I was there for Sunday lunch. I'm sure it's a bigger deal at dinner. Interesting menu; there were eggs, but also sweetbreads and octopus (both of which I had). Only criticism is a lack of piquancy--maybe needs a dredging in chili powder or a touch of lemon. Wine specials (with amouses bouches) were very interesting--a white blend from Spain and a Willamette pinot blanc surlie. Room is problematic-- not romantic nor, alternatively, industrial enough.

The Happy hour wine by the glass discount with a small appetizer was great. The owner/chef visited with customers to get feedback. I actually went back for their every Saturday wine tasting (the person talking about the wines was able to provide some of the best background information I've heard).

As usual, Feast was fantastic! I had the Dover Sole-succulent and fresh with horseradish crusted potatoes that were delicious. My wife had the special beef tenderloin with artichoke fritters-perfect. We finished with the lemon ricotta cake-one of the best cakes I have ever had!! Thanks to Feast for a wonderful Birthday!

Feast has an eclectic menu and an extensive libations list. My wife had the octopus, which was among the best she has ever had. I had the lentil crusted fried chicken entree with candied olives, which was quite good. We shared a flourless ricotta-almond cake, which also was excellent. Nothing fancy about the decor and the tables are rather close together so you have to listen to your neighbors conversation whether you want to or not. That can be quite annoying. Service was very good. Give it a try if you don't mind being elbow to elbow with the adjoining diners.

Maybe April was just the wrong month for us...(this restaurant's menu changes monthly). It took us a long time to get through the menu and find something to try. Everything is super complex with a dose of strange--almost seems like that's the intent. In the end, despite the complicated descriptions, the food was only OK. Nothing spectacular, nothing awful, just OK. We keep coming back once a year or so. The chef/owner is a great, personable guy, the atmosphere is that of an upscale neighborhood gathering place, the service is good. But we tend to be disappointed most times. We'll look more carefully at the menu before coming back again to make sure there's something we'll want to eat.

Food was great; homemade biscuits for the eggs benedict were fabulous; the service was the best I've experienced at Feast in a few years - really attentive and helpful; the noise level was awful -- we were in the back room which I think is more noisy. There are no soft, noise-absorbing surfaces in the room. An extremely loud restaurant is one of my pet peeves. Next time I'll ask to be seated in the main room, and see if that's better.

The food was inventive and pretty good, but it missed the extra something to make it great. For example, the salad was just greens and tomatoes and onions; it needed something more to be special--nuts, bacon, something. Same was true of main dishes: good but not wow.

My Guest and I were very excited to go to Feast to have the sweet breads. We decided to order our lunch in appetizers so that we could sample as many things as possible. And sadly we’re were disappointed by all of our food except the chickpea fritters which were the star of the show. The sweetbreads were not trimmed properly so parts of them were completely inedible and they were soggy and tasteless as well. The lobster dish had decent flavor but the texture was rubbery. But the saddest item was the steak tartare; the texture was very coarse and it was so under-seasoned that there was virtually no flavor at all. All in all the anticipated “feast at Feast” was not to be. Hopefully it was just an “off” day in the kitchen but because of the high prices it is unlikely we would return.

As we are visiting Tucson, I checked Open Table for suggestions for dinner. We chose Feast and were so glad we did. The quail and the evening special, halibut, were excellent. House made tonic was awesome. Our server had great suggestions for drink pairings. Easy parking. Would definitely return.

There are only a few top quality restaurants in Tucson. So if you want to venture out often, Feast is your place. Doug changes the menu monthly so its like going to a new restaurant. And the weekly wine tastings are another great feature. Did I mention the top shelf, well-priced wine list? If you are visiting Tucson, this is a must stop. If you live in Tucson, this should be at least a monthly visit.

Friday night arrived around 7:15, stayed very busy. Takes a while for items to arrive.I had the stuffed quail and enjoyed it. My brother-in-law didn't care for the pepper and hibiscus ice cream, I tried a bite and couldn't identify flavors readily. Wait staff didn't wasn't attentive to when we had finished our meal. Will go again within the next year.

We had the lobster bread pudding as an app. It was highly rated by other reviewers and we liked it too, however it must have been microwaved since it was unevenly warm. Next course was the salad with tahini dressing, we didn’t care for the dressing, but that was our fault by choosing it. Main course was the quail which was very good. Last thing, the drinks. The only thing missing was the cherries in my companion’s Shirley Temple.

We had a wonderful dinner. The waitstaff was attentive but not hovering. The wine steward really found the perfect wine for us and the price was great! ($31). At our table we had appetizers including the delectable, perfectly roasted beets and cauliflower and the delicious, rich lobster bread pudding. For out entrees we had fried chicken and the beef tenderloin that were interesting but in a really nice way. We were so full with the appetizers, we took half our entrees home and they were delicious the next day. Overall, I am looking forward to coming back.

The food was good, they have a very good wine list (I would add this category to your list above. I enjoyed the chef/owner coming around to the tables. I would have liked some bread served to the table prior to our meals arriving (which took over 35 minutes to be served). I will give it one more try with just my wife and I.

We get down to Tucson (from Michigan) every year or two. We always make a point of going to Feast for both the food and the cocktails.

Highlights this year were Sable fish, Salmon, and Texas boar. All delicious. Menu is constantly progressing, but we have always been delighted.

We have always had an excellent meal here. A high point of our winters in Arizona. This time the 'new' experience was sweetbreads and I was trying them with trepidation. No need as they are now a favourite. Crispy and elegant and definitely to be your choice too.

Food was so so. Had bread pudding with lobster. Did not have much flavor (felt it was under seasoned). Very little pieces of lobster that you almost could not taste.
Had the pan roasted sable fish. It tasted fishy which ruined that entree.

I've been eating at Feast for several years when visiting my family in Tucson and the food has always been outstanding and while a couple of dishes were near-misses this year, as a former chef, I know that this happens occasionally and the other dishes were as good I remember.
We will definitely be back!

Its rare to have a meal in which every dish for every person is delicious - but it was, and it was memorable. Every ingredient felt so carefully, thoughtfully and lovingly selected and prepared - yet the food and atmosphere weren't pretentious. What a wonderful meal.

Feast is a favorite. We go there with friends and often take visitors there. Doug is a brilliant chef. He revises the menu regularly with new and interesting dishes. I like wine with my dinner and you can trust both Doug and Kevin for a recommendation. The wine list is extensive and I think it's the most reasonably priced one you'll find.

WOW! My wife writes cookbooks, we have a wine cellar, we were visiting Tucson, and I lucked out in finding Feast for our final dinner in town. The wine by the glass was unusual and spectacular. Our meals were delicious - we traded halfway through as we normally do, and I loved them both. And we wanted pretty much everything on the menu! I can't recommend it highly enough. We will be back several times on our next Tucson trip!

A varied and changing menu that is definitely not your usual fine dining fare. I had a problem deciding what to order and wound up overeating. Get there early because Senior Citizens start filing in around 1700 hrs and it remains busy until closing.

I went for brunch and ordered the Biscuits Benedict with lobster. The biscuits were by far the hi light of this dish. They were light and flakey with buttery flavor and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The down side was that the cream sauce was a bit on the bland side and there was very little lobster to be found on my plate. All of about three modest chunks and a few small flakes. Not worth the extra cost.
