   Very mediocre. Terrible bread, like spongy white loaf. Poor chiopino, like tomato sauce, with the bad bread again. I would skip this place.

   Penne/spinach was way too spicy for my taste. Others may like it.

   We stumbled across Feast when looking for a restaurant in Ojai last winter. The venue is small and the menu is eclectic and changes with the seasons. Small wine list with good choices and not overpriced. Have been there a few times and everything was good. Mussels appetizer seems to be a mainstay on the menu and is delicious.

   We have been to Feast Bistro many many times, as we are "locals". Our latest dining experience was on Halloween . Fall was in the air, and the seasonal menu was a perfect reflection. We had a wonderful paparadelle pasta with lamb ragu, and ravioli with a sage burnt butter sauce. We ate every delicious morsel, and enjoyed reasonably priced wine. Susan and Beryl are always gracious and welcoming, as are the servers. Feast Bistro is truly a gem in Ojai, not to be missed.

   Was in OJAI on business. Had a very enjoyable dinner with a colleague. The food was all well prepared and showed creativity. Staff and chef were all very friendly and created a welcoming environment. I started with a salad that used a peanut dressing, sort of like Sichuan noodles but with salad instead of noodles. It worked very well. Moved onto the airline chicken breast which couldn't have been prepared better. My dining partner had a flat bread and salad both of which she like immensely.

   This place is one of our favorite places in town. We go here for special occasions and oftentimes just because we are feeling like a really great meal. Love the ambiance, the food, the servers and especially the chefs. They have a fairly small menu, but there is always something for everyone. Meat eaters, vegetarians, etc. and it's all amazingly delicious. They also have great small plates that you can share, or if you're in the mood for something lighter . There is also a lovely back patio to sit out on for warm nights or one of the many gorgeous Ojai days. Definitely one of our picks to take out of town visitors.

   We felt that we had the [very creative] chef sitting at our table -- her kitchen was that "open." Several of the other diners were asking her questions about ingredients and cooking methods. Great fun! Entrees included some never-before-encountered flavors (e.g., shrimp scampi inside ravioli pillows), service was knowledgeable and friendly. Will return.

   First time to Ojai, first time to Feast, and would definitely eat there again. The open kitchen makes the whole experience come right to your table (if you're near the front), and the affability of the staff & chefs is a definite plus. The duck and the lamb ragu were excellent, though the duck breast skin could benefit from more crispiness.

   Terrific food and lovely ambience. Owner went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and take care of.

    We enjoyed our dinner at The Feast. Menu is eclectic, not too expensive. Good bottle of French red wine that was not overly expensive that went nicely with the duck breast and lamb ragu. Heirloom and lemon tomato salad special was delicious. Enjoyed the last two pieces of a nectarine cobbler that was the perfect end to a great meal.
