FELICE 83 reflects the soul of Italy, inspired by the sophisticated streets of Florence and the rustic warmth of the Tuscan countryside. This cozy NYC newcomer showcases a relaxed ambience, with subdued lighting, exposed brick walls lined with linear shelves filled with wine, as well as rich, tufted leather seats. Italian wines and flavors from Tuscany will now be served in a modern space, infused with traditional elements, on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Felice 83 features classic Italian dishes from the menu of its sister restaurant, Sant Ambroeus, as well as tasting items and small plates, prepared by Chef Antonio Pamplone.
What Insiders Are Saying
Felice is a mini-chain from the people behind Sant Ambroeus, and the location on 83rd is one of the better date spots in the area.
I would’ve liked a bottle of wine suggested for the table by my server. I instead bought 4 glasses at $14 each......
Otherwise a lovely dining experience and my friend enjoyed his birthday.
Felice has excellent food, attentive button pushy service, and a staff that goes the extra mile. A hidden gem.
We celebrated my husband’s 50th and the staff were so accommodating!! Fabulous experience all around.
Tasty meal with good service. And the bread at the beginning of the meal, with olive oil was excellent. Only complaint is that as the evening goes on the restaurant gets darker. At the end we could barely see our food. There’s got to be a way to maintain the ambience and still be able to see
One of our favorite restaurant on the UES - the wines are sublime, the Carciofi fritti light and crispy, the polpettini a delicious veal blend with a superb hearty sauce to match and the grilled branzino done just right. Whether sitting outside to watch neighbors pass by or inside for a quiet chat, it is my treat place to go.
Prix fixe lunch was a good value. Mozzarella was tasty, and chicken paillard was perfectly cooked. Wine list was annoyingly expensive.
Overall good but was very dark. Needs to have better lighting
We had an early res@6:30 It was mostly empty and we were seated quickly. After that it was all downhill. Handed menus and asked what we’d like to order. After we said we just sat down we were told the specials. We then asked for a glass of Prosecco then we looked at the menu. Wait person got lost and there we only a few tables taken so she wasn’t too busy to help us. Water was offered and we sat for another 15 minutes. Wait person came to take our order and again we asked for Prosecco. All food came at same time Salads and entrees and drinks. My husband had left the table for a few minutes and I asked the server to wait a few minutes as it will get cold. (Not the person who took our orders). My request was ignored We ate and left as soon as possible as the restaurant was getting a little busier and we had no interest in being ignored anymore Food was ok but not as we had experienced in past visits. We used to really like this place for many reasons We will not be coming back, as there are many more restaurants of this kind in the area We are sad This used to be a neighborhood favorite of ours and we anyways enjoyed the food and excellent service. What happened?
Overall our experience was exceptional. I was early and since they just opened they allowed me to sit while I waited for my party to arrive. The staff was wonderful- attentive without being overbearing and knew the menu (food and wine) exceptionally well and made “spot-on” recommendations. The price point is right for a business meal and the food was five stars overall. I will come back again in the very near future.
Nice atmosphere and generally good food, but tables for two are too close together and the ones on their own are too small. The bar area was spacious and nice so recently make group of two sitting there. Otherwise, just not a nice experience for a nice dinner out.
The design and lighting in the restaurant are very nice. Recommend for groups of 3 or more. Our pasta with tomato sauce and cheese was too sweet.
I have tried Felice's multiple locations and Felice never disappointed me!
Just okay. Pasta a little heavy and overall dish was bland. Won’t be back.
Always a favorite! You always can count on good food, atmosphere, and what I call a "generous pour"!
I ended up in Felice by chance. I was looking for a restaurant in the area and a friend of mine said I should visit them. The quality of the food was great and the taste as well. The smoke salmon and olive oil they offer is simply fantastic. Price and service was also good. I would go there again.
Ok as a have to eat place. Pasta nothing special. Not accommodating or fun
Pleasant, easy and a perfect place for a casual lunch, thank you!
it's a nice neighborhood restaurant with good food and a nice wine bar. My only compaint is that the restaurant is very dark.. You cannot see your food.
First, they said I did not have a reservation, when I clearly made it through open table and had an email confirmation. After that being said, we were seated at a table and waited quite some time for a server. This was a recommendation from a friend. Not sure I would return for lunch or dinner.
We had a comfortable table for 7 people and did not feel rushed. The brunch menu was somewhat limited but the food was tasty.
We had a family celebration and it was the perfect table for group conversation. The food and service were excellent.
Easy wait at the bar for our reservation with a great espresso negroni. Nice table with comfy seats and away from touching shoulders with other guests. Hardly any personality from the server. The biggest disappointment came from our entrees being extremely late. Both the server and manager never gave an explanation and we were left guessing and waiting. It was only right after I asked for the check and call it a night did the food finally arrive after a 45 minute wait. Two glasses of wine and an app were comped but it hardly made up for the lack of communication or empathy. Will not be returning.
Mediocre food, mediocre service just mediocre. So many great Italian restaurants in the city why bother? Certain dishes were well executed goat cheese crostini but other dishes were only okay and the service was disinterested at best.
The Fusili was a bit too firm for my liking. And the sauce was a little bland and tased like store bought sauce. The portion was small. And at 20$, the price to quality ratio is way off.
Good, convenient spot in upper east side. Service was very good. Seating for two was at a too small table, and the leather backing on the sofa side was not particularly comfortable. Food was satisfactory but not particularly exciting. Not cheap. I would not give this a high rating for value.
We were treated very well. Dishes explained and recommended were delicious. It was our friends Birthday and they made her feel very welcome and surprised us all with a few treats! We will definitely be back!
Food was yummy. Will definitely return again and again. Very authentic flavors. The entire party was very pleased
Great as usual
Felice 83 is a wonderful place, offering superb food, an excellent and interesting wine list, friendly and effective service, and a truly welcoming ambience. My wife and I always enjoy our visits, and when I being business associates the experience is always a great success. Kudos to a fine staff, who make each visit a welcoming experience.
Felice is always excellent! It is perfect for any time of the week, any occasion, any type of company. With Felice we temporarily step across the Ocean, go back home and cure our nostalgia, while still being in wonderful NYC.
The food and drinks was delicious — however, the service was a little frustrating! My partner and I went there on a Friday night date, and although the servers were very nice and friendly, We had a reservation for 9:15 and couldn’t be seated until nearly 30 minutes after our reservation. We would have appreciated our waiter kindly telling the people who were seated at our table that there was another couple waiting, but it didn’t seem like they were very concerned :/
Our family loves everything about Felixe. The people are really nice, the food is delicious and it is just a great atmosphere for a nice evening out.
The table was too small for 3 people
We've been here twice. Not disappointed either time. Food was excellent. Ambiance and service great. The noise level was better on a Monday night than on a holiday weekend. But we love it.
Lovely spot, tasty food, attentive service
The bar is terrific...great food and even greater service.
Friends just bought Within walking distance; we hoped they would enjoy a visit to one of our favorite spots. Felice83 did not disappoint!
Cesar was excellent. He even made a list of the dishes I ordered for our guests so they might choose their favorites on their own.
Great food delicious. Service wonderful
We were there for the Restaurant Week menu and it was delicious! Decided to accompany it with the wine pairing and were not disappointed. Highly recommend this restaurant!
We chose from the Restaurant Week lunch menu. It was a great value and the food was delicious. A good place for a leisurely lunch.
