Feather & Hide Bar & Grill
We buy fresh meats, vegetables, eggs and fruits direct from the farm. We then hand pick what we stock in the farm shop and our restaurants. Our milk comes from Webbery Moos, a local family run dairy with a passion for milk. We bake all our fresh breads and pastries daily. We use local artisan suppliers for our cured meats and cheese.
We have teamed up with Heddens of Woodtown to offer fresh food boxes. These can be pre-ordered through the farm shop.

Very good service and lovely food
The staff were very attentive to my wife's dairy and gluten intolerance, with the kitchen making cauliflower without cheese, roast potatoes with no butter, and gluten free gravy.
Special thanks to Andy and Will who made numerous trips to the kitchen to ensure our meals were sorted. We both had the Sunday roast pork.
First meal out for 12 months, amazing food, made to feel very welcome, I would definitely recommend
Superb food, excellent service, thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return
Not great value for money. Great service very friendly.
Really enjoyed our meal. Service was attentive and spot on. Good menu, well prepared and cooked to order medium rare ribeye with great chips. Rebooked for Saturday!
Drinks came out so late that we’d nearly finished our dinner. Portions were small. Side salad was just lettuce and tomato. Waiting staff were grumpy . Wouldn’t go again
Mostly run out of most things on the menu the day after bank holiday Monday. Even though had booked table 2 weeks before so disappointing that had very little to chose from. Very little atmosphere
Around half of the items on the menu had sold out by 7.30pm
Food was good, but the noise level was too high to really enjoy the experience.
Really enjoyed the food. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble
Will definitely be back again
We had to prompt the waiter 3 times fur our children's starters and once for our second round of drinks. The pizza oven was broken but we were only told once seated with it first drinks order. Our children's mash looked processed like old fashioned smash. A 12.5% gratuity was automatically added which was frustrating as we wouldn't have given that much due to poor service and sub standard good it children received. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
This was our 4th visit this week and the food and service have been excellent everytime. The staff were all good but Kieren is a credit to his manager, he had his eye on the ball throughout. Well done. We've been coming to woodford bridge for 30 years and these were the best meals we've had here. Keep up the good work 👍
Very tasty and freshly prepared food and good value
Great value for money. Lovely environment and great service.
Staff friendly and helpful, had slight issue with my food , was replaced and was very good .... just spoilt the evening slightly as my friends had finished eating by the time my meal arrived. Staff were faultless x
The service from All staff was very good indeed- friendly, courteous, efficient. Food very good, though no option for vegetables other than those automatically served (tomatoes, onion rings, mushrooms
Decor a little dated in restaurant. Overall experience, very enjoyable - thanl you
This was the second time we dined here. Again, the menu featured locally sourced produce served with an imaginative twist. The staff were excellent again despite the restaurant being very busy and they dealt with each table in an efficient, personable and very pleasant way. The food was delicious and we would definitely recommend eating here at Woodford Bridge.
Good staff and hot and freshly cooked fish and chips and steak burger.
Coming back on Thursday. 👍
Food and service good. Limited menu, particularly on the night we went due to pizza oven being out of action. Made to feel very welcome and were delighted by the extra effort made for our anniversary. Not much atmosphere due to Covid restrictions. Would dine there again if in the area.
decent selection and nice food. Party of 4 had variety of foods and all happy with what they had, pleasant service.
The Appledore mussels starter in particular was imaginative and delicious. It was nice to enjoy local food carefully prepared and presented. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Very tasty roast beef and pork but could have been hotter and roast potatoes were a bit soggy.
Mussels were lovely but didn't need the panchetta as this masked the flavour of the mussels and sauce too much. Mains were nice but why on earth serve fried onion rings with sea bass filets? Cushions are needed, it became quite uncomfortable after a while sitting on bare wood. Why did a waiter ask us if we wanted more drinks when he could see all our glasses were over half full?
Had a lovely meal here on Saturday, staff were good attentive and very efficient. Food was excellent thoroughly enjoyed it. Will come again. Only downside the interior is a little bare for such a charming building. Otherwise 10/10.
Lovely food. Steak cooked to perfection. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive.
Mussels in cider were outstanding!
Good choice of starters.Pie was tasty, burger was made of good quality meat.Going back on Friday so thoroughly recommend
We dined outdoors during COVID restrictions. Patio heaters and blankets were provided and the ambience was lovely. Staff were attentive. Our only disappointment was that we dined on a Sunday and hadn’t realised that the full menu wasn’t available. The rhubarb trifle was delicious.
The staff were warm and welcoming on our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was a amazing. All fresh and cooked to order. Good choice on the menue. So impressed we've booked in with them again.
Food good quality. Service good. Outside venue poor have seen much better canopies. Heating primitive the gas burning fires are better, locals came in and pinched heaters often having two for one table. If you have to do outside catering again needs drastic rethink
Good choice. Steak well cooked as per requests, and fab chips. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Really tasty food and generous portions. We had a Sunday roast and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Top quality classic Sunday roast at a very reasonable price considering the generous portions and side dishes we enjoyed.
Service was attentive but not over bearing and they picked up it was a birthday for one in my group and their pudding had an extra special presentation, well done guys. We will return frequently.
We were greeted by friendly staff who were very attentive throughout our meal, nothing was too much trouble. The menu really appealed to us as they have a brilliant ethos of local quality food where possible. Great to see Devon Ruby Red beef and rare breed pork on the menu! Starter was great, the roast dinner was one of the best we’ve ever had and the desserts were delicious. We will definitely be coming back, so nice to have such a great place for food so close by!
Stayed at Woodford Bridge so used restaurant twice. Excellent service and food both times. Unfortunately weather was a bit cool and although there were heaters our old bones felt the cold. Once the weather improves and they can open up the restaurant to customers it will be superb I'm sure
As soon as we were seated the young girl was very attentive and we received an excellent service throughout our meal. The food was lovely, and the blankets and outside heaters we’re great for the chilly weather.
We will definitely book again for an evening meal
Given covid restrictions this experience was better than expected. The food was excellent, staff friendly and attentive. Good value for money as well.
Lovely food in a lovely restaurant. Difficult circumstances because it was very chilly eating outside in the evening, but the staff did their very best to make us comfortable
It was far too cold to be eating outside, so our meal was not enjoyed, because of that. The service and the bon homme were appreciated, as were the fleece blankets, but by the time we had eaten our meal, I was frozen. Your moules were excellent, the largest and juiciest ever, but would have been easier to be fully enjoyed, if there had been an empty shell receptacle provided, as they always provide in France, then all the delicious cooking sauce could have been enjoyed. Also some crusty bread with the moules would have been a good idea. My haddock was tasty, but because I like vinigar, I finished up with soggy paper under my fish, and had to deftly remove it, after I found myself chewing soggy paper with my fish. The chips were very nice. My husband's pork was disappointing, but I will leave that for him to talk about. Having stayed here many times before, and being delighted to hear of the new franchise, ( previously never tempted to eat at restaurant because we could always smell rancid fat when passing),we do wish you both the best of luck. Your service is good, prices fair, but coming from a catering background, I think some of your food presentations need extra thought. My husband, French of course, thinks you could do well serving moules/ frites as a main, with crusty bread / bit of a side salad, at a reasonable price, both at lunch, and in the evening. We have had some good Normandy moules in our time, but plain moules marniere, cooked in your local cider instead of more pricey white wine, shallots and fresh parsley, with your fantastic moules, would be a winner, and locals would come from a distance, when word gets around.
We shall definitely be back, but not until we can eat in the warm. Sorry!
Love the shop. Love your sour dough bread. Only been open a week, think you are onto a really good thing and you will be very successful.
I have been totally honest and straight in my response because at this stage in your new venture, you need that. Good luck.
Excellent meal, exemplary service, quality food and absolutely could not fault it!! Will def be coming back and very best of luck in this new venture! X
