Has the opportunity to be good, but still working out some kinks. Staff hustles, food was OK. Chef was super nice. Chips, salsa and guac with mangos was delicious

It was our first time experiencing the restaurant. It was very loud and we could barely have conversation, but the noise decreased as the night went on. The food was good, but three of the guests had errors with the food. The first one was attempted to be corrected, but it came out wrong again so the guest decided not to reorder. The second guest had a extra taco added, and when informed - the sever came and asked for the taco to be handed to him - which he obviously threw away - instead of asking if someone else at the table wanted it. I’ve never experienced that before. The third guest asked for sauce on the side for the shrimp tacos but it was included which resulted in a wait for correction. Overall the experience didn’t match the cost of the dinner.

Great drinks and food. Pricing very good especially for being downtown. It was a little noisy inside.

Great experience, love the value on the Tacos especially the lamb birria tacos, which they were on the menu full time! My only complaint is the small gnats flying around the indoor tables . I get that happens when you have an indoor/ outdoor restaurant, but it was annoying that I had to swat at them while I was eating.

The food was awful and while the server taking orders was great, the people delivering food just slammed it down and disappeared so quickly it made it an unpleasant experience. I was expected great food based on reviews but this is clearly somewhere you go to drink and have a few snacks, not somewhere to go for dinner. The meat on the brisket nachos was tough and huge chunks, the tacos were not cooked through and all doughy, guacamole had no flavour. If you want good Mexican in Nashville try Lona or Casa Rosa downtown which were both excellent.

Overall I enjoy going to federales. Lively crowd and good happy hour specials. Service is fast & friendly.

We loved Federales... The pork pineapple taco were delicious.. My favorite was the cod fish taco, Mexican corn,,the raspberry margarita & the complimentary chips & salsa... The only negative was our waitress. She was either having a bad day... We all do.. Or she she just doesn't need to work in a service environment

Federales has gotten a lot of hype since it opened, they’ve done a good job marketing on social media. Unfortunately, we had heard the food was very underwhelming, even the queso. The margaritas were very syrupy. We decided to go somewhere else after bad margs and queso. Before adding a tip, we spent $49 on two drinks and one queso. I would say this place would be great to get a margarita and sit on the patio, but afford to the margarita was nothing special. The parking scenario is also not very good.
