Felicia Suzanne's Ratings and Reviews
Food was excellent
Waiter not very attentive said he was bringing bread and never did
Ordered decaf coffee someone else brought it and luckily I said decaf was mine she said both were regular. He just asked her to bring coffee
Just didn't think he did justice to the food.
Duck and snapper great too greens very tasty
Great atmosphere. Great service. Steak cooked perfectly. Appetizers good. BBQ greens side dish was excellent. A couple of dishes maybe a bit over-salted, but overall, really good. Got a cheap pinot noir and it was not good - my fault, I guess, but I can find good, low-priced reds all day every day in the liquor store - restaurants should be able to do the same for us budget drinkers.
The restaurant might have been experiencing an off night, but the service was very slow. It took more than an hour after we (table of 2) ordered to receive our entrées. The wait staff was apologetic and noted that they were short staffed, after a number of tables around us started to make complaints.
Enjoyed our post marathon dinner at Felicia and Suzanne's! Sat at the bar around 45 minutes before our 7:00 reservation. Our server, Zach was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The chicken livers, potato dumplings, oysters and sweet potato casserole were all very good! Would definitely recommend!
Such yummy food- different and a great variety of tastes, but the service was below average and that does put a damper on a dining experience. We had an hour and a half before a musical at the Orpheum and told the server that. The main course was served 15 minutes before we had to leave- delicious but we had to eat quickly- I guess it's good thing we didn't want dessert. Also- there needs to be a list of wines by the glass- this is an upscale enough restaurant that being asked "red or white?" Is not appropriate. Also- out of Chambord- no kir royale. :-(
I have always heard people rave about FS so I have to say my expectations were REALLY high. Maybe that is why I was disappointed- it was good, but not great. I would describe it as solidly delicious food, but not unique or exquisite. The service was also good, but not over the top great. I had the shrimp and grits. I did like that it wasn’t greasy or too rich. I will probably go back.
Meal took around 2 full hours - we were lied to by the staff (our waiter Zach), and, rather than attempting to apologize or voluntarily comp any part of the meal - our waiter passed our check onto a "floor manager" (Seth - ostensibly, the bartender) who was similarly unapologetic for the meal's experience.
Nearly an hour after we sat down, and after only one of the two "deviled" egg(s) appetizers we ordered had come out, we were then notified that one of the items ordered was no longer available. Around thirty minutes after that, the order was brought out incorrectly.
The food was fantastic. The service was atrocious. Eventually we were given a 30% discount after a significant amount of enlivened conversation with a second "floor manager" - typically I would expect more courtesy and professionalism at a high quality establishment like F.S.'s, but this repeat customer won't be returning for a while.
We were in town for the St. Jude race and were fortunate to have Friday lunch at Felicia Suzanne's. Truly outstanding in every way, we started with the deviled eggs-incredible! The crab crepes were divine and the catfish was pronounced amazing by one of our party. Our waiter, Zak was attentive and engaging. Will make this an annual St Jude weekend tradition.
Went for Downtown Dining Week 2017. It was pretty good but was not endearing. Will try again though but perhaps not on such a busy night. Wait person comped our friends's wine as their first course was given to someone else. Shrimp and grits were good, not too salty.
I dined here with a friend for DDW17 and was pretty pleased with most of our experience. Our meal was so delicious! The service was a bit absent after the entree was delivered by a runner. I was done with my drink before it came and was unable to order another until more than halfway through my meal. I'll still try it again just to get more of the fried oyster app...yum!
The service was great. I had told them in the reservation that it was our anniversary, so the table was sprinkled with tiny hearts. The specialty cocktail (Moscow Mule with a local citrus vodka) was so good we had two. All of the food was creative and even better than the description. We had gnocchi (potato dumplings) in a delicious buttery sauce, and shrimp and grits. Both delicious. We had two different soups--gumbo and butternut squash. As with the entrees, one was spicy and the other was mild, and both well executed. While we waited for the onion tart appetizer (which takes 20 minutes we were told) the chef sent out a sample of catfish mousse in pastry shell. Who would have thought catfish could be made into a delicious taste like that. I never would have ordered it, but after I tasted it, I wanted more. Fortunately the tart came before I was able to overorder more food, because the tart was delicious. We got a dessert to go for our hotel, and they even put some plastic cutlery into the container, which was good because otherwise we would have been eating it by hand. Everything from start to finish was first class, right down to sending instructions for parking. I am looking forward to returning.
Felicia suzanne's is a decent place to grab lunch and dinner. I took my husband there on one of our weekly Friday night dates. We had a reservation at 8pm and we're seated immediately (not really sure why reservations were even necessary, as there was plenty of seating, but whatever). The waiter was nice but there were moments where he just disappeared for what seemed like a while in between getting our drinks and taking our orders. The food, for me, is alright. Their mac&cheese is to die for, but I'm not a 5 year old, and would like more than just a harty plate of mac&cheeese. Their portion sizes aren't what you'd expect for the price of the dishes. But, it's a smart move because it leaves patrons open to wanting a dessert. I also had a $75 gift card from my an employer as last year's Christmas gift ($75 can really go along way at lunch time at FS). Overall, FS is decent, and is a nice place to take a date if you have a gift card. Otherwise, I'd probably frequent a less expensive place that offers larger portions.
My wife and I had wanted to try Felicia Suzanne's for a long time. We were very pleased with the ease of booking a table via "open table." We found the restaurant has a lot of charm. The wait staff was knowledgeable, accomdating and friendly. The food was excellent and the ambience was good. We'll be back.
I have dined here on multiple occasions and usually very pleased. However, this visit was absolutely unsatisfying. First off we had reservations for four people for 11:45. Two of the party ordered crab crepes and the server came back to tell us that they only had one order left. After waiting almost 20 minutes she returned to say they were completely out. It took more than 10 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. The restaurant was also out of several other key things such as peach purée and licquor. The server seemed very unbothered and totally nonchalant to the slow delay in the delivery of our food, especially after having to make other selections since the crap crepes were out. Needless to say, two of the guest in the party were on their lunch time and had to get their food packed to go. When the server returned with the packed food, she sat the bag on the floor (gross ). What was supposed to be a beautiful birthday dining experience, turned into a disappointing disaster.
Our experience at Felicia Suzanne’s was a huge disappointment. Our waiter apologized about the terrible service saying a group of 75 took over the courtyard. It was clear that the main restaurant was severely understaffed as a result.
I can only imagine the chaos in the kitchen. The food was mediocre. Our appetizer took one hour to arrive!
I expect much better from a restaurant of this caliber.
It was a quiet Saturday night, as the big Arkansas football game was on, which was great for us. Waiters and staff were very attentive. We both had the red snapper, which was moist and delicious. My husband had the gumbo as an appetizer, which he loved. I had the Fried Green Tomatoes, which were nice. The remoulade sauce the tomatoes were served with had a nice kick. This restaurant was recommended to us, by our hotel desk clerk, and we were very pleased with our experience!
It had been a while since when had eaten at FSR and we were concerned about some of the comments about the level of service. I can gladly say that we found the service to be excellent. We arrived early and were seated promptly. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive. The food was fantastic as usual. The deviled eggs are still the best anywhere. We will be back soon.
The food was excellent. The service was awful. At every stage, just awful. We had a reservation but couldn't find anyone to help us when we entered on time. The bartender was too busy and there didn't appear to be any hostess. Eventually, after about 20 minutes, the bartender seated us. Then no one came. For 30 minutes. We asked, but it wasn't anyone's table. Eventually someone did come to "cover that table" and took our order 50 minutes after we arrived at the restaurant. They apologized because the restaurant was "very busy". There were about 8 people sitting on the patio and one couple sitting inside the restaurant. There were at least 15 open tables . But that person wasn't our waiter so about 20 minutes later someone else asked to take our order because the first person never put the order in. I can't imagine what the service would have been like on a busy night.
Great food but prepare to give up hours on the experience if you go. In the end they gave us a discount on the meal but we, and the other diners who had similar experiences from our conversations that night (we had plenty of time to talk with people at other tables) just didn't think it was worth it
