Federal House Bar & Grill in Annapolis, Maryland has a history that goes all the way back to 1830. Since then, that establishment has won numerous awards for its unique brews and food. House specialties at Federal House Bar & Grill include the fish and chips which are haddock dipped in a Brooklyn lager batter and fries on the side. Another specialty is the chicken diablo. It�s a rosemary-grilled chicken breast tossed in herbs, tomato and parmesan cheese placed over penne pasta and covered in a spicy teriyaki sauce. There�s also a raw bar at Federal House Bar & Grill that offers fried calamari, savory mussels mariniere, nachos and house wings.

The food was delicious and our service was excellent, however, as the dinner hour turned to the bar scene, the restaurant became so loud that we decided to leave. It became nearly impossible to hold a conversation between the four of us at our table.

food was very good and the service was outstanding. they wanted to please.......and the prices were reasonable. i got the chilean sea bass which was outstanding.

I choose Federal House for an outing with two friends. My husband and I had eaten there before and had a wonderful time. Federal House did not let me down. We had the crustless crab quiche which had easily a third maybe one half pound of lump crab meat in it. The salad were very fresh. We chose two deserts, tortilla fried with banana inside with vanilla ice cream and the pineapple bread pudding. It made me feel so good to hear my friends say repeatedly "This is so good!!". Thanks Federal House, we'll be back.

The food was average. There was a young child screaming often nearby whose parents didn't care. They should have tried to calm the child down or taken them outside. It was discourteous to the other patrons. We were a party of 10 who spent over $300. We asked for bread and was charged for it without prior warning. If you don't offer bread for free anymore, at least tell us in advance! If you are looking for a quiet place to eat, try elsewhere.

The Federal House has very good food at a reasonable price. The staff are all friendly and readily available when needed. One of my favorite restaurants. Booking reservations on opentable.com made the experience most convenient.

Hostess "forgot" that we were waiting in the bar for 25 minutes. When we finally complained, she dumped us at a bar table that had been open all along. Birdbrain.

Food is solid. Nothing to write home about but the price is fair and they have a really good wine list so it was good for a "double date" with my parents & girlfriend. Service was top notch!!!

The service was lovely. The food was good, but not outstanding. I'm always leery of salads, because I've gotten so many "salad in a bag" meals with slimy pieces of lettuce, but the salad here was fresh and crisp. We also had the baked honey brie, which would have been perfect had it been a bit more warm and gooey. Still, it was good and it's sauce was nice.
