A wonderful place to go with family and friends! Great food and atmosphere!
It was a birthday , lasagna was cold but good tasting the steak dish Ganochi was awful ! Salty and steak was tough ice tea took 20 minutes to get would not go back
Our server was excellent and the food was amazing! Pricing is affordable and on par with other area restaurants, so we’ll definitely be back for more than just special occasions!
The food and service were excellent. The drink prices were a little high priced compare to many other restaurants we have visited.
You can see the potential for a true 5 star experience in this stylish new facility, but there is a definite lack of attention to detail by the staff that is keeping it from realizing that potential. I don’t think the owners/developers of this beautiful looking place had an “Olive Garden Experience” in mind when they built it.
The staff dressed in all black apparently have never learned to operate an iron. Loose tucked, slightly faded and wrinkled uniforms abound. No personnel manning a host stand. When we arrived a young man who was busy place setting a high top in the bar, speaking through a mask facing away from me apparently was inquiring who we were?
After being seated and ordering cocktails in a gorgeous green velvet booth we waited more than an acceptable time to receive them. The cocktails were well prepared and I would add here that their wine list and wines by the glass offerings are excellent.
No bread or complimentary snack of any kind. We shared the ONLY salad option on the menu which is a Caesar. While it was generous in size and loaded with fresh lettuces, the dressing was very lacking in flavor or even a hint of anchovy. Cheese was fine grated and clearly low cost domestic. As for the misshapen “crouton or toast” on top, don’t get me started!
For mains I received a lukewarm serving of lasagna that I had heard good things about. Our waitress Rose, agreeably took it back, but then returned with the same serving reheated in the oven, but lacking the sauce and garnish that were originally on the plate. It was very tasty and has tremendous potential as a signature dish. My wife had the Linguine Carbonara and it was both hot and delicious.
One other note, the wines by the glass we ordered did not arrive with the meal and after saying she would retrieve them right away, Rose stopped at an adjacent table and took their order first.
I think with some proper training and attention to detail, this could become the place our city so badly needs.
Not a good experience at all. Food was mediocre. I had to send my delmonico steak back bc it was over cooked. It came back out cooked fine but with no seasoning. I sent it back. My wife's pasta was dry and not very favorable. The noise level was too high. Couldn't habe a romantic dinner bc there is no divider between the bar and restaurant. Save your money and go to Applebee's!
Our service was excellent!! A big kudos to Elizabeth😊
Never got to eat here. The restaurant accepted my 10:30 breakfast reservation and then told me they had stopped serving breakfast when I arrived at 10:30.
Our waiting Jesse was the best. 1st time in kansas and he made the night amazing. Great waiter.
Food was just excellent. Very delicious with generous portions. Food exceeded our expectations. Very good value as well.
Service was fair. We were the only ones in the main dining area when we arrived. After waiting several minutes, we had to call out to our waitress to get a drink order. She was near by just visiting with another attendant. Felt rushed as she showed up with our main entree before we had finished our salad and appetizer. Never stopped by to fill our water glasses either. Didn't offer dessert ideas.
Overall, I believe Fedeli's will be great for downtown Topeka and has potential. I like the idea that it is more of a upscale restaurant where the customer wants to stay awhile and enjoy the place. Professionalism in the service will help establish and maintain that idea. Shouldn't be a fast food place experience.
Very disappointed, took my husband out to dinner for his Birthday, was out of food we wanted and was sit right next to noisy bar.
Great service! Fun environment! Definitely will be back.
We asked for outdoor seating but they didn't have any. However, they put us at a table far away from other people. The food was delicious and the price was reasonable. Great place to eat!
This was our first visit to the new Fedeli's Steak & Pasta restaurant at the Cyrus Hotel. I made reservations for 6:30, Sunday evening. We were seated immediately upon arrival. We were greeted by a very attentive waitstaff who answered all of our questions about the menu. On this evening, three types of steak were offered along with salmon and many choices of pasta including lasagna, spaghetti bolognese, linguini, ravioli and more. My husband ordered the 12 oz KC strip medium. He reported it the best steak he had in a long time. It looked delicious with roasted mushrooms on top. He ordered the grilled asparagus side. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese with 2 large meatballs. The bolognese sauce was amazingly delicious. Our dining companions ordered the herb roasted salmon which was very rare in the middle. Not to any of our liking. She reported that the salmon was good, but was disappointed with the rare middle portion - would heat it up at home. Another dining companion ordered the lasagne which was loaded with meat and cheese. He reported that it was very tasty and ate the whole serving. It looked good and must have been good!
Cocktails average around $10 to $12. My dining companions ordered Manhattans - one on the rocks and one "up." Both reported that it was very good. I ordered the Amaretto Sour which was made with bourbon and bartender created sweet & sour mix. I'm used to the sweet & sour coming from premade syrup, so I was a little startled by the taste, but it grew on my over time. I will report that I liked the Amaretto sour. Very unique.
Since we made a reservation we expected to be seated in the dining room, instead we were placed at a high top next to the bar. Had the seats been less comfortable we would have left. The meal and drinks were okay but not great. Pasta was overcooked and the Arribiato had no flair. The server was good at her job and we were glad for that.
Out of town trip
Very nice restaurant for dinner. Do not recommend for breakfast at hotel
Cocktails , plating , food and service was exceptional!
Went for our anniversary and enjoyed every moment! Also, our waiter was amazing! He was polite, refilled our drinks in a timely fashion, and checked on us often. I wish I could remember his name because he deserves waiter of the year! Delicious food, intimate atmosphere and wonderful service! We'll be back!
Lovely evening, great food & surroundings. Attentive staff.
Tonic in drinks was flat but immediately after pointing it out it was re done!
Carbonara was great. Bolongnese a little bland. Service and drinks were very good
Fantastic meal! Love the vibe and aesthetic - unlike anywhere else in Topeka! Our server Chloee was amazing and handled them being short staffed like a champ! Will definitely be back!
There are a number of problems that need to be solved. One entre was missing a key ingredient. Service was slow but our server was very helpful and working as hard as possible.
Outstanding Italian food and ambience. We will be back often as it is awesome to have an upscale Italian restaurant in Topeka - finally!
We were really excited to try Fedeli’s out, as it’s new and a nicer place to eat. Sadly, we were pretty dissatisfied with it. I got the Filet, my husband got the KC Strip, and we tried the fries and risotto. It was overall just bland, from the ambience to the food. Definitely not worth what it’s priced at.
LOVED the lasagna! It was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m looking forward to going back to try other homemade pasta dishes. I do wish they had a small side salad or couple of stalks of broccoli or some type of small green veg to go with it. (The only salad I saw on the menu was a caprese, which I enjoy those too just didn’t want to order a large caprese salad plus lasagna, I just wanted a small side.
Husband ordered a ribeye steak which was cooked well & he liked the flavor, it was thin for a ribeye-more like the thickness of a sirloin.
The staff were great-they were pleasant, easy-going and professional from the host to the bar staff to the waitress. The bar menu was pretty good too - they had unique cocktail options. I really liked their Aviator (maybe it was Aviation - either way, you’ll know it when you see it).
I dined on the patio which had adequate seating, but there is little separation between it and the street, allowing multiple non-customers to take up space and cause distractions. The food was excellent; I shared the charcuterie board and my entree was the salmon with risotto and dressed arugula. Both were incredibly flavorful, and the salmon tasted incredibly fresh for a land-locked state. For drinks, I had a pre-dinner cocktail that was very refreshing and a riesling with the salmon.
The service was phenomenal, she followed up promptly when necessary and left us alone when we didn't need attention. She was friendly and could hold interesting conversations.
I was really disappointed. The Italian food was nothing special. They had a limited menu because of their change-over to an Italian restaurant. I really hate to say it, but Olive Garden is better. The only saving feature was the service which was very good.
Good food and good service, but with everything a little high on the $$ scale. I can buy a bag of salmon for the same price as their small salmon fillet I was served.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The Smoked Old Fashioned was one of the best drinks I have ever had. The charcuterie/ cheese board was delicious. I appreciated that they made an off menu vegetarian dish that was excellent. My husband had the carbonara with chicken and said the chicken was perfect.
We had a nice dinner at the Weather room last evening. Despite being short staffed, they made a valiant effort to be friendly and accommodating. Food was good; Delmonico steak very tasty and lemon sole crisp and delicious. Drinks were a bit tardy but very well made once they arrived. We would visit again.
Would give 4.5 stars. Guests are well spaced, but tables are a little small. Spiced cauliflower appetizer excellent. Salmon very flavorful, slight sweet / citrus hint. Delmonico steak was good . . . but I have had better. Grilled asparagus was very unique and flavorful, I recommend it. The vegetable medley was a good size serving, but the carrots were undercooked. Overall, still good but not quite great. So, not my favorite restaurant, but would return without hesitation.
Excellent meal and service. Wonderful evening! Thank you!
We ordered Calamari Fritti for a starter and I ordered the Chicken Piccata. The Calamari was soft not crisp, overly salted; but had two nice sauces. The Chicken Piccata pasta was overcooked and soft; the chicken was moist; there was no hint of lemon in the sauce. It was served in a big lump, it was ok, but not what I expected from a fine dinning establishment. They do not serve bread with the dinner. The atmosphere was casual, nicely decorated and serving staff, attentive and courteous. In my opinion, the prices were too high for the food served. Overall, I like the Cyrus restaurant, but will not return until the restaurant is changed to an Italian one as planned. I would not recommend this restaurant until the food is cooked better.
The menu was limited. Looks like restaurant was transitioning to new ownership. Steak was tough & chewy & side item wasn’t good at all.
The food was especially good. I had chicken piccata and it was A+. The Caesar salad was perfect very cold crispy Romaine lettuce and in-house Caesar dressing! Yum
I had the Kansas City Strip with the PT Coffee rub with asparagus and my wife had the pasta with chicken. We both had ceasar salads. Food was excellent, salad was made perfect and the asparagus was delicious! Our server Ryan was great and very attentive. Restaurant was very cozy and was a great place to take my wife for our anniversary!
Menu is modest, but food is well executed (though consistently under seasoned). Service was excellent, surroundings were very pleasant. Would recommend.
Terrific restaurant and the food was lovely…a trendy and upscale place!
