we arrived or offered us the special menu. We had to ask for that.
The food was good but the pici pasta was bland. It is expensive and I don’t think worth the value outside of restaurant week.
The ravioli Calcio y Pepe was amazing
Unfortunately the 2nd & 3rd pastas
we’re served simultaneously
However our server Malek took excellent
care of us
We will return to have the ravioli again
This is a solid restaurant; well thought out menu, good value, expertly prepared Italian fare, with good portion size. The service was competent, if a bit formulaic; overall a fine lunch that I could recommend whole-heartedly.
We ate there Saturday evening and had an excellent deal with excellent service. Request a table downstairs as it is less noisy that the tables upstairs. Definitely a place worth to eat Italian food.
Enjoyed the Italian Restaurant week menu at Felidia’s! We went celebrating my father’s 70th birthday. Wine steward chose an excellent pairing with our array of dishes. Everything was great, but the white bean and pesto was especially refreshing and delicious. My lemon meringue was bright and lovely and the pistachio cookies they serve are a treasure.
Felidia is my special occasion restaurant and I always enjoy coming here!
Great food, great service, will be back for sure.
lovely food, very slow service especially since we were given a table on the upper floor (less attention, compounded with a large table next to us. the Maitre d apologized for the delays and offered an extra glass of wine. next time we will insist on a table downstairs
We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary and had an exceptional and memorable evening at Felidia. Service is outstanding and our courses were served timely and without delay. The restaurant was full of patrons but we were seated in a comfortable small division which adds to the intimacy. The pear/pecarino filled raviolis are unbelievable. Everyone of the staff was attentive and helpful and we thank them sincerely for the great dining experience.
I took my sister for her birthday. She was turning 60th and they made it even more special. I will definitely go back.
The staff was friendly yet professional and efficient. The foods was delicious, but the octopus was a bit chewy. It was rather pricey considering we had the price fixed menu. There was an $8.00 supplement per person for the octopus. So a two course lunch for two with one glass of wine and one dessert, came to $80.00 per per with tax and tip.
The food was excellent, and the service was great.
This was for a 40th anniversary. The staff went out of there way to make the occasion special. A fantastic dinning experience.
We experienced amazing service, outstanding food and would recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Bravo Lydia! You have a gem...
Food was very good. Service hit or miss.
When we arrived in front of the restaurant we noticed a NYC Board of Health grade of a B. Normally I would not dine at an establishment with a grade of a B, especially a high end place like this. We did try to find another restaurant but since it was Saturday night we could not find anything close by and decided to give it a try. The food and the service was exceptional and from what we could see the restaurant seemed clean. When I later checked out the NYC board of health website I saw why they received a B. With this in mind I will not be going back until the rating changes to an A.
