Feast has the best fried chicken. I cannot get enough of it. The white bean and bacon soup was also terrific.
I came here with family for an intimate dinner. The ambiance and decor in Feast is fantastic and the servers were warm and friendly--the mood and the space definitely fits any special occasion or date. It was a Tuesday evening and the place was packed with patrons of the older, richer demographic (this is West Vancouver after all).
However, the food itself does not live up to the price. For a fine-dining restaurant, the $20+ fish and chips was a disappointment to say the least. The steak was smoky and nicely done, but the portion was the smallest I think I've ever seen. The beet/citrus salad was very interesting and the texture was lovely, but it was much too tart and the mix of vegetables and gastrique did not balance out very well. The sausage and artichoke pasta was on the heavier side, but I enjoyed that dish very much.
Overall I would recommend this place for sipping some wine and conversation but not for a foodie adventure.
The chicken & waffles was terrific. I am already anxiously waiting for the next time I can return and eat it again..
Visited this restaurant twice now and the food and service have always been great.
The place was busy when we arrived but soon emptied - which is a shame, as it becomes very quiet.
Feast has a nice cozy ambience and they serve delicious creative dishes. You must leave room for dessert - the doughnuts are amazing!
Had heard good reviews for Feast in Dundarave so booked a lunch for 4 midweek. Open for about 6 months for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, the new eatery is a big improvement over the former tired establishment in this location. The interior was modern and comfortable with an attractive small bar. Our server was attentive and patient as our party spent considerable time catching up before placing our order. The menu is creative with choices that are appealing. We declined cocktails, wine and starters. The food was a little bit slow in appearing, but delicious. We enjoyed one split order of Fried Chicken with Parmesan Fries added, shrimp Fettucine and Squash and Chickpea Curry. Portion sizes were adequate to generous. The only drawback we found was the prices are on the high side. We had heard this comment from other friends as well. However, the ambiance, service, food selection and quality guarantees our return for a future visit.
Feast was recommended to us so we booked for Feb 14th. My husband and I were not disappointed in our menu selections. The mushroom soup was flavourful and very rich and my husband enjoyed the tuna tartare. WE both selected the lamb shank which again was flavourful and married well with the couscous. The mini donuts were a nice end to the meal. Lovely ambience and although the restaurant was almost full, it was not too loud. We had a great time. We will certainly return.
Food quality was mixed....the mushroom soup and curry were very good but the crab cakes were disappointing. Overall prices were a little on the high side.
For a group of 5 for lunch, food came quickly, was well presented, tasty and used innovative, quality ingredients. The burgers were awesome. A bit expensive but not when you consider in house ground beef, and all the additions on top of the meat...the bacon, carmelized onions....and so much more....yummm
Finally - good waitstaff! Service was fast and attentive. Food is a bit pricey for what you get, but it is good (7.5/10), so no complaints. I enjoyed the pates the food came on, nice attention to detail. Because of these things AND the newly improved service, we'll be back!
Hat's off to Feast. Best ingredients combined with the chef's expertise and a warm neighbourhood location makes for a wonderful dinner.
We went for Dine Out Vancouver. We had a wonderful dinner and all four of us enjoyed the evening. Staff were friendly and attentive. We sat at the group table and the staff took care to seat new people around us in a friendly manner. We will defiantly be back again.
My wife and I dine out regularly, and having moved to West Vancouver, we generally have to make the trek to Vancouver to find an interesting restaurant. So, we've been looking forward to trying Feast, as it's a lot closer to home. Looks like we'll still be driving into town for our indulgent dining.
The evening we checked out Feast, a week night, it was not overly busy - about half full. Still, while friendly, service was very slow. They were either understaffed, or undertrained, or both. We ordered within 10 minutes of arriving, and with no drinks, and no appetizers to slow things down, we still waited over half an hour for our orders to arrive, after we had placed them. The waiter was apologetic, but clearly he, or the kitchen, were stretched. The real test, of course, is the food. I had the fried chicken, which was good, but not as good as other reviews and the waiter seemed to think. The breading was too much like the tacky coating you'd see on frozen wings, not the delicate, crispy shell one finds in Japanese Karrage or Chinese deep fried dishes. The chicken was a bit overlooked as well, and hence a bit dried out. I also tried the foraged mushrooms & pork belly side dish, which was gritty and bitter-tasting. I had difficulty finding any pork belly, which I had thought would be a crispy, salty offset to the mushrooms. Not! My wife had the Shepherds Pie, and liked it, but said it wasn't good enough to come back for in any hurry. We will give Feast another try in a few months, but based on our first impression, there are a lot of other restaurants in town where we've had better meals.
2 days later I'm still thinking about the meal I had. The fried chicken was awesome as were the carpaccio, marrow toasts and beet avocado fries. Can't wait to go back!
Food was great, service was okay. The seating is poorly laid out. While there is a tall group table that remained empty our entire time there, we ended up sitting next to a party of five, might as well say we dined with them. Had to raise our voices just to hear each other over the adjacent group. A bit more attention to the table layout and some spacing between tables would make for a far more enjoyable experience. Would I go back? The food is a draw, but the seating would make me consider it twice, as when I go out I am happy to pay for a dining experience that does not include feeling like I am back at the army mess hall.
Found this restaurant a couple months back and we keep going back to try everything on the menu. The food is amazing, service is tops. We already have our next reservation booked to go back.

Loved the decor and interesting , innovating lighting throughout. Cozy but well lite . Every thing coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Our lunch choices did not disappoint.Wine list was well balanced but not complicated. Would return again.
A fantastic new restaurant in Dundarave. Throughout the meal, the head chef and the general manager surveyed guests for their opinions. The servers are well trained and accommodated our requests.
Fantastic fried chicken, steamed mussels are also very good...the only complaint are the fries...honestly even the fast food ones are way better, they are super expensive for what you get. Besides that, the rest is really first class. Not a pretentious restaurant, good ambiance, clean and really good service. Prices are fair.
We will return for sure. Highly recommended.
Everything was delightful about our experience. The front door staff to our waiter were personable and expeditious in every way, professional beyond reproach. The food was fabulous. We shared the Squid which was cooked perfectly and presented in a pleasing way. The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich comes with Bacon relish and Fried Green Tomatoes, delicious. The Dungeness Crab Cakes are yummy and really do contain a ton of white crab meat. Salads were fresh and the pulse of the room was good energy. Kayla from Top Chef Canada was there to say hi, she is running the show and is very friendly to guests, we had a big welcome and will return with our husbands. We highly recommend it!
Good portion size. The pork belly sandwich is worth the visit. Good side fries or substitute with salad. We also tried the crab cake benedict. The eggs were cooked to perfection. crab cakes were fresh. The chicken with waffle was a bit overrated.
Extremely overpriced for the standard restaurant fare served. Insulting wine list with only one bottle for under $100.00. This is not Le Corocodile. Trying to be something they're not. Expecting fun , hip neighborhood restaurant with great food but left feeling fleeced b/c it's west van.
Ambiance, service and food are really good, with minor exceptions. However, what is irritating is mains served without vegetables. Given the slightly excessive prices, one would expect vegetables to be included. Ordering additional sides to accompany the main is gouging and really put my back up. And $12 for a Cesar salad that comprised 5 very tasty leaves of lettuce and a sprinkling of cheese (I chose not to have the croutons) - that is really excessive. However, portion size was acceptable.The excellent menu was also spoilt by the mundane choice of desserts - donut or crème caramel (the size of a very small hockey puck).Debatable if I would return, but the good ambiance, good food and a good wine list may override my irritation.
The ambience and decor are great and the food is good enough, not spectacular but no complaints. Service is friendly and unobtrusive. My wife and her brother both had the Duck Confit - they said that, while it was tasty, it did not taste very much like duck! Not sure what happened there. I recommend the brussels sprouts as a side dish.
We were recommended and the location is good. The lighting was such that even with glasses I could not read the menu, but was offered a small flashlight! What we ate was good but due to a change in menu the following day, at least 4 things were off the menu. The noise level was quite high and the table s very close together. We had a pleasant evening, atmosphere friendly but I found the menu had too many fried food items, portions were small, and expensive for a small local bistro. The wine list was pricey too.

Great new gem which was long overdue in this part of town. Menu is well thought out and makes it easy to come back over and over again. Rom is well designed. Only negative is that the room design does not address the sound issues and makes it uncomfortable when rests is busy. This needs to be addressed and is rather easy to fix.
Our second time to the restaurant and our last. It had been a month and a half since our last visit and we thought the kinks would have been worked out. We discovered they were not. Hour and 10 minutes to be seated inside. food marginal. The gazpacho was like ketchup and the curry dish boring and most of the specials gone.
Enjoyed the evening. Only fault really was the seating, very hard benches, for seniors! Perhaps they don't want seniors?

For a neighbourhood restaurant I felt the prices were on the high side considering the ambience is casual. After perusing the menu there really wasn't much that appealed to me other than spending $30.00 for fish. so I asked the party to our left and they raved about the curry and black rice. It was very good We were very disappointed in the mussels. They were small and 10 didn't open. Our server was excellent. Friendly and professional.
WE would like to see you succeed and would like to see more entrees under $25.00. WE are in our late 60s and eat out at least twice a week and do not eat fast food
It was a fun atmosphere with wonderful service. The drinks and food were great! We were really impressed. My husband said that he would definitely like to bring clients back.
Thrilled to have Feast as a new neighbourhood restaurant, it is a breath of fresh air for Dundarave. I have now been twice for dinner and have savoured every morsel that passed my lips! I love the decor and the service has been excellent both times. My only criticism is the noise level, I found it hard to hear the other guests at our table for four and almost had to shout to be heard.

I have been twice and both times everything that was ordered was excellent! The roasted beet salad is a "must have" for me. The Fresh Sheet helps to keep the menu new for regulars. The wine list is small but well chosen and well priced. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. Love it!
Feast is a fantastic new restaurant. Elegantly styled while embodying a casual West Coast feel. Exceptional food and flavours, complemented with a small but thoughtful wine list (that is very reasonably priced!).
Highlights of the meal were the beet gazpacho, crab cakes (stuffed with crab meat!), grilled octopus fusili, and the mussels. Only (minor) disappointment was the halibut. It was perfectly prepared, but not overly creative dish and paled in comparison to the other amazing dishes we tried.
Server was impeccable - friendly, authentic, and knowledgeable. The handmade chocolates that came with the bill - perfect touch!
Restaurant was bustling on Tuesday night in late September, hopefully this is a sign of great things to come.
Excellent waiter, great food...absolutley no complaints.
